COMMUNITIES OF FOLLOWERS
We are not about trying to look good. We are trying to follow where Jesus leads us. How can we enjoy people deeply and be our honest, unique, flawed, vibrant selves?
We are meant to learn this together, because frankly, alone we lose steam and we get stuck. We need people around us who genuinely appreciate who we are and care about who we become. We have 30+ different groups of all shapes, sizes and times of the week who walk this way together.
Does any part of this tug at you a bit? That may be God prompting you to just learn a bit more. We would be glad to talk with you and help you sort through some options. Simply contact Paul at [email protected].
Mixed Adults (couples & singles) Mondays 7:00 pm (weekly,1st/3rd) Wednesdays 10:00 am (over 55’s) Thursdays 7:00 pm (2nd/4th)
Women Tuesdays 7:00 pm Wednesdays 9:00 am (Moms) Thursdays 9:00 am
Men Tuesdays 5am & 7am Wednesdays 10am (Senior Men) Thursdays 6am Saturdays 7:30am Jr. and Sr. High School Wed 6:30pm (youth groups)
Our active group of seniors is called Saints Alive. On the second Thursday of each month we gather to venture out, participate in speaker engagements, play games, organize community projects
and offer love and support to one another. In April, we will go to the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve on Thursday, April 14. We will be touring the education center, exhibits, and see the first authentic bald eagle nest to be displayed indoors in the country. Cost is $5, plus lunch at Izzy’s. Sign up in the fellowship hall.
INJUSTICE
Jesus is poking us on the need for the church to have a stronger voice on matters of injustice. As we listen to Him, we would love to hear where you see or where you are involved by injustice in our world. You can use the yellow Connection Card or email [email protected].
FOLLOWING JESUS INTO OUR COMMUNITY
Do you want to see and help the needs of hurting people? You can join us in supporting foster kids/parents, building relationships with the homeless, serving refugees, becoming involved with sharing the Gospel to international guests, or giving your time and talents in a variety of ways . If Jesus is asking you to follow Him by loving your community, share with us and we will find a way to support you. [email protected]
