Studio Art: Digital and Mixed Media Unit 1 Term 2 Task 3 Google Earth Landscapes Use Google Earth to select a scene that is of interest to you. It could be your own street, a favourite holiday location or a place you’ve always wanted to visit. 1. Create a number of screen grabs of your area and then find a view from which to create a work that uses your google earth view as a starting point for a painting or drawing. Print out your final view A4 so you have a reference image to work from. 2. Create a study in your visual diary first testing out a variety of mediums. Try using pencil, water colour and marker pens to create different versions of your view. 3. Your final work needs to be A3 size. 4. Ensure you annotate the whole process in your visual diary. Explain what steps you have taken and why each step is important. 5. Why did you pick your particular location? What is the location?
