What  can  we  do  to  help?

Problems  and  solu%ons:  •  Hard  to  find  switches  -‐>  they  are  well  lit  via  LED  light  on  the  side  •  Not  within  reach/convenience  -‐>  change  control  locaCon  •  Switches  inconvenient  -‐>  use  moCon  to  acCvate  instead  •  Need  “right”  brightness  -‐>  specify  how  bright/dim  you  want  it  •  Power  savings  -‐>  LEDs  are  power  efficient

…All  light  products  create  events  that  can  trigger  alert  messages

CreaCng  alerts  within  the  home  •  We  are  also  finding  that  home  lighCng  can  be  used  in  other  ways

•  PotenCal  tool  for  communicaCons  and  alerts  too  –  Less  jarring  – Works  for  hearing  impaired  –  Subtle  –  EffecCve

•  Within  your  home,  flash  lights  if:  –  A  doorway  or  exterior  exit  is  opened  – MoCon  detected  in  adjacent  room  (e.g.  when  someone  gets  out  of  bed,  caregiver  can  help)

–  Flash  light  if  someone  is  at  the  front  door
