Charles Ellis Presents:God With No Hands
Curtain Opens (Spotlight on narrator)
Narrator- Good morning/evening. Welcome to Charles Ellis Presents: God With No
Hands. We are glad you are here to help us celebrate the history of the fascinating
universe we call home. Before we begin, we would like to remind you of some theater
grace and courtesy. Please turn off all cell phones. During the show, please refrain from
taking any flash photography. There will be no intermission during today’s performance,
so please stay seated at all times.
The great lessons are a collection of five stories that make up an important part of
the Montessori philosophy of education. The stories are meant to raise curiosity and spur
questions concerning the world around us. The lessons chronicle the formation of the
universe, the coming of life, the coming of humans, and the development of language and
numbers. Initially introduced in lower elementary, the students use these lessons as a
spring-board to guide their educational choices in the classroom.
Tonight/today we are pleased to present to you the amazing story of the formation
of the universe and the beautiful planet we call home. The students in the 4th, 5th, and
6th grade at Charles Ellis Montessori Academy have worked tirelessly over the past two
months to write the script, create song lyrics, make costumes, and construct props to
present this story to you. So, without further ado, let’s begin God With No Hands! I
think it’s best to let Maria and her son, Mario, Montessori take it from here.
(Narrator exits, Maria and Mario Enter)
Maria: Buon giorno, Mario!
Mario: Buon giorno, mom! One of my favorite stories you told was about the beginning
of the universe. I can remember how my mind would wonder and I would see amazing
pictures in my imagination about what it must have been like as our universe was being
born. Still, I often daydream about the story you told.
Maria: Ah, yes! The story of the beginning of the universe; God With No Hands is what
I called it, and I used it to help children begin to think about the history of our planet and
everything else in the universe.
Mario: Mother, would you please retell the story? Just for “old times sake”!?!
Maria: The universe came from a vast and dark nothingness. A darkness was a cold
unlike any freezing temperature we could feel today. Because God wished it to be, out of
this cold, dark nothingness came a light!
Scene 1: Let There Be Light (Carol)
Frozen person 1: Cold
Frozen person 1& 2: Dark
Frozen person 1, 2, & 3:Empty
(Frozen people moan and bird flies in)
Bird: Tweet, tweet, tweet
(Bird falls and freezes)
Frozen person 6: Ouch! You stepped on my foot!
Frozen person 7: Don't insult me. (Pulls out his stick, other guy pulls out light saber, then
both run off stage.)
God: Let there be light! (Echo)
(Music from 2001 A Space Odyssey)
(Yellow light flickers, when there's one big shine there's a BOOM!)
Sun: I am the light of all light, and I bring you light.
(Frozen people hold hands in front of face)
(Frozen person 1 faints.)
Frozen person 4: Magnificent!
Frozen person 5: "Here comes the sun: (starts song, bird stands up and sings with frozen
person 5)
Music- "Here Comes the Sun"
(All come together and sing)
Songs: Here Comes the Sun
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it's alright
Little darling, It's been a long cold Universe
Little darling, It feels like it's never been so warm
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it's alright
Little darling, the smiles have never been so big
Little darling, it's never been so warm before
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it's alright
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes (5x)
Little darling, I feel the ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seem like it's never been so clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say it's alright
It's alright.

The Universe
When the universe was all dark and cold
And everything existed as gasses
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of the universe
Age of the universe
Rock, Gold, Iron, and Water
We all existed as gasses
Floating through all spaces
Big bright golden stars of wonder
Heat and light are now existing
Now we are very gassy
The universe
The universe
The universe
This is the dawning of the age of the universe
Age of the universe

When the universe was all dark and cold
And everything existed as gasses

End scene.
Mario: So this bright, single source of energy was the beginning of everything in our
universe?
Maria: Yes, Mario! This ball of energy contained every particle needed to make all the
planets, comets, and stars we see today.
Mario: Well, how did everything in our universe come from this one mass?
Maria: Ah, that is a great question.
Maria and Mario Exit.
Scene 2: A Star is Born (Melanie)
Begin YouTube Video: this will loop through all scenes,TURN UP SOUND: so music
can be heard!
Vignette 1
(Use strobe light in center of stage. Make sure it is plugged up for use. Just as Narrator
begins to read, turn on strobe light. Dancers will stand as close to strobe light as possible
with arms in air holding flashlights.)
The fiery mass was no bigger than a drop of water in that ocean of space. As this cloud of
light and heat moved through the empty space, (Dancers move outward toward the edge
of stage in opposite directions lowering arms and flashlights) little drops fell from it.
(Lights People Perform dance and move off stage)
Vignette 2
(stars move on to stage and into position and begin twirling ever so slowly reaching
towards one another)
The countless hosts of stars are like little drops. Only instead of falling, they are moving
around in space in such a way that they never meet (the stars do a short dance) But they
never meet because they are millions of miles apart. (A sign comes across the stage….
and moves off the stage; Stars leave slowly)
Vignette 3
(New stars come on stage, a few props will be pushed out by backstage help) Indeed they
are so far way, that it takes the light of some of them millions of year to reach us. (Beams
of flashlights are shone in different directions; short dance with lights is done) Do you
know how fast light travels? 100 miles per hour? (A sign is held up with 100 on it) 200?
(a sign with 200 is held up) 1000? (A sign with 1000 is held up) (The stars respond: “No,
much faster”.) It travels 186, 000 miles, not per hour, but per second! (Here the LED
light will travel around the Earth; Dance in background) Imagine how fast that is. It
means that in one second, light can travel seven times around the whole world!
Vignette 4
And do you know how big around Earth is? 25,000 miles! If you and I were to drive at
100 miles per hour, continuously, all day and all night long, (a sun and moon will come
across) it would take us more than 10 days to cover that distance. (The car drives around)
And yet light covers it in one second. (Light goes in darkness across stage in one
second)You do “snap” with your fingers, and it has traveled around the Earth seven
times.
Vignette 5
(The stars and the sun come out quickly and get into position. The man walks out on
stage and points to the starts) So you can imagine how far some of these stars are from
us, if it takes their light a million years to reach us (the man points the sun) One of those
stars, is our Sun and one millionth part of this grain (the man then holds up a grain and
shows it to the audience like a magician would, when all of a sudden the earth comes
rolling out across the stage) is our Earth– an almost invisible speck of nothingness! (The
Earth character comes out and says, I’m an invisible speck of nothingness, in a very sad
voice and looks down to the ground!
Song: THE BEATLES The Universe
Stars are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass they slip away across the universe.
Stars and fire, waves of light are drifting through the opened night.
The stars are reaching out for us.
Jai guru deva, om
Nothing’s gonna change our world.
Nothing’s gonna change our world.
Nothings gonna change our world.
Nothings gonna change our world.
Pieces of the broken light which dance before me like a million eyes.
The sun is shining bright across the universe.
Light travels quickly like a shooting star in the dark night
The sun’s light is quickly reaching for us
Across the universe
Jai guru deva, om
Nothing’s gonna change our world.
Nothing’s gonna change our world.
Nothing’s gonna change our world.
Nothing’s gonna change our world.
Suns of brightness shades of light are rushing Past my opened eyes
They brightly twinkle and glitter
Limitless undying light
Which shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on across the universe
Jai guru deva, om
Nothing’s gonna change our world,
Nothing’s gonna change our world,
Nothing’s gonna change our world,
Nothing’s gonna change our world
Jai guru deva, om
Jai guru deva, om
Jai guru deva, om
Jai guru deva, om
End Scene. Maria and Mario Enter.
Mario: Mother, this is my favorite part of your story! Our amazing Earth is beginning to
take shape!
Maria: You’re right, Mario. In its infancy, our earth looked a great deal differently than
it does today. Our young Earth didn’t have trees or insects, flowers or birds. Back then,
the planet was nothing more than cold and frozen particles. As these particles began to
be heated by the warmth of the sun, they began to change their properties…they became
solids, liquids, and gases.
Mario: The states of matter!
Maria and Mario Exit.
Scene 3: States of Matter (Leigh and Rose)
The stage is quiet and dark-
The lights turn on and it is Ice Cube- in the middle of the stage
Ice Cube – Is it just me or is it cold in here?
All – Ice Ice baby song
The puddles and vapor are backing him up.
Ice Cube – Oh, hello I’m the king of Ice! I’m on my way to get a massage because it’s so
cold my molecules are squeezing together! That is what happens when matter gets cold.
The molecules come together.
Dog Guy – Who let the dogs out who! Who! . . Hey where are the dogs? Oh
Sorry, wrong play and wrong stage! (Runs off signaling the Fire comes on)
Fire One – Say it’s too cold in here. Why is it so cold? It is so eerie and dark.
Fire Two – It’s cold because we are in a void of nothingness. Outer Space .We’ll Heat it
up for you!
Fire One –Yeah! Heat it up!! Heat it up!
Fire Four – Let’s melt the ice!
Fire Five – That’s my favorite hobby!
Fire Three – Nice and toasty!
Fire Four – Ohh! I like French toast!
Fire Five – Not that kind of toast silly!
Ice Cube – I’m melting! The energy from the fire is changing my state! What am I going
to do? What am I turning into?
(Fire and Ice Cube leaves the stage and Puddles come on. The puddles roll around in a
fluid motion.)
Puddle One – I’m soaked! I must have forgotten my umbrella and the ground is so un-
comfortable!
Puddle Three – Did I used to be an Ice Cube?
Puddle Two – We used to be The Royal Ice Cubes. We were so put together. Our
molecules were tight!!! And I mean tight!
Then we got melted by the fire! And when the heat is added we get floppy and can’t hold
our own shape.
Puddle One – I hate the fire! Being an ice cube was better. At least I always knew what
shape I had.
Puddle Two – Me too! I don’t like my molecules slipping around. I want them to stay
together!
Puddle Three – Me three!
(Fire starts to circle the Puddles, Smoke comes on and starts to circle them)
Fire One – I actually like those guys!
Puddle Three – We don’t care what you think! Something is changing. Something is not
the same!
Smoke One – (Evil Laugh) We will help you change- whether you want to or not
Smoke Two – We are stinky! We are smelly! We are stinky! We are Smelly.
Smoke Three – I agree! Where there is smoke there is fire.
Fire Three – We did not do a good enough job on melting you when you where Ice Cubes
now we’re going to melt you so much your atoms will push each other away! You will
be so hot you will not want to touch each other.
Puddle Two – Oh my golly! There (cough) going to (cough) change us!! What happens
when we get hot?
Puddle 1, 2, and 3 – Ahhhhh (cough) Ahhhh!!
Smoke Five – You guys be quiet!
Smoke Four – I love Twinkies! (Pulls out fake Twinkie)
Smoke Two – Don’t eat that it’s full of calories! (Grab Twinkie and throw on floor)
Smoke Four – No, it is low-fat!
Smoke Two – It doesn’t matter anymore!
Smoke One – We are smoke!
All Smoke – Smoke, Smoke, Smoke!
Puddles 1, 2, and 3 – Somebody call 911, somebody call 911! Something is happening!
(Puddles are rolling around on the floor)
Fire Fighter One – Did some body call 911?
Puddle 2 – The fire is trying to change us! I think I am getting bigger. No! I am just
spreading apart.
Fire Fighter Four – The Smoke is getting in my face!
Fire Fighter Two – Oh No, we forgot our hoses we will have to push the puddles toward
the fire!
(Fire Fighter push puddles toward fire and they all leave)
Fire Fighter One – Yay! It’s gone! Where did it go?
Fire Fighter Three – Silly- When molecules get hot they move away from each other.
Let’s go home now and eat some Twinkies!
Fire Fighter One – Yeah
(Vapor comes on and the fire fighters leave)
Vapor One – We are Vapor. Our atoms are far apart. We do not have any shape and we
float all over the place.
Vapor Two – Hey! I got an idea! Now that we are spread out let’s do something fun.
Vapor Three – What do you want to do??
Vapor Two – Let’s HMMMMM I forgot! What are we doing?
Vapor Four – How about we play hide and go seek! As far apart as we are no one will
ever be able to find us.
Vapor two, one, and four – not it!
Vapor Three – Aww Man! I always have to be it.(Covers eyes and everybody runs off
stage except for Vapor Three) One,
Two, Three, Four, Five, Six . . . Hey guys what
Comes after six? (Opens eyes) Hey where did every-body go? Wait for me!
(Run Off)
All – Defying Gravity song
Dog Guy – Who let the dogs out! Who who . . .
Wait a minute I’m still not on the right stage! (Dog
Guy leaves stage.)
End Scene. Maria and Mario Enter.
Mario: Now I understand! Changes in temperatures cause the particles to behave
differently!
Maria: That’s correct. God made rules for all the particles to follow. The particles
followed these rules then as they do today, and will continue to do so forever into the
future.
Mario: But why?
Maria: God made rules for every element to follow, and the elements follow these rules
without question. As you get hot, you become lighter and rise. As you cool, you become
heavier and fall. The elements move as if they are angles dancing.
Maria and Mario Exit.
Scene 4: A Dance of the Elements (Laura)(King Charles and Queen Tanya are seated on their thrones. Three angels approach
them.)
Angel Gas: King Charles! Queen Tanya! We have arrived and have brought what you
have asked of us.
Angel Liquid: We have gathered together representatives from our three realms.
Angel Solid: What would you have us do for you?
King Charles: It is our wish that a new world be created – one in which all of you work
together to create a perfect environment.
Queen Tanya: Using our special strength – controlling temperature – we will be able to
change you into the elements that we need to accomplish our goal.
Angel Gas: What? You want us to give up what is unique about ourselves to serve you?
Angel Liquid: I’m not sure I am willing to do that! I already bend and flow wherever I
am needed. I don’t want to change any more than that!
Angel Gas: Yeah!
Angel Solid: Stop being such a hot head! Your highness, would you please explain your
idea?
Queen Tanya: Yes – happily. When we all work together, we will be able to retain those
special traits that make us US. But, if we are willing to change – at least for a little while,
we can all benefit.
King Charles: Let me explain. Our new world needs a solid foundation. And if we cool
some of our gases and liquids, they can join with the solids to help provide that solid
footing we will need.
Queen Tanya: And we need lots of air to breathe in our new kingdom. We will need
some of you to explore what heat can do to you so that more gases will be available.
(Some of the followers of Angel Solid begin to act scared. One steps forward)
Angel Gold: Please, Angel Solid, don’t make us do that. I’m scared of the heat. It will
melt us.
(One of Angel Gas’s followers steps forward)
Angel Helium: (Taking a breath of helium from a balloon) Oh, Angel Gold, its fun to
change. You should just give it a try.
Angel Liquid: As water, I have to change all the time.
(Angel Water, a follower of Angel Liquid steps forward.)
Angel Water: You know, at first, it made me nervous. But I found out that it was fun to
go back and forth trying out new states of matter.
Queen Tanya: Exactly, that’s what we believe will make our new universe so
wonderfully unique.
Song – “Let’s Fly”
Here we go, come with me,There's a place out there that we should see,Take my wings, burn your fireWith you right here, I'm a solid, dear
Let's fly, fly, fly, flyyy.Up, up, here we go, go. [2x]Let's fly, fly, fly, flyyy.Up, up, here we go, go.Where we cool off we feel like snow,
Where we go we don't need roads,Where we stop we feel like snow,To black space if you really want it,Got, got a set of wings with your name on it,Above the fire in the galaxy hereJust say the words and we outta here,Hold my hand if your feelin' scared,We flyin' up, up outta here.
[Chorus]Here we go, come with me,There's a world out there that we should see,Take my wings, burn your fire,With you right here, I'm a solid, dear
Let's fly, fly, fly, flyy.Up, up here we go, go. [2x]Let's fly, fly, fly, flyy.Up, up here we go, go. Where we stop nobody knows,
Baby we can fly like a shooting star,If we can work together, we’re gonna go farI'm never looking downchange is always on my mind,Solids can go to the sky, flying high in air,Where we are, only few have knownGo on the next state of matter, you know
I hope this works out, Queen Tanya,
[Chorus]Here we go, come with me,There's a world out there that we should see,Take my wings, burn your fire,With you right here, I'm a solid, dear
Let's fly,I never been in space before,But I never seen an idea like yours,You make me feel like I could touch the stars,You want to change, solid watch me do it,See I never seen the stars this close,You got me stuck off the way you glow,I'm like, oh, oh, oh, ohI'm like, oh, oh, oh, oh,
[Chorus]Here we go, Come with me,There's a place out there that we should see,Take my hand, close your eyes,With you right here, I'm a solid dear,
Let's fly, fly, fly, flyy.Up, up here we go, go. [2x]Let's fly, fly, fly, flyy.Up, up here we go, go. [2x]Where we stop nobody knows, knows, knows.
(During the song, the solids pick up bowls and go over to the liquids, which climb up the
ladder and give the bowls to the gases, which then pass the bowls back to the liquids who
then take the bowls back to the solids. This goes on during the song and dance).
(While this is going on, a few of the angels look on disgust. They watch for awhile and
then hide)
King Charles: You have pleased me more than you know. And do not worry, I promise
that whenever it is necessary, you will be able to change back into your original state . . .
Queen Tanya: All we will need to do is provide the necessary heat or cold and you can
magically change.
(Angels Solid, Liquid and Gas bow before the king and queen.)
Angel Solid: I see what you mean about a little space. I feel better already!
Angel Liquid: I’ve always liked going with the flow – going into space was really cool!
Angel Gas: And for once I was able to get to the bottom of things I didn’t understand.
Angels Water, Helium, and Gold (lead the cheer): All hail King Charles and Queen
Tanya.
Solids: Solids, we’re solid! We sink down to the bottom!
Liquids: Liquids, we’re liquids! We go with the flow!
Gases: Gases, we’re gases! We rise to the top!
All: Solids, liquids, gases – we rock!
(At this point, all freeze on stage. The angels that had hidden return to center stage.)
Angel 1: (sarcastically) Well, look at them, one big happy family.
Angel 2: It won’t last – someone will get upset and start up something.
Angel 3: I can’t wait to see what happens now . . .
(All three laugh an evil laugh – hehehehehe!)
End of scene. Maria and Mario Enter
Mario: Oh, no…I don’t like the sound of this! Are the elements going to start fighting?
Maria: Yes, in a sense. Remember that all elements must follow God’s instructions.
The Earth was becoming gradually hotter and hotter. This caused some tension between
the elements that would soon erupt into a war, the likes of which have never been seen
again on our planet.
Maria and Mario exit.
Scene 5: Warfare on Earth (Kami)
(lights up stage left on teacher and students)
Teacher: Billy, Zoey, welcome to detention.
Zoey: What are we going to do in detention today?
Billy: Probably something boring!
Teacher: Actually, no Billy. We are going to be talking about the warfare on earth
during the creation of the universe.
Zoey: Warfare on earth? Were there even people there?
Billy: You mean like the Civil War?
Teacher: No, not like the Civil war. This is the war between hot and cold as the earth
was forming.
Zoey: That sounds cool. Let’s get started!
Teacher: We are going to start at the part where a thin skin was forming over a hot ball
of burning liquids and gases.
Billy: I don’t’ understand why a skin formed over the elements.
Teacher: It’s kind of like when a skin forms on cheese dip if you let it sit for a while.
Billy: Oh!
Teacher: If something’s hot, it expands. So, the elements that were trapped under the
skin were very hot, which made them expand. For example, think about filling a balloon
with water. As is fills up, the balloon expands and gets bigger and bigger. At some point,
that balloon expands too much and…
Zoey: BOOM!! It explodes
(left lights lights go black and light center stage for vocano explosion)
(after explosion, center stage lights go black and light left stage)
TEACHER: Correct! When the hot elements kept expanding, the skin on the earth
finally got as big as it could and cracks formed and the elements, or lava, burst out!
Billy: Like a volcano?
Teacher: Exactly! This is where the war really began.
(lights black stage left and light center stage…start “Beat It” now)
(at end of “Beat It”, center lights off and light stage left)
Zoey: so what happened?
Teacher: The lava was flowing out of the cracks in the earth. As the lava hit the water on
the surface of the skin, the water turned into vapor.
Zoey: Oh, that’s evaporation! I know all about how water in a liquid form turns to a gas
when it is heated.
Billy:cool!!!!!!!
Teacher: As the lava erupted from the earth, ashes shot out into the air like black
confetti.
Billy: That sounds fun, but I’ve never seen black confetti before.
Teacher: I don’t know about fun, it sound more like destruction to me.
Zoey: What happened next?
Teacher: A veil of clouds covered the earth.
Billy: Like fog?
Teacher: Kind of. The clouds covered the earth so no one could see what was going on.
The sun was ashamed of the warfare on earth.
Zoey: Was the sun crying?
Teacher: Yes Zoey, yes.
(Lights off left stage and light center stage…start “Thriller” now)
(Lights go black at end of “Thriller” after our pose)
End scene. Maria and Mario enter.
Maria: The poor sun was ashamed of her daughter Earth. The veil of clouds that covered
the Earth blocked her from seeing the fighting below.
Mario: But, this can’t be the end of the story! How did we get from this dark, hot, and
violent place to the peaceful planet we call home today?
Maria: Well, Mario, eventually, the Earth began to cool. The veil of clouds was lifted,
and the sun could once again look happily upon its daughter, Earth.
Maria and Mario exit.
Scene 6: The Veil is Lifted (Trent)Setting: A dark hot Earth.
Lava 1: I’m so excited to catch some gnarly lava waves! Being a lava dude is awesome.
Lava 2: Those volcanoes have been erupting and making some nice waves of lava and
keeping the weather nice and hot.
Lava 1: This is totally rad, dude!
Lava 2: It seems like it’s been this hot forever. I hope it stays this way for a long time. I
really enjoy this weather.
Lava 3 walks in
Lava 3: Well, you better enjoy it while it lasts because I just heard on Ash Action News
channel 96 that a change is coming. Now that the volcanoes have stopped erupting, Earth
is going to start to cool.
Lava 1: You know, now that you say it, it does feel a little cooler.
Bossy solids walk in
Lava 2: Who in the world are you?
Solid 1: (mockingly) who in the world are you?
Solid 2: We are new in town! Now that the weather is cooling down, we came to take
over this joint. We are SOLIDS, bub bad um bum bum bum bum!
Lava 1: I don’t think so! We were here first!
Solid 3: We are solids and we will crush you!
Lava 2: Bring it on! We will melt you!
Hippy Liquids enter
Liquids: (Chanting) Liquids for peace! Say no to fighting!
Solid 2: Get out of here you peace-loving liquids! Beat it!
Liquid 1: Brothers and sisters, please stay calm. There is no need to fight.
Liquid 2: It’s all about love and peace. We are on this world together and we must learn
to get along.
Liquid 3: God says that we must obey his laws and follow his will. He gave us all rules
to follow and task to fulfill.
Gases Enter (Dressed as Clowns) doing tricks
Solid 1- Who are these clowns?!
Gas 1- We are gases. We are the joksters of the world, always bouncing around and
never staying still.
Gas 2- Solids, you all are so stiff. You never have any fun!
Gas 3- Here’s a joke: What do you get when you cross some lava and a solid? Give up?
An argument!
Solid 3- Are you trying to start something with us?
Lava 2- (sarcastically) ha ha ha, very funny gases!
All characters start arguing loudly.
Liquid 3- STOP! Look, the veil of clouds is being lifted!
Piece of fabric is carried over the audience. Lights shine. Sun enters.
Liquid 2- Look, it’s our old friend the sun!
Gas 1- We haven’t seen you in such a long time! It’s great to see you again!
Sun- It’s so nice to see the Earth again. I’ve been ashamed of all the fighting going on as
the volcanoes were erupting. But now I’ve come back to find the elements squabbling.
We must follow god’s law and obey the rules that were put in place so long ago.
Liquid 1- You’re right, beautiful sun! We are liquids, we shall flow!
Gases 1- We are gases we shall float in the atmosphere!
Solid 1- We are solids, we will keep our shape.
Sun- Yes, beautiful, perfect elements: be proud of who you are and how you were made.
Follow the rules of your properties and our world will become something amazing! I can
once again smile upon my beautiful daughter Earth.
All sing “I Can See Clearly Now”
I can see clearly now, the clouds are gone.
I can see the sun smile on the earth.
All of the dark clouds are behind me now.
Its gonna be a bright, bright, sunshiny day.
I think I can cool it now, the war is done.
All of the fighting has settled down.
This is the day I’ve been waiting for.
Its gonna be a bright, bright, sunshiny day.
Look all around, there’s lots of mountains and seas.
Look straight ahead, nothing but blue skies.
I can see clearly now, the elements.
I can see all of them on the earth.
Solids, liquids, gases on the land.
Its gonna be a bright, bright, sunshiny day.
End Scene. Maria and Mario enter.
Mario: I love a happy ending!
Maria: Yes, this is indeed a very happy ending, because it created the perfect setting for
arrival of life on Earth!
Mario: I see now: without the perfect combination of states of matter, elements, and
compounds, all of the amazing plants and animals we see today wouldn’t be able to
survive. God’s laws must be followed for Earth to thrive.
Maria: Rocks, water, air: solids, liquids, gasses. Today, as it was yesterday and millions
of years ago, God's laws are obeyed in the same way. The world spins round itself and
round and round the sun. And today, as it was millions of years ago, the earth and all the
elements and compounds it is made of, as they fulfill their tasks, whisper with one voice:
Maria and Mario: Lord, Thy will be done; we obey.”
Mario and Maria Exit. Narrator Enters. All students come back on stage to sing final
song.
Chorus comes on to sing I Shall Sing.
Narrator- As you can see, the early history of the universe and planet Earth is an amazing
story. We hope you enjoyed hearing this Great Lesson as much as we enjoyed presenting
it to you. On behalf of the students and faculty at Charles Ellis Montessori Academy,
thank you for being a wonderful audience. Please join us in our final song “What a
Wonderful World”.
(Entire cast comes to the stage to sing the first verse of “What a Wonderful World”.)
