WAR IN HEAVEN

There is a specific prophecy in Revelation 12 about anevent that will trigger a WAR between the righteous angelsled by Michael and the evil demons led by Satan the devil.As we will see, it will revolve around the MAN CHILD inverse 5. Before we move on to that, let us know andunderstand how powerful Satan the devil is (emphasismine in bold).

THE ARCHITECT OF LAWLESSNESS

Such a massive lurch toward lawlessness hasa cause. I want to show you exactly whatthat cause is. Most people will scoff at what Iam about to say—but it is absolutely true,and you can prove it from your Bible.

The most lawless being in the universe is aspirit being, Satan the devil. 2 Corinthians4:4 calls him “the god of this world.” Whatdoes that mean? It means that this evil

spirit being has frightening power—powerwe can hardly imagine! To say that he is thegod of this world means that he rules— andeven more: It means many of the people inthis world worship him!

One of the Bible’s most remarkablepassages to help us understand theextent of the devil’s power is the bookof Revelation. This book puts allprophecy into a time sequence, ortime frame. That means you can knowwhen the prophecy is going to befulfilled. If you don’t understandRevelation, you don’t understandBible prophecy!

Revelation 12 prophesies of a war in heavenwhere great angelic beings fought againstthe devil and his demons, of which there aremillions. Here is the outcome of thatspiritual war: “the dragon fought and hisangels [the fallen angels—the demons], Andprevailed not; neither was their place foundany more in heaven. And the great dragonwas cast out, that old serpent, called theDevil, and Satan, which deceiveth thewhole world: he was cast out into the earth,and his angels were cast out with him”(verses 7-9).

Notice: This verse says Satan deceives thewhole world. That’s talking abouteverybody! His deception affects this world’seducation, its religion, its politics, its science—everything! So says your Bible.

Ephesians 2:2 calls Satan “the prince of thepower of the air, the spirit that now workethin the children of disobedience.” He is

stirring up people’s emotions, moods andattitudes. When people get into a negativeemotion, a bad attitude or a wrong mood, heworks on those people. He has power toinfluence those wrong emotions; he hasdeceived the world through them! Peopledon’t understand God’s Word—they don’thave any depth spiritually—so they justfollow along emotionally, and Satandeceives them all. That is amazing, but it’sbiblical and you can prove it to yourself, andyou certainly should.

Revelation 12:9 is also an end-timeprophecy. It tells us that Satan was cast tothis Earth. When did this happen?God’s people must have this revealed tothem, or why would God make theprophecy? You must know if you are tounderstand what’s going on in your nationand in this world.

THE DEVIL AND MILLIONS OF DEMONSARE NOW CONFINED TO THIS EARTH.THEY CAN NO LONGER GO OUT INTOTHE UNIVERSE. THAT’S THE FIRSTTIME THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED!

What are these evil spirits doing? These arebeings with awesome power. Surely theirbeing cast down to this Earth wouldhave enormous impact on worldaffairs. We must be seeing thingshappen that would indicate the realityof this end-time Bible prophecy. Howdid it affect this world? And howmuch is it going to impact your life?Their dirty work is going on now, butdo we see it? Do we understand it? Ifthis is actually true, then there must

Look at what happened when Satan and his demons werecast down and confined to this earth:

Exorcisms On the RisePAUL BURNELL

In a world where Satanists appear on prime-time TV, neo-pagan religions gather vastfollowings and tarot card readings areavailable in the newspapers, experts say it’sno surprise that the number of exorcismsworldwide is rising. Father James LeBar,exorcist for the Archdiocese of New York,said he has seen a “large explosion” in casessince 1990.

“Ten years ago I had no cases and now Ihave 300,” said Father James LeBar, anexorcist for the Archdiocese of New York.Most of his cases, he said, don’t need anexorcist. They have “unusual thingshappening — things moving around thehouse or people claiming to have seen orheard the evil one. Some people suffer thephenomena without actually beingpossessed. An exorcism is primarily used forpeople who are possessed by the devil,whose wills have been overtaken by Satan.”

Father John Hampsch, a psychologist, hasalso seen more reports of demonicinterference. “I have seen a dramatic rise incases. In the past three hours before youphoned me, I have had three cases of peoplesuffering serious contamination with theforces of evil. I am dealing with 10 to 15

cases a week.”

A popular author and speaker on manyareas of faith and spirituality, the ClaretianMissionary Father says the demonic takesup much of his time. “A large amount do notrequire formal exorcism — they are notcases of possession. They are cases ofdemonic oppression, obsession, depressioninfestation … very painful and verydistressing.”

One Italian Roman Catholic priest has even becomefamous because of the rise of demonic possessions since1986:

Gabriele Amorth (1925-present) is an ItalianRoman Catholic priest and an exorcist of theDiocese of Rome who claims to havecleansed tens of thousands of demonicpossessions. Amorth was born in Modena,Emilia. He was ordained a Roman CatholicPriest in 1954 and became an officialexorcist in June 1986, under the tutelageof Candido Amantini… In October, 2000, hesaid he had performed over 50,000exorcisms (which ranged from “a fewminutes” to “several hours” in length)meaning he averaged close to ten exorcismsper day during his career up to the year2000. In March 2010, he claimed thatnumber had increased to 70,000.,corresponding to roughly 8 exorcisms perday on average from 1986-2010.

Gabriele further commented in an interview with TheSunday Telegraph:

“The demand for exorcism is growingas never before. Fifteen years agothere were 20 church-appointedexorcists in Italy. Now there are 300…What we do know is that the problemis getting worse. The Devil is gainingground. We are living in an age whenfaith is diminishing. If you abandonGod, the Devil will take his place.“

Continuing from what Mr. Flurry wrote:

God’s Word stands or falls on whether ornot we can prove this. And we certainly canprove it. The effects and Bible prophecy willtell us when and how it all happened andhow it continues to unfold.

This is EARTHSHAKING even - UNIVERSE-SHAKING in many ways! It is bad news, and yet, in the bigger picture it’s also very good news—the best news we couldpossibly hear. Here is why: “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth andof the sea! [even of the sea, it’s so bad] for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time” (verse 12).

Satan and all his demons were kicked out ofheaven—so they’re rejoicing in heaven!There’s a lot more freedom and happinessthere as a result! But woe to us on Earth!This brings a whole new level of suffering tothis world. Satan was already beingworshiped on this Earth, but now it’seven worse. Now he’s cast down, and he is

full of wrath for a very definite reason. Satanknows he has a short time—but a short timebefore what?

This statement shows that this is an end-time prophecy. Satan was cast down just a“short time” before Jesus Christ returns tothis Earth and kicks Satan off his throne!(e.g. Revelation 20:1-2, 10). That is thespectacular, joyfully good news. Christ isabout to return to this Earth and stop all ofthe hatred, racism, violence and war that iscaused by Satan’s influence. Everything isset for a new government to be in placeon Earth very shortly—almost certainly inless than a decade.

However, you need to understand whatSatan is going to do before that happens.Satan, knowing his time is short, is full ofwrath like never before! That is a majorprophecy in your Bible. Satan knows he hasa short time to do what? What is he doingthat he won’t be doing in a very short time?This is a spiritual force of tremendous eviland destructive power! Satan is a liar and amurderer. And he and his evil minions areconfined to this Earth. What are they doing?We have to know. We must understand ourenemy! (pp. 5-6, ibid.)

Do we really KNOW and UNDERSTAND our enemy?Have we really LEARNED the LESSONS from recentChurch history? It appears we HAVEN’T! And it isprophesied in our own Bibles that Satan has deceived thewhole world even God’s own Church! And with the surgeof DEMONIC ACTIVITIES rampant in every corner of theearth, it serves as an irrefutable fact that it is indeed thefulfillment of verse 12:

“Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye thatdwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters ofthe earth and of the sea! for THEDEVIL IS COME DOWN UNTO YOU,HAVING GREAT WRATH, because heknoweth that he hath but a short time.”

Not only do the people of this world that are being affectedby Satan’s wrath, the same is true of all the inhabitants ofthe earth and also of the sea!

Marine Mammal Mass MortalityEvents

Over the past two decades, there has beenan unprecedented number of marinemammal mass mortality events involvingpinnipeds, dolphins, whales, manatees anddugongs. Some of the species impacted areendangered — the Florida manatee, thehumpback whale, and the Mediterraneanmonk seal — and can ill afford suchdramatic population losses. In U.S. watersthere has been a number of bottlenosedolphin mortality events, including thedeath of over half of the inshore populationalong the east coast during 1987-88, foursuch occurrences in the Gulf of Mexicobetween 1990 and 1994 (each involving thedeaths of at least 200 animals), and 107animals in an event along the FloridaPanhandle in 2004.

Sixteen humpback whales were found deadalong the Maine coast in an event in 2003.Over 150 manatees died in a major die-offduring the early part of 1996 while anotherdie-off in 2003 claimed 96 animals. Twohundred and eighty-three and 368 graywhale strandings were reported along the

North American Pacific coast in 1999 and2000 respectively, exceeding by far thenumber of strandings in previous years.Over 400 California sea lions died in analgal toxin-related event in 1998.

Globally, recent marine mammal massmortality events include, for example, thedeath of over 18,000 seals in Europe during1988/89 and a further 22,000 in 2002;some 6,000 striped dolphins in theMediterranean Sea from 1990 to 1992; threelarge mortality events between 1995 and2004 involving sea lions and dolphins in theGulf of California; well over 100 dugongs offeastern Australia in 1992; and over 150highly endangered monk seals off thenorthwest African coast during the earlierpart of 1997. In addition, an unprecedentednumber of sperm whales stranded alongEuropean coasts from 1994 through 1996.

Satan's Great Wrath – The Great Tribulation

If you will search the internet and look for more news of

mass deaths of birds and fish in every part of the world,you will be convinced that Satan and his demons hasindeed been cast down to this earth just as prophesied inRevelation 12. But what is the significance of that specificevent in the prophetic time frame laid by God through theapostle John’s writings?

WHEN SATAN WAS CAST DOWN

Look again at this Revelation 12 prophecy.Verse 12 warns the inhabitants of the earthand sea because Satan was cast down. Thenas soon as that happened, what was the veryfirst thing Satan did? Verse 13 shows thatHe attacked the Church of God! That is whatthis “woman” is prophetically.

Perhaps you, like many of our readers, haveno history with that church. But whathappened there is still extremely relevant toyou, and I will explain why.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW SATANOPERATES, JUST LOOK AT WHAT HEDID TO THAT CHURCH.

This verse specifically dates this prophecy.

We can point to a specific time when God’strue Church was forcibly attacked by thedevil. This is spoken of in another prophecy—in 2 Thessalonians 2—that links directlywith Revelation 12 in order to establish thetime frame.

There the Apostle Paul prophesied, “Now webeseech you, brethren, by the coming of ourLord Jesus Christ, and by our gatheringtogether unto him, That ye be not soonshaken in mind, or be troubled, neither byspirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us,as that the day of Christ is at hand” (2Thessalonians 2:1-2). When is Christcoming? How can we know? God tells uswhat will happen just before He returns.

Notice this astounding prophecy: “Let noman deceive you by any means: for that day[the Second Coming of Christ] shall notcome, except there come a falling away first,and that man of sin be revealed, the son ofperdition [or destruction]” (verse 3).Something terrible happened insideGod’s Church, and by it, Satan wasable to destroy many peoplespiritually. This is a great “fallingaway” in the Church—exactly whatRevelation 12:13 is about. When Satanwas cast down he attacked God’sChurch, which triggered a greatfalling away because most of God’speople were deceived and God’s Workwas destroyed!

This prophecy says a “man of sin” would berevealed inside that church. This man iscalled the “son of destruction”—the sametitle as Judas Iscariot, who was actually

possessed by the devil (Luke 22:3; John13:27). Satan has a lot of power. And Satanused a man!

This man “opposeth and exalteth himselfabove all that is called God, or that isworshipped; so that he as God sitteth in thetemple of God, shewing himself that he isGod” (2 Thessalonians 2:4). And this Satan-inspired man showed himself to be God—and many people believed it, amazingas that sounds!

He acts like he’s God, taking the place ofGod in that temple. That is how arrogantSatan is—acting like God. He thinks he’sGod—and has rebelled against God and triedto overthrow God!

That is why Satan was CAST DOWN in thisend time. He tried to overthrow God once(Isaiah 14:12-14; Ezekiel 28:14-17), and thentried again just before Christ is to return(Revelation 12:7-9). This time, he wasthrown down to Earth and confined there;he is no longer allowed in the rest of theuniverse.

The prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2 alsoincludes another important individual.Verse 7 says, “For the mystery of lawlessnessis already at work. Only he who nowrestrains it will do so until he is out of theway” (English Standard Version). This is amystery of lawlessness. That is what it’s allabout.

This “mystery of lawlessness” was workingin God’s Church already, but somebody(“he who now restrains”) wascontrolling it and ensuring it didn’t

openly manifest itself. As long as he wasthere, Satan could not take over theChurch; the falling away couldn’t occur. (pp.6-7, America Under Attack, 2013 edition)

Just look at how important this somebody (“he who nowrestrains”) in God’s Church is – he is the same MANCHILD that was brought forth by the WOMAN.

Do you know who this man is? Herbert W.Armstrong was the head of God’s Church forover 50 years, and God used him to keep theChurch on track. Then, he was taken “out ofthe way.” That happened when God allowedhim to die in 1986.

And notice what happens immediately afterthat: “And THEN SHALL THAT WICKED[Satan the devil] BE REVEALED, whom theLord shall consume with the spirit of hismouth, and shall destroy with the brightnessof his coming” (verse 8). This man has to beREVEALED. Somebody is going to REVEALhim!

After that man was taken out of theway, Satan was cast down! Noweverybody can see him because he isfull of wrath and wreaking greatdestruction! Satan turned 95 percent ofthe people in God’s Church away from God.Only 5 percent remained to proclaim themessage! God had to raise up another workto get His message out. He uses that 5percent that remained behind to revealSatan and his man to those who are willingto see.

THESE PROPHECIES HAVE COME TOPASS. Once Satan was cast down, he used a“man of sin” right at the head of God’s

Church to lead in the destruction of thatchurch from the inside, from right at thetop!

“Even him, whose coming is after theworking of Satan with all power and signsand lying wonders” (verse 9). This is afterthe working of Satan. Can you detect thisevil spiritual influence in our world today? Itis a real spiritual power, and it almostmesmerizes people with its lies! This pointsright back to Revelation 12:9 and the factthat Satan has unmatched powers ofDECEPTION. It is all prophesied in yourBible!…

In fulfillment of the prophecy in Revelation12:13, Satan destroyed the Church ofGod. This happened beginning in1986, and I saw it happen. God’s loyalmembers were the primary victims.

Here is why this is so important to you. (pp.8-9, ibid.)

As Mr. Gerald Flurry wrote that Satan and his demonshave waged WAR against God. Michael and his angelsthen fought this precisely when the MAN CHILD, Mr.Herbert W. Armstrong was TAKEN OUT OF THE WAYand died on January 16, 1986. And eventually Satan andhis minions were all CAST DOWN to this earth wreakinghavoc, with his FIRST TARGET on sight – THEWOMAN CLOTHED WITH THE SUN AND THEMOON UNDER HER FEET AND ON HER HEAD ACROWN OF TWELVE STARS.

Mr. Armstrong has always said that the Great Tribulationis the same as the “time of Jacob’s trouble” as prophesiedin Jeremiah 30:7. Jacob as he often said refers to thebirthright nations Britain and America.

OUR GREAT TRIBULATION

Notice Jeremiah's Prophecy:

“For thus saith the [Eternal]; We have hearda voice of trembling, of fear, and not ofpeace. Ask ye now, and see whether a mandoth travail with child? wherefore do I seeevery man with his hands on his loins, as awoman in travail, and all faces are turnedinto paleness? Alas! for that day is great, sothat none is like it: it is even the time ofJacob’s TROUBLE…” (Jeremiah 30:5-7).

Remember—in passing on the birthright tothe two sons of Joseph, Ephraim andManasseh (Genesis 48:16), Jacob said, “Letmy name be named on them”—on Ephraimand Manasseh—who today are Britain andAmerica. This tells on whom this mostterrible of national calamities is to fall—onBritain and America.

But now when is it to fall? Do not assumethis is referring to anything that did happento ancient Israel. (pp. 173-174, The UnitedStates and Britain in Prophecy, 2009edition)

Now notice the title of Mr. Gerald Flurry’s booklet: “AMERICA UNDER ATTACK” – is this not a TANGIBLE PROOF itself that we are indeed in the midst of the “TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE“?

SATAN'S SECOND TARGET

The Bible describes the Church as spiritual“Israel” (e.g. Galatians 6:16; Ephesians2:12). When Satan was cast down,he immediately went after spiritual Israel.That was his first target.

But he didn’t stop there. After that, hedirected his attack against physicalIsrael. Who is that? Specifically, it is threeof the modern nations that descended fromthe biblical nation of Israel—chiefly theUnited States, Britain and the Jewish state.(Proof of these nations’ identity can befound in Mr. Armstrong’s book The UnitedStates and Britain in Prophecy, one of theworks we won in that court case, and whichwe will also send you for free.)

This is a big goal of the devil and hisdemons: They are out to bring Israel down,whether spiritual or physical Israel. I believewhat happened in that church shows yousomething of a blueprint for what Satanbegan to do in these nations. That is whythat church history is so relevantand important for you to grasp…

After the devil attacked the Church in verse13, and devastated it and destroyed thepeople’s faith, he continues his destructiverampage on a larger scale… That also tellsyou that the devil is attacking the nations ofIsrael—three in particular…

Satan attacked the Church, then he attackedthe NATIONS of Israel. This means thesenations are in serious trouble! (pp. 9-10, op.cit.)

Satan attacking America, Britain and the Jewish state?Does it not amount to being the “TIME OF JACOB’STROUBLE” as prophesied by the prophet Jeremiah? Lookaround you and see with your own eyes what is happeningto those three nations today? Satan and his demons arenow roaming wild on this earth so we ought to be soberand ever more vigilant like Gideon’s army (Judges 7:6-7).

“Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye thatdwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters ofthe earth and of the sea! for the devilis come down unto you, having greatwrath, because he knoweth that he hath buta short time.” (Revelation 12:12)

Notice carefully what has been inspired to be written herein verse 12 – SATAN HAS COME DOWN HAVINGGREAT WRATH! And what did Mr. Armstrong wroteabout SATAN’S WRATH?

The Great Tribulation is really causedby Satan’s wrath, but the Day of theLord will come upon us as a result ofGod’s wrath on Satan and the peoplethat are following his way. SermonTranscript — Revelation 12, April 18, 1981

Now here is how Mr. Armstrong described the GreatTribulation:

“Notice that! Here is the Great TRIBULATION! And this fifth seal pictures it as a time of martyrdom of saints–of truly converted, begotten children of God!” (p. 26, The Book of Revelation Unveiled at Last!)

Got it? The GREAT TRIBULATION has everythingto do with the MARTYRDOM OF THE SAINTS –OF TRULY CONVERTED, BEGOTTEN CHILDRENOF GOD! It has to happen WITHIN God’s Church wherethe truly converted, begotten children of God areAccording to Mr. Armstrong the GREAT TRIBULATIONis a result of Satan’s wrath. Now consider this: When Mr.Armstrong died on January 16, 1986, Mr. Flurry said thatRevelation 12:7-13 has been fulfilled. Satan ATTACKEDthe Worldwide Church of God (WCG) – “he persecuted thewoman which brought forth the MAN CHILD.” ThroughSatan’s relentless persecution, the WCG caved in and the

Philadelphia Church of God (PCG) was born. (For adetailed explanation, you may read the prophesied littlebook, Malachi’s Message). But Satan continued topersecute THE WOMAN who is clothed with theSUN and the MOON under her feet, and on herhead A CROWN OF TWELVE STARS – he wagedanother WAR and this time its in the COURT ROOM overthe right to publish Mr. Armstrong’s book Mystery ofthe Ages and his other writings. Since he has beensuccessful in conquering the WCG, he then used it topursue his main agenda which resulted in a grueling sixyear court battle that concluded in VICTORY for the PCGon January 16, 2003.

Now in order to protect the Philadelphia Church of Godfrom Satan’s further attack, Mr. Gerald Flurryimplemented the NO CONTACT POLICY whoseoutcome is the prophesied IRON WALL of theEzekiel 4 siege. During this same time period whenthe NO CONTACT POLICY was being introduced, hiswife Barbara became ill with a congestive heart failurewhich led to her eventual death on September 5, 2004.But unlike Mr. Armstrong, Mr. Flurry DIDNOT acknowledge the SPIRITUAL implication of herailment and death in connection with the SPIRITUALCONDITION of the whole Church. From that moment on,the GREAT TRIBULATION which is actually THEMARTYRDOM OF THE SAINTS started to emergeand took its toll. Well some may contest: Surely we are notyet in the midst of the Great Tribulation because we havebeen taught that it has no precedence and nothing to becompared from:

the members; who caused great suffering because of thebelief with the 9 books; who annoyed with persistent orurgent approaches making the members to suffer extremepain, distress, or anxiety; who destroyed and ruined God’speople using God’s government? Is there ANY precedencefor the NO CONTACT POLICY? There’s NONE like it!The other COG splinter groups around the world havehated the PCG so badly because of their abuse of God’sgovernment – “and ye shall be hated of all nations for myname’s sake.” (The word “name” implies “authority orgovernment”). Has this not happened in our time? AnyCOG group out there would advise each other that theycan go to any of the splinter groups but NEVER to thePCG. The Conspiracy of PCG's Ministers

As Mr. Armstrong wrote that “(t)he Great Tribulation is

really caused by Satan’s wrath, but the Day of the Lord willcome upon us as a result of God’s wrath on Satan and thepeople that are following his way.” Sermon Transcript— Revelation 12, April 18, 1981

What do you think could have caused “God’s wrath onSatan and the people that are following his way”? Surelythis thought does NOT refer to the people of this world –they have always followed Satan. This does NOT also referto the other Church of God groups because they DON’Thave God’s government to begin with, nor do they havethe Spirit of prophecy. ONLY the Philadelphia Church ofGod could perfectly fit the description of a people NOWfollowing Satan’s way because of a CONSPIRACY amongits 25 leading ministers.

“And the word of the Lord came unto me,saying, Son of man, say unto her, Thou artthe land that is not cleansed, nor rainedupon in the day of indignation. There is aconspiracy of her prophets in themidst thereof, like a roaring lion raveningthe prey; they have devoured souls; theyhave taken the treasure and precious things;they have made her many widows in themidst thereof.” (Ezekiel 22:23-25)

They have esteemed God through His last endservant as a clay in their hands. They did not knowthat He intended Mr. Gerald Flurry to become blind sothat He may be able to test His own people.

“Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, asmy messenger that I sent? who is blind as hethat is perfect, and blind as the Lord‘sservant?” (Isaiah 42:19)

There was even a precursor of this same condition when“one of the children of Israel came and brought unto hisbrethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, andin the sight of all the congregation of the children ofIsrael” (Numbers 25:6). It was done in the SIGHT ofMoses and all the people of ancient Israel even if he justgave a prior instruction to the judges of Israel to “Slay yeevery one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor” (v. 5)!God allowed Moses to be BLINDED in his judgment atthat time to test the top leading men of Israel then, butapparently, their heart is not right with Him. The samesituation is true today in God’s Philadelphia Church ofGod; Mr. Gerald Flurry may be alive and ever present foreveryone to see, yet God allowed him to become BLIND totest the ministers and members alike of what they shall doin case there would be intermingling among God’s holythings and PAGANISM as what has been happeningpresently in our midst.

“Her priests have violated my law, and haveprofaned mine holy things: they have putno difference between the holy andprofane, neither have they sheweddifference between the unclean andthe clean, and have hid their eyes from mysabbaths, and I am profaned among them.”(Ezekiel 22:26)

CLEAN and the UNCLEAN, they did not even know thatthey have already violated God’s law – “Thou shalt haveno other gods before me,” yet unfortunately, they havedescended into BAAL WORSHIP whether they realize it ornot! They have abused God’s government through the NOCONTACT POLICY that was implemented and theyhave turned into ravening wolves shedding innocent blood– thus fulfilling the prophesied MARTYRDOM OF THESAINTS.

“Her princes in the midst thereof are likewolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, andto destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. Andher prophets have daubed them withuntempered morter, seeing vanity, anddivining lies unto them, saying, Thus saiththe Lord God, when the Lord hath notspoken. The people of the land have usedoppression, and exercised robbery, and havevexed the poor and needy: yea, they haveoppressed the stranger wrongfully.” (vv. 27-29)

Members of the Philadelphia Church of God around theworld have basically the same stories to tell which detailstheir lamentable predicament in the hands of theirsupposed “shepherds.” Some have uttered in greatastonishment, “What’s going on”?

“And I sought for a man among them, thatshould make up the hedge, and stand in thegap before me for the land, that I should notdestroy it: but I found none. Thereforehave I poured out mine indignationupon them; I have consumed them with thefire of my wrath: their own way have Irecompensed upon their heads, saith theLord God.” (vv. 30-31)

This prophecy in the book of Ezekiel explains the reason

why God has to pour outHis indignation upon His ownpeople – because He sought for A MAN amongthem who would stand by Him and defend Hisname and reputation, yet He FOUND NONE (savethis little insignificant group who stood by Goddoing His strange work). This is the same context aswhat God told the prophet Daniel:

“And he said, Behold, I will make thee knowwhat shall be in the last end of theindignation: for at the time appointed theend shall be.” (Daniel 8:19)

Out of this same verse came the title of the book, “TheLast End – A Book of Remembrance” which explainswhat transpired during the last end of theindignation that will trigger God’s wrath, (the Day of theLord) because of what Satan had successfully done sofar to God’s own people in this last end – he wasable to make them compromise just like whathappened to the Pergamos Church. Let us considerwhat Mr. Gerald Flurry wrote about a prophecy in thebook of Zephaniah which focuses on the disaster that ishappening inside God’s own Church – Druidism beingintroduced in their midst which is actually, BAALWORSHIP.

Cut off theTemple PriestsAfter God talks about the Day of the Lord, He brings up

another subject. And even with all the horrifyingdestruction that is to occur, it is really this second subjectthat God is most concerned about. What is happeninginside God’s own Church is God’s number-one priority. Heputs these verses together to let us know what His priorityreally is. The Church disaster is spiritual. It has eternalconsequences. That is why it eclipses the world disaster.

God says that He will severely punish Hispriests. “I will also stretch out mine handupon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants ofJerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant ofBaal from this place, and the name of theChemarims with the priests” (Zephaniah1:4). The word Chemarims refers to idolpriests.

And the phrase “with the priests” refers tothe temple priests, or God’s priests. In otherwords, a seriously wrong relationshiphas developed between God’s priestsand the priests of Baal. The Soncino,Jamieson Fausset and Brown, and Lange’scommentaries all agree on this point. Noticehow Lange further explains this verse: “…[w]e certainly infer from the circumstance

that the worship of Baal has beenintroduced into the temple” (volume 7).

We must remember that Zephaniah is anend-time book. The word “temple” inprophecy always refers to God’s Churchtoday. So the temple priests in type mustrepresent God’s own ministry in this endtime. God’s ministers have beenintroducing Baal worship into God’sChurch. Have any doctrines of Baalbeen introduced into God’s Church inour time? Yes! Which ministers have beendoing this? The Laodicean ministers! (pp. 2-3, Zephaniah’s Day of the Lord – It HastensGreatly, 2008 edition)

Do we wonder why it has always been said that the TWOWITNESSES will continue the Elijah Work? Because justlike the original Elijah and the end-time Elijah Mr.Herbert W. Armstrong, these TWO WITNESSES are alsodealing with Baal’s priests and their pagan practices (1Kings 18:19-40). Now, whether the ministers andmembers inside the PCG would accept this specificfulfillment of prophecy or not, it does not matter. Thetruth of the matter is this, they have to open their eyes andPROVE if Irish dancing, Mother’s Day andcremation is PAGAN or not. For emphasis let’s readagain Zephaniah’s prophecy concerning the spiritualJews in this last end:

“The word of the Lord which came unto Zephaniah theson of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, theson of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, kingof Judah. I will utterly consume all things from off theland, saith the Lord. I will consume man and beast; I willconsume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea,and the stumbling blocks with the wicked: and I will cutoff man from off the land, saith the Lord. the world), and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem(PCG headquarters in Edmond, Oklahoma); and I will cutoff the remnant of Baal (Irish dancing) from this place,and the name of the Chemarims (IDOL PRIESTS) withthe priests; And them that worship the host of heaven(Astarte: the queen of heaven – Mother’s Day)upon the housetops; and them that worship and thatswear by the Lord, and that swear by Malcham (Molech– cremation); And them that are turned back fromthe Lord (the 25 men who led the PCG to Edstone);and those that have not sought the Lord, nor enquired forhim (treasures in darkness).” (Zephaniah 1:1-6)

Let us look briefly at the news of a Philadelphia trainbeing DERAILED – “ALL OF A SUDDEN … OFF THERAILS.” We could also compare this incident to what ishappening spiritually inside the Philadelphia Church ofGod with all the paganism being continually observed,they have actually gone off the rails – they are already OFFTHE TRACK with the Edstone work. So what will happennext? They will eventually end up CRASHINGwith WOUNDS IN THEIR HEAD, ALL OF THEM!

Rescue workers searched through the debrison Wednesday for more victims of anAmtrak passenger train wreck inPhiladelphia that killed six people andinjured scores others as investigators soughtto determine the cause of the derailment.

Authorities said they did not know whatcaused the New York City-bound traincarrying 243 people to derail at about 9:30p.m. EDT Tuesday (0130 GMT Wednesday).

CNN quoted the Federal Bureau ofInvestigation as saying there was noindication that terrorism was a factor in thederailment. Three law enforcement officialscontacted by Reuters also said they had notencountered anything suspicious.

“We do not know what happened here. Wedo not know why this happened,” Nuttertold reporters. He later told CNN there wasno indication there had been a collision withanother train.

The National Transportation Safety Board(NTSB) said a “go-team” that wouldinvestigate the crash was expected to arriveon Wednesday morning.

As the PCG has gone OFF THE TRACK with the Edstonework instead of staying on God’s lane going forward withthe Jerusalem work (Jeremiah 7:24), the 25 men wholed God’s Church to turn their back from theLord is the strongest warning to us today that the Day ofthe Lord HASTENS GREATLY!

TURNED BACK FROM THE LORD

God will cut off all His priests who areinvolved in false religion. “And them thatworship the host of heaven upon thehousetops; and them that worship and that

swear by the Lord, and that swear byMalcham; And them that are turned backfrom the Lord; and those that have notsought the Lord, nor inquired for him”(Zephaniah 1:5-6). The RSV translates verse5, “those who bow down on the roofs to thehost of the heavens; those who bow downand swear to the Lord and yet swear byMilcom” (verse 5). God is very angry withHis ministers because they pretend thattheir religion—doctrinal changes and newteachings—are of God, when those doctrinesare really RANK PAGANISM!

Verse 6 is the most important verse of thissegment. Why? Because it describes veryclearly what is happening within theLaodicean Church today. The RSV translatesthis verse, “those who have turned backfrom following the Lord, who do not seekthe Lord or inquire of him.” God’s peopleare turning back from Him. Remember thatwe need to have an end-time focus here. Youcannot turn away from God unless you onceknew Him. God’s people are willfullyturning away from Him and His covenant. Itis a great apostasy. This apostasy is alsospoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2 andRevelation 3 and 12.

God’s Church is turning away fromHim. This is the sign— the strongestwarning sign to God’s Church— thatthe Day of the Lord is very near. It is agigantic sign that every membershould clearly see. But most refuse tounderstand. (pp. 3-4, Zephaniah’s Day ofthe Lord – It Hastens Greatly, 2008 edition)

God is sending out His message towarn them and He is making sure that it gets through.Take a careful note of this undeniable facts: Oklahomabecame the NEW EARTHQUAKE CAPITAL OFTHE US which previously was California’s seat.With the tornado outbreak that struck Oklahomathis first week of May 2015, it seems that it isreaffirming its title as THE TORNADO CAPITAL OFTHE WORLD.

“And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount beforethe Lord. The STILL SMALL VOICE is referring to a last endCyrus work “which ye will not believe, though it be toldyou” (Habakkuk 1:5). Are you willing to listen? God isalready performing the STRANGEST ACT He could doto AWAKEN those who are sleeping inside His owntemple today, to PROVOKE them to great jealousy and toJUDGE the spiritual Edomites among them. (Isaiah 28:21;Romans 10:19; Obadiah 1:21).
