The quaint houses of Mathura often came al ive

with his mischief. The lush forests of Brindhavan

were witness to his e ternal love s tory. And i t was at

the war f ie lds of Kurukshetra that he gave Arjun

the i l luminating discourse of The Bhagavad Geeta.

Makhanchor, Kaanha or Govinda;

the s tories accompanying each of Krishna’s names

are as enigmatic as he was.

Zoya immerses herself into an epic and comes back

brimming with tales of Krishna, immortal ised in

diamonds, precious s tones and gold.

seemed unassuming, Gokul was filled

with tales of Krishna’s mischief. The

milkmaids who came after Krishna

because he had stolen their butter,

left back wishing that he’d come

again and again.
