Going to the dentist
This will help me to understand what happens when I go to the dentist. Please read it with me and look at the photos.
The dentist will talk to you about your teeth.

The dentist may use a special brush to clean your teeth.The brush makes funny noises when it cleans your teeth.
The dentist may use a tube. It takes the water out of your mouth.The tube makes a funny noise.
The dentist may take pictures of your teeth with the x-ray camera.The picture helps the dentist to see your teeth.
The dentist will ask you to OPEN your mouth WIDE.The dentist will use a mirror to look in your mouth.
You will have to sit down and wait for your name to be called.
You will go to a room to see the dentist.Your friend or carer can come with you.
This is the special chair you sit in.It goes up and down.
When you get to the dentists, go to the desk and tell staff your name.
