Simple Natural Cleaning SolutionsVinegar is actually a perfect solution for green cleaning! It is truly

versatile, and best of all it is non-toxic and safe to be used around

my entire family! Studies have shown that vinegar kills 99 percent of

surface bacteria, 80 percent of germs, and 82 percent of molds on a

counter.

Vinegar is a natural bi-product of vegetables, fruits, and grains.

It’s both edible and biodegradable and has a basically unlimited

shelf life. Vinegar is acidic based so it is a perfect natural cleaning

solution. When an acid is applied to grease, it breaks it down quickly

making it a perfect household cleaner. Vinegar is also environmentally

friendly, because it is biodegradable and won’t harm the environment

in any way, making it a perfect healthy cleaning solution.

I purchased a Full-Circle set of cleaning spray bottles a while back.

Then I added straight Heinz Cleaning Vinegar to the bottle. In many

cleaning cases you can do a 50/50 ratio to water but I needed full

strength to tackle my mess! I sprinkled the baking soda lightly but

generously around to coat the problem surfaces. I then took the

solution I made with the juice from two lemons and my Heinz Cleaning

Vinegar and sprayed away. It works great!

Go Green! Eco- Friendly CleaningI wanted to try making lemon and lavender cleaners, so armed with my

new-found fragrance knowledge; I headed out to Walmart to pick up some

new Heinz Cleaning Vinegar!

At home I peeled two lemons and added the rinds to a mason jar. I topped

the lemon peels with the cleaning vinegar and allowed it to sit for about a

week to infuse the lemon fragrance.

Lemon Degreaser & All-Purpose Cleaner:

In a spray bottle, mix 14 ounces of lemon infused vinegar with 10 ounces

of water. Shake well. Spray onto surface and wipe with a soft cloth. Polish

with a dry cloth if necessary.

Lavender All-Purpose Cleaner:

In a spray bottle, mix equal parts of vinegar and water. Add 70-80 drops

of lavender essential oil and shake well to combine. Add 2 small drops of

purple food coloring if desired. Spray on to surface and wipe with a soft

cloth. Polish with a dry cloth if necessary. This is my new go-to spray for

polishing countertops!

I’m Gonna Rock Your World With This Produce CleanerI use a vinegar solution to wash fruits and veggies because the

reality for my family, and many families, is that we simply cannot

afford organic produce all the time. The fruit and vegetable

washes you can buy in the store are really expensive; but

cleaning with vinegar and water is just as effective. Heinz just

came out with stronger vinegar for cleaning, which makes it

even more cost effective since you have to use less. The old

ratio of water to 5% acidity vinegar was 10:1. Heinz Cleaning

Vinegar has 6% acidity, so now it is 10:0.75.

I let the produce sit in the wash for a few minutes, and then

scrub it very gently with just my hands. I remove it from the

wash, and rinse it really well.

I love being able to make produce even healthier for my family

by making it cleaner. I really love that there is an even less

expensive way to clean it with Heinz Cleaning Vinegar.

Green CleaningAfter so much reading and knowing which products I needed, I knew

Heinz Cleaning Vinegar would be a great place to start! There are so

many easy cleaning routines that can be done using vinegar. It’s nice to

know that there is a non-toxic and healthy way to clean.

We have a black kitchen faucet and therefore you see that horrible

white residue on it all the time. I’ve tried a number of different pastes

and mixtures but there is usually something still left even after several

cleanings. That is until I found this gem:

Cleaning NaturallyBefore I had kids I could never imagine cleaning with vinegar, but

then I became educated about the benefits. Vinegar is not just for

cooking!

Great Eco-friendly alternative to harsh chemicals.•

Budget friendly.•

Great Sanitizer as well as eliminates odors naturally without •

hiding them.

Heinz is a household name for Vinegar & more that we have

come to trust. By using natural cleaning solutions such as Heinz

Cleaning Vinegar, we are helping the “Big Picture”! Chemical-free

Cleaning keeps those harsh chemicals out of our water supply and

atmosphere!

DIY Steam Cleaning Microwave

Place 50/50 Solution of Heinz Cleaning Vinegar & water in coffee

mug. Then, turn on microwave for two minutes.

Once the two minutes is up, grab a sponge and dip it in mug of

Heinz Cleaning Vinegar/Water

This is the perfect solution to wipe up the messes. The steam helps

to break up the messes so no hard scrubbing needed!

Chemical Free Toy Cleaning? A few years back, a friend introduced me to cleaning with

vinegar and I'm surprised how many people don't know

that it's a safe, chemical-free alternative to traditional

cleaning products that kills 99% of bacteria and is far more

economical than purchasing the "green" products you find

on the shelves in big box stores.

There is a homemade cleaner I make using Heinz Cleaning

Vinegar that I actually prefer to one of the Method products,

which are usually my default eco-friendly cleaning solutions.

What I like about using my own is that I know exactly what I

am putting into that bottle to spray all over my child's toys.

What I didn't like about it and quickly learned to fix was the

very identifiable odor of vinegar. Lemon peels and rosemary

are two great potent and clean smelling things you can use

to neutralize the smell of the vinegar.

I just spray a few squirts of my rosemary and lemon infused

vinegar, wipe them down; and have shiny, sparkly and most

importantly, bacteria free toys.

25 Tips for Naturally CleaningI have changed my cleaning habits over the last two years to

avoid harsh chemicals. One thing I have learned is that vinegar

is a wonderful natural cleaner. Heinz has a new cleaning

vinegar product that I am really excited about. It initiated a

reminder that I have never given any tips on this blog for

natural cleaning with vinegar. So I made y'all a list of my top 25

tips for naturally cleaning with vinegar.

Counter tops - clean with a rag and vinegar.

Drain or garbage disposal - pour in one cup baking soda

then one cup hot vinegar. Let sit for five minutes. Run hot

water down the drain. (Note: some garbage disposals do not

react well to this cleaning method check all manufacturer

instructions first.)

Microwave - mixing equal parts vinegar and water in a

microwave-safe bowl. Bring it to a boil inside the microwave.

Wipe clean.

Going Green Cleaning When I found out that vinegar was good for cleaning, I

started using it on everything. I love the fact that it is non-

toxic, natural and an Eco-friendly cleaning solution. I use it

to refresh or clean my washing machine and dishwasher.

I use it to clean my bathrooms in combination with baking

soda.

I recently found out that Heinz came out with cleaning

vinegar. Heinz Cleaning Vinegar is a safe and versatile

cleaner that you can use throughout your home. It is made

from sun-ripened grain and crystal-clear water, so it's safe

for cooking and perfect for cleaning. This is perfect because

you don't have to worry about making sure to wash the

surface with water after using a chemical cleaner.

Into Green Cleaning?Heinz has recently launched a NEW product called Heinz Cleaning

Vinegar! Don’t let the word “cleaning” scare you from using it. It has

no soap or chemicals in it at all! It’s just vinegar, only less diluted

than regular vinegar so that it does a better job at all things related to

cleaning.

Some things I personally like to clean with vinegar, and other uses:

Mopping wood floors, especially if you have older hardwood floors

that need TLC.

Stove, countertops, cabinets, fridge, microwave, other appliances

(makes the fridge smell fresh and clean).

Toys and Eli’s Thomas the Tank table where he sits to eat.

Mirrors (leaves no streaks).

Sticky stuff - removes anything sticky (stickers, glue, gum).

Vinegar makes a great weed-killer in flower beds/gardens.

Vinegar has always been a major cleaning supply of mine; well, at

least since I’ve been a mom. I’m happy with this new Heinz Cleaning

Vinegar and it will remain the main cleaning method in our household!

How I Clean NaturallyHeinz Cleaning Vinegar has absolutely helped me streamline my

cleaning.

I am fine with using vinegar without any scent, but thought I

would test out some different essential oils in the vinegar and

water solutions to see how it reacted. I tried tea tree oil (which I

use in so many things at home) and a lemon essential oil.

HOW TO:

Just mix equal parts Heinz Cleaning Vinegar and water, and

then add 5-10 drops of lemon essential oil (it depends on the

strength of the scent you desire).

I tried out the lemon cleaning solution on my master bathroom

sinks. I have never been happy with the streaks and spots

left on the fixtures. I just sprayed it on and wiped it off...was

IMPRESSED! Fresh out of the box sparkly! And the lemon scent

was divine.

SPARKLING CLEAN AND WHITE!

Clean GreenFor years now I have used Heinz Vinegar to clean my house.

Years ago someone told me about it and I have used it ever

since. I love it and am always stocked with it! I run out of it fast!

So I am super excited to hear there is now a Heinz Cleaning

Vinegar made especially for cleaning!

This new Vinegar is 100% Natural! YEA for my home and

the environment! Besides it being 100% natural, it is pre-diluted

so that it is the perfect cleaning strength! So, I don’t have to

dilute it myself! One more step gone in my cleaning war with my

house!

If you have never used Vinegar – or have refrained from using it

because you may not like the odor – you might have your mind

changed by this product. The dilution seems to tame the odor

just a bit but I’ll be honest, I really like the clean, fresh scent of

Vinegar. I know it is clean!

There are so many great ways to clean with Heinz Cleaning

Vinegar! How do you use Vinegar in your home to clean the

greener, safer way? What ideas do you have?

27

Bonny Sallee

See What You Can D0The only type of cleaning product that I use has to be all

natural! Did you know that Vinegar is the perfect all natural

cleaner? It is eco-friendly and is non-toxic! So many cleaners

today have many nasty chemicals in them that are harmful for

your body and the environment. If you look at the majority of

cleaners, they say "Keep out of Reach of Children," and that

is a big indication that they are not safe. And so is "Toxic if

swallowed." I have even seen "Harmful and fatal if ingested" on

cleaning bottles. So, why would anybody want to use them?

I want to keep my family safe and if that means using Non-Toxic

cleaners, I'm all for it! Why would anybody want to jeopardize

their health for a cleaning product? So, let me tell you what you

can do with the Heinz Cleaning Vinegar and some other natural

cleaning products! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you how cheap it

is, compared to all of those expensive toxic cleaners. And it's

even cheaper than those natural ready-made cleaners! I paid

$2.98 for a gallon of Heinz Cleaning Vinegar and I would highly

recommend it!

With the Heinz Cleaning Vinegar, use the full strength to clean

your cutting boards to kill all the bacteria on them! I have one

cutting board for meat and poultry, and then I use a different one

for fruit and vegetables.

Heinz Cleaning Vinegar Helped My Coffee Get It’s Groove Back!Between the rise of Pinterest, the hipness of green cleaning, and

the increased appreciation for being thrifty, this really is vinegar’s

time to shine. It has SO many purposes and my goodness; what a

bargain it is!

In my home, we use vinegar as part of our cleaning arsenal

primarily because it is a way to have chemical-free cleaning, but

we are also drawn to it because of its cost-effectiveness.

We also use it as part of a conditioning rinse for our hair in lieu of

store-bought products. And yes, it really does work well!

And we use it in our dishwasher as a rinse aid.

Heinz has recently come out with Cleaning Vinegar, which is

specially formulated for the types of jobs I mentioned above, along

with lots and lots of other cleaning possibilities!

How I Clean NaturallyI have been told by more than one person that I am obsessed with

vinegar. But the truth is that I am obsessed with keeping my house

as non-toxic as I can.

I recently stopped by Walmart to buy some of the new Heinz

Cleaning Vinegar so that I could try it out. Heinz Cleaning Vinegar is

more concentrated than regular white vinegar and is a non-toxic and

eco-friendly cleaning product.

I bought some of the Heinz Cleaning Vinegar and took it home to fill

up my spray bottles. I keep three spray bottles loaded with vinegar:

one in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, and one in the laundry area.

It is a quick and easy way to be ready to clean with vinegar. I advise

that you use a food grade funnel to pour the vinegar into the spray

bottle so that you don’t waste any and spill it everywhere.

One cleaning tip that I love is to sprinkle baking soda

on difficult areas such as soap scum and hard water spots and then

spray the areas with vinegar. The reaction is immediate and it cuts

through tough spots better than any other cleaner I have tried. The

best part is that there are no caustic fumes!

Going Green with Heinz VinegarOur family has been making the switch over to a completely green

cleaning regimen. I was excited to learn that Heinz now makes

cleaning vinegar. You can have a completely clean house without

the use of chemicals with just a few things you can find right in

your pantry. Vinegar is the staple with some extra cleaning help

from baking soda, dawn, and salt; throw in a micro fiber cloth and

you are all set. It is the perfect cleaning solution as it is completely

biodegradable, non- toxic, gentle on your skin, streak free and not to

mention economical and a huge time saver.

Use a micro fiber and a misting of vinegar to shine fixtures, plus clean

surfaces and mirrors.

Pour a cup of vinegar directly in your dishwasher basin. Run a

normal cycle, then wipe with a microfiber cloth. The vinegar and hot

water will work to remove food scum and soap residue. To keep your

dishwasher looking clean, add a couple of tablespoons to each wash

cycle directly to the basin and only use a couple of tablespoons of

detergent. And there is no need to fill the dispenser.

I love this cleaner as it is non-toxic and will remove tough stains and

soap scum with little to no scrubbing!

34

Patricia Cook

Going Green and CleanI recently heard about Heinz Cleaning Vinegar at Walmart,

and headed over to buy some. It is made from select sun-

ripened grain, and diluted with water to a special strength of

6% acidity, which helps to sanitize and inhibit mold growth

and bacteria from surfaces.

My mother used vinegar for all her household cleaning for as

long as I can remember. Back when I was a girl, harsh and

toxic cleaning products were really the only ones to choose

from. She didn't want to expose her family to this, and chose

to use vinegar instead. She passed on some great cleaning

tips to me on how to use vinegar for cleaning. She would

have loved the new Heinz Cleaning Vinegar for sure!

I found the Heinz Cleaning Vinegar in the regular vinegar isle

at Walmart. It is sold in one gallon sizes, and at $2.98, it is

really a great bargain. It also can be used in place of other

harsh or toxic cleaning agents in your home.

Cleaning with Vinegar Newbie HereThose of you who are natural cleaning junkies, you can turn your

head a moment while I make my confession to the world: I’ve never

tried cleaning anything with vinegar before. There’s a first time for

everyone, correct? Please say you don’t hate me now. Because I’ve

never used it before, I decided to go ahead with the new All Natural

Heinz Cleaning Vinegar with Special Cleaning Strength.

While the idea to actually use vinegar to clean with came about rather

recently for me, a few weeks ago I came across the blog of a gal

who teaches at our blended model school and she gave a variety of

great ideas on what she does with vinegar and why. Two big surprises

came out of that post: vinegar as a hair conditioner and vinegar as a

fabric softener. I’m pretty sure I won’t be trying the first one, but I can

totally see myself trying the second.

I do love the non-toxic, healthy benefits of cleaning with vinegar, so

I’m willing to learn more. It’s easy to find tips and tricks on the internet

just by googling “cleaning with vinegar.” One of the very first sites that

pop up in that search lists a ton of uses for vinegar. I’m going to try

the one in which they suggest running a cycle in an empty dishwasher

with a cup of vinegar to clean and deodorize it. I’m DEFINITELY trying

this one out as soon as I can!

38

Cyn Gagen

Eco Friendly CleaningI decided to really put this product to the test by picking out two of

my worst cleaning jobs. For the first one, I’m going to try cleaning my

windows. Now you might wonder why that’s one of my dirtiest jobs

but you can see in the pictures that my dog Trinity, a big German

Shepherd, just LOVES to leave her “artwork” (also known as nose

prints) all over the windows in my house and van. These can be

difficult to remove without leaving behind smudges and smears so

I knew that if Heinz® All Natural Cleaning Vinegar could take care

of this and leave behind clear, sparkling glass, I was really on to

something.

I used the Heinz Vinegar straight because these nose smudges

are pretty stubborn; but for regular window and glass cleaning, I

dilute it a bit with some water. Put this into a spray bottle for ease of

use (I found the bottles at the dollar store). You can see the results

yourself! It worked beautifully!

Give Heinz Cleaning Vinegar and safe, healthy cleaning a try in your

home! I’d love to hear about your results!

Cleaning with VinegarAfter some research, I decided to test vinegar as a non-toxic,

environmentally friendly, healthy cleaning agent.

Heinz has a new Cleaning Vinegar available and I went to

Walmart to buy some. I was impressed that this vinegar is such

an affordable alternative to other cleaning products.

I'm excited to share some of my natural cleaning tips with you!

Cleaning the coffee maker was the first test. I used one cup of

Heinz Cleaning Vinegar and brewed it as I would a pot of coffee,

then poured it back in and brewed it again. The vinegar will

remove the mineral deposits from the coffee maker and allow it

to function better.

The microwave was next on the list. With seven people using it,

our microwave is often covered in splatters and I hate scrubbing

it down.

I really loved my vinegar experiment and I can't wait to continue.

I already have plans to use vinegar as a fabric softener and as a

soap scum remover.

Mission: Clean House Yes, my mission, whether I wanted to accept it or not, was

to get my house clean. I wanted the house to not only

smell fresh and clean, but also to cut down on the germs

so easily spread this time of year.

Faced with a giant mess, I was excited to try out the new

Heinz Cleaning Vinegar. So that meant I needed to clean

the microwave, counters, sink dishwasher and toilet with

vinegar.

Sink - Scrubbing Paste - 1/4 c. baking soda, 2 tsp. dish

soap, 1/2 c. vinegar. Wait till the vinegar stops bubbling.

Use the paste to scour the sink, around faucets, tub and

grout.

Counters - Undiluted vinegar spray. Leave for a few

minutes then wipe off.

Mission Accomplished!

Homemade Citrus Infused All Purpose Cleaner Vinegar is non-toxic and perfect for green cleaning. I always

have a bottle on hand for everything from mopping to daily

cleaning. I even use vinegar instead of fabric softener. This

new Heinz Cleaning Vinegar comes in such a huge jug and

it’s so cheap. You can’t go wrong with it.

At any given time you’ll find mason jars filled with citrus

rinds, peels, juice, and vinegar in my kitchen. I use the citrus

infused vinegar to make my homemade all-purpose cleaner.

I mix everything up in an old glass pitcher. I find that the

reaction between the vinegar and baking soda can cause a

plastic gallon jug to expand and it can get a little scary, and

that’s why I go for the glass. Mix all 3 ingredients together,

and then pour into your spray bottle. How easy is that?

I’m so excited about Heinz Cleaning Vinegar and all that it

offers!

3 (Top Secret) Tricks for Cleaning Over the years I've discovered a few cleaning tricks where vinegar

is a star. Since I'm always looking for new cleaning solutions, I

decided to try out Heinz Cleaning Vinegar. Here's three ways you

can achieve chemical-free cleaning, a fresh home, and good eco-

karma to boot!

Easy Grout Cleaner (a.k.a "The Grout Blaster")

Sprinkle baking soda on the grout. Use your finger to make sure it

covers all of the grout, also wiping away any excess powder. Use

a spray bottle filled with vinegar to apply it over the baking soda.

Sixth grade science project lovers unite-- the {safe} chemical

reaction does all the work for you! Let it sit and bubble and scrub

itself for a few minutes. But not too long, or the dirt settles back

into the grout. Using a grout brush, give it a little scrub to get the

dirty solution off the grout. Prepare for it to be muddy! Wipe up

the muddy solution (I used rags instead of paper towels, to further

my green cleaning mojo). Then, clean as usual: quickly run the

vacuum to get up excess baking soda, and then go over it with a

mop.

47

48

Wendy Limauge

Natural CleaningWith anything new you try, it takes time to learn; and my new

methods of cleaning are going to take some “retraining of

the brain,” but I think we are off to a good start with Heinz

Cleaning Vinegar.

The things I like the most about this product are that it is non-

toxic, eco-friendly, and is so natural you could even cook with

it. That is one safe product to use in the house in my book.

Plus it cleans superbly!

Have you ever used Vinegar to clean before? What tips can

you give me?

Make Your Floors Shine: Combine one-half cup Heinz

Cleaning Vinegar and one gallon of water to clean tile or

linoleum. For tough stains, apply undiluted Cleaning Vinegar

directly on the stain.

Cut Dust and Grease: Keep exhaust fan grills, ceiling fan

blades and air-conditioning grills grease- and dust-free by

wiping with Heinz Cleaning Vinegar.

Heinz Cleaning Vinegar is going to be my go to cleaner from

now on!

50

Hanan Webster

How to Easily Clean Kids ToysHeinz Cleaning Vinegar is a cost-effective alternative to harsh

cleaners and chemicals, which is very important to me. This

is especially true if you like to clean often, which I really don’t.

However, with having children I feel that it is really important.

Have you ever tried using vinegar to clean your children’s toys?

It’s really quite easy. You load up the dishwasher with anything

that is plastic or rubber. Make sure not to put on anything that

uses batteries though. Then just add in 1 1/2 – 2 cups of vinegar

and wash. That’s it!

For those toys that cannot be put into the dishwasher, you can

create a Citrus Infused All-Purpose Cleaner. It can easily be used

to spray and wipe down the bigger toys, or wooden ones.

Either way, it helps to clean your toys periodically, to eliminate

germs in the home and keep our kiddos from getting sick.

52

Glenda Embree

Best DIY Bathroom Spray, Tub Scrub and Window CleanerIf you haven’t cleaned with vinegar before, you’re missing out on

a very effective multi-purpose cleaner or cleaning ingredient. For

those just getting started with natural cleaning supplies, the biggest

objection to vinegar is usually that they are afraid their home will

smell like vinegar. Honestly, you don’t notice the smell unless

you are using it straight, and even then, that vinegar fragrance

dissipates pretty quickly.

There are literally hundreds of uses for vinegar, and some pretty

well known, while others may be new to you. For instance, vinegar

is good for taking the itch out of bug bites. And if you put it in

a spray bottle and spritz it on your skin, the smell will go away in a

few minutes, but you will be protected from bug bites for the rest of

the evening.

Along the same vein, pouring vinegar around the outside of your

kids’ backyard pool will keep flies and pests away. Plus, if you do

the same around the children’s sandbox, not only will it repel bugs,

but it will keep neighborhood cats from using it as a litter box. This

is such a good idea.

You will have sparkling clean, streak-free windows for pennies!

55

Mary Beth Sharkey

Eco-Friendly Cleaning TipsI want products that are safe, clean smelling, environmentally

friendly and most of all, family friendly! I’m also looking for

versatility and I have found ALL of that in Heinz Cleaning Vinegar.

You can clean your house from top to bottom using this great

product. I have so many tips but I will share my two favorite

homemaking tips with you today.

I have had a sluggish bathroom sink drain for weeks but not

anymore. This is easy, effective and quick.

First, pour boiling water down your drain. I used a tea kettle for this.

You’ll want to pour it into a sink that is empty of water.

Next, add 1/2 cup baking soda and 1 cup Heinz Cleaning Vinegar.

When you add the vinegar to the baking soda there WILL BE a

chemical reaction with popping and bubbling.

Let the above mixture settle down and do its magic for about 10

minutes. When all the action has stopped, pour one cup of hot

water down your drain. Wait a bit and then turn on straight hot

water and watch your previously sluggish drain now flow smoothly.
