Facilitator

It’s all about humanware.
Connect to the learners in meaningful
ways, but give them space to make their
own connections within the group.
It’s all about Online Presence.
Be there for your learners and with them. In an
online environment, it is essential that the
members of a Community have the feeling of
belonging, of being part of a group.

It’s all about Personalization.
Cater for your
students’ needs,
learning goals,
passions,
interests.

It’s all about the Facilitator’s Managerial Skills.
Prepare the lesson, give
timely feedback,
encourage knowledge
construction, learn the
tech tricks. Put the
pieces together,
connect the dots to
make a “whole-sense”
to learners.
It’s all about being a Catalyst.
Give the necessary support for learners to enhance
their learning self-directedness, to go forward and
beyond, to become community members, to build
knowledge within their learning group.
It’s all about engagement.
Surprise learners.
Make them want
to be there with
you and the group
in the virtual
environment.
Be there for them.
Inspire them. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tetsumo/3802078924/
