Goodbye to Phil and June This month, we say goodbye to our Minister, Rev Philip Malloch, and to June, his wife. Phil is retiring after a long and fulfilling ministry, and he and June are moving, not too far away to Torrance. Andrew Weir and Robin Robinson, both former Session Clerks, write about Phil and his time in Killearn, while Nicola Anderson and Moyra Bogie say a few words for June. Phil's final service in Killearn is on Sunday 21 June, and there will be a buffet lunch and time to talk after that morning service. Do come along if you can: we'll all miss Phil and June – though we'll no doubt keep up with both of them in the future. Songs of Praise Due to circumstances beyond their control the Douglas Academy Band will not be able to play at the Songs of Praise, which we had hoped to have on the 14 th June this year. Unfortunately we have therefore had to cancel this event. Over the last two years this has been a very enjoyable evening, and we hope to arrange this again for next year Thank you to both from us all for your time and service in Killearn, and everything you have done for individuals and for the community as part of your service to God. For more on Phil and June see inside pages. More pictures on back page.
