TestimonialDavid and John,

Google docs have been a great learning experience for my students and for me. So far, we have done some collaborative work with Core Literature groups, predicting events in the stories different groups are reading. Then we tried making power points in small groups—each person completing a slide on the Respiratory System. We had some problems inserting graphics/clip art into the power point presentations, but I think we figured it out. I’ll put you as able to share a couple of those, if you like. (after school today)

Now, individuals are working on another document about the Alimentary Canal; to explain and describe an experiment done in class. Some students have done a lot of their work at home and that’s new for them. Next, I think we will be working on describing our Owl Pellet dissections and inserting some pictures we took and saved in Picasa.

Hopefully, each project becomes a little more complex and more features are added. We are really enjoying the collaboration portion.

Janetta
