Coming in seventh in the rankings: Bandon Dunes
Back to Bandon Resort for the seventh ranked public course is Bandon Dunes. Another course dedicated to the bluffs of the Pacific Ocean where high winds, long grass, and endless cliffs mark one of the best golf courses in history.

Eleventh place in the rankings: Spyglass Hill
Once it held the fifth overall ranking but still manages to make a name for itself as the little brother to Pebble Beach where both courses are located. Dramatic hills and cleverly positioned sand dunes make this course a formidable foe and a great pick for the eleventh public course.

Rounding off with twelfth spot: Old MacDonald
One of the newest courses to make the list it quickly attempted to catch up with its older siblings also located at the esteemed Bandon Dunes Resort in southern Oregon. A favorite of golfers who desire a challenge without the added challenge of playing every hole on the bluffs on an ocean cliff.
