Gods’ Council Determining the Fate of Humanity
Hominids have walked planet Earth for nearly 6 million years. As they have grown, spread,
developed wider communication and richer culture, they’ve also evolved into a problem race.
Despite having all the tools and resources to be sustainable and ecological, the spread of
mankind, like a biblical plague, has involved consumption of resources without renewal,
pollution without cleansing, perpetual war and enslavement (militarily and digitally), and
selfish desire to maintain habits for convenience and not make the changes required to keep
this same world alive.
Pollution levels have reached a point of no return, oceanic waters stirred by the moon are
thickening and festering under the weight of effluence discarded. Humanity has brought the
heavens down upon their heads time and time again through misdemeanor. Has the time
come to end the human experiment? Has it ignored the clues and failed one time too many?
Despite their vile atrocities, there is a brilliant light that comes from humanity; an ability to
care, to love, to help and nurture. The light is fading but it is not gone yet.
The assembled delegates of this committee represent the ideologies and values of deities
ancient and modern from every corner of the world. This council must decide if humanity
has outstayed its welcome; can the world be returned to its halcyon ages or should the slate
be wiped clean? The fate of humanity must be decided.
All of the delegates in this committee must stay true to their respective god’s philosophy.
