Auction Notes Live Standing Bids For dinners and other catalog items with multiple seats available, we will be using “Standing Bids.” When you wish to bid on these items, please stand up and remain standing as the bidding continues. You may sit down if the bid rises past your limit. Whoever is left standing at the end of the bidding is the winner of that item. Hold up your fingers to represent the number of seats you are bidding on and your bidding number. Depending on how many seats each bidder wants, there may be more than one winner per catalog item. Silent Auction Reminder Each catalog item has a bidding sheet. For cases in which there are multiple quantities available, you must indicate your bidding number, how many you want, and the amount you are bidding for each item. The highest bidder(s) win with the possibility of lower bids winning, beginning with the earliest, until all items are dispersed. . Each new bid must be on a new line on the bidding sheet. Do not erase or cross off previous bids. Use the next available line. All bids must be in whole dollar amounts. Please Remember While we do encourage everyone to pay for and pick up your goods promptly when the auction ends, please remember that our brilliant and talented bookkeepers are working as fast as they can, so please treat them gently! It is the joint responsibility of donors and buyers to be sure that goods and services with future delivery dates are handled appropriately and faithfully.
