First Two Well-Known PassagesFrom the Gospels Of Matthew & Mark
Matt 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Mark 16:19-20 “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
What’s the Life Setting of these verses of the Great Commission?
Imagine the geo-political context in which our Lord Jesus spoke these words to his beloved disciples.
I am going to suggest to you to look at the context in a new way in order to understand these passages for today’s current situation.
Second Well-known Passage
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy
Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Not-So-Well-known Passages of the Great Commission
John 13:35 “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
John 17:20-23 “… I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
… that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
