Go/Grow Free-Blocks Project Size: 45” x 46 1/2” ©2019 Katja Marek Use the shapes shown on page 2and low volume fabrics to whip-stitch this fabulous little quilt-top. Each fractured hexagon block and 3” low-volume hexagon is surrounded by a ring of matching low volume hexagon-thirds to create a larger hexagon. Large half-hexagon blocks consisting of a half-hexagon and 3 hexagon thirds fill the top and bottom edges of the quilt. As well, large vertical half-hexagon consisting of an irregular pentagon, 2 hexagon thirds, and 2 hexagon-kites fill the left and right edges of the quilt. I quilted this on my long-arm with random waves and swirls. Page 1 of 2
