APPENDIX BTHE GREAT WALL OF CHINAThe Great Wall of China is one of the most magnificent man-made wonders in the history of mankind. It was built over 2,000 years ago by the Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Every year, thousands of tourists travel to visit the Great Wall which curves across the landscape of China like a dragon.

TAJ MAHALThe Taj Mahal is a tomb and a monument in India. It was built by Shah Jahan, the ruler of the Mughal Empire in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It took over 20 years to finish building the Taj Mahal.

EIFFEL TOWERThe Eiffel Tower is located in France. It was made of steel. The tower is 324 meters tall and is one of the worlds beautiful monuments. Millions of people climb the Eiffel Tower every year.

COLOSSEUMThe Colosseum is located in Rome, Italy. It was made of stone. The Colosseum is huge. It could seat 80,000 people. Colosseum was mainly used for gladiator fights.

PETRONAS TWIN TOWERSThe Petronas Twin Towers is one of the tallest buildings in the world. Petronas Twin Towers have 32,000 windows. PetronasTwin Towers has attractions such as thePetronasArt Gallery and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

THE GREAT PYRAMIDThe Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of three pyramids in the Giza. It was located in Egypt. For over 3800 years, the Great Pyramid of Giza was the tallest man made structure in the world. It was built with stone blocks.
