This wonderful par 3, designed by AlisterMacKenzie, bunkered on both sides and framed by magnificentmaturetreestotherightandrearwasdescribedbyChristyO’Connorasoneofthebestpar3sinthecountry.Itisandwill remainachallengingpar3 andas childrenwe recallhavingtouse a driverandnowmanydecadeslaterfindourselvessPllusingthedriver.

SlowplayisascourgeItisagroup’sresponsibilitytokeepupwiththegroupinfront.Ifitlosesaclearholeanditisdelayingthegroupbehind,itshouldinvitethegroupbehindtoplaythrough,irrespecPveofthenumberofplayersinthatgroup.Whereagrouphasnotlostaclearhole,butitisapparentthatthegroupbehindcanplayfaster,itshouldinvitethefastermovinggrouptoplaythrough.

Playerssearchingforaballshouldsignaltheplayers inthegroupbehindthemtoplaythroughassoonasitbecomesapparentthattheballwillnoteasilybefound.Theyshouldnotsearchforfiveminutesbeforedoingso.Havingallowedthegroupbehindtoplaythrough,theyshouldnotconPnueplayunPlthegrouphaspassedandisoutofrange.
