Exercise 1: Five-Year Fantasy
What would your life look like in 5 years if it was perfect in everyrespect?
Imagine for a moment that you have no limitations at all. You imagine that allthings are possible for you.
Listen to the audios on the website and answer the various sets of questions. Before you write down your answers, day dream about your ideal future first.Making mental movies will involve their right brain, so your subconscious mindcan contribute ideas (and details) that you would not otherwise get.
Then write your answers below.

Exercise 2: Brainstorm your dreams
This second exercise may seem really similar to the first one. It is.But since Ill be asking the questions in a different way, youll findyourself coming up with different answers. You wont write exactly the samething for both exercises. And this will serve you.
What do I want to do?
What do I want to be?
What do I want to see?
What do I want to have?
Where do I want to go?

Exercise 3: Add timeframes &Prioritize
Listen to the first audio, Anthony Robbins Assign Timelines and then go back
to your answers in the previous two exercises and write when you would expectto achieve them.
Are most of your goals:
Short term Long term Or is there a balance?
Listen to the second audio, Jim Rohn Add Timeframes and Prioritize.
(The beginning of this one overlaps with the Anthony Robbins audio.)
Jim Rohn and Tony suggest different timeframes (6 months to 20 years vs. 1year to 10 years) but you are free to assign whatever timeframes you want. These are your goals.
Jim Rohn suggests picking 16 goals (4 goals in each of 4 timeframes). I thinkthats a bit excessive. If you only spent 5 minutes on each one, this exercisealone would take over an hour. So I give you permission to pick only 5 goals forthis exercise. I want you to be able to devote more than 5 minutes to each one.
Print out a copy of the next page for each goal and write your detaileddescriptions.
These written descriptions will become one of your most importantpersonal possessions. Jim Rohn

Exercise 4: Define the reasons why, check congruency
Listen to both audios on the website and watch my video. Then, print
out as many copies of the next page as you need and figure out thereasons why you will be motivated to work on your goals for as long as ittakes and the reasons why your life goals are an expression of whatyou really want.
Authenticity to your true values requires deep self knowledge. You may not beable to write definitive answers for this exercise today. You may need to comeback to it from time to time. For now, write something to stimulate your thinking.
The next exercise will help you gain clarity by viewing this from a differentperspective.

Exercise 5: Purpose, Passion, Mission
Listen to the three audios on the website, then answer the followingquestions (and the ones on the website).
What do you love to do? What are your particular gifts and talents? What reallytouches you deeply (i.e. an injustice)? What do you think needs to be changedabout the world, that you feel called to tackle (or contribute to)? What do youwant to create and share with the world? Picture yourself on your death bed. What meaningful accomplishments would make you feel fulfilled and smile withpeace of mind?
(Now this is not a ten minute exercise for most people. I went through a period ofquestioning that took me 2.5 years before my purpose became clear to me.These questions will get you started thinking about it. Write down yourprovisional answers now.)

Exercise 6: Convert dreams into goals
What Jim Rohn called Long term goals in Exercise 2 above, StevenScott calls Dreams. In exercises 6 and 7 we are going to break thosedreams down in to goals, steps, and tasks, so that you end up with a detailedwritten plan for your goals. Then all you have to do is carry out your plans!
Again, to avoid confusion, in exercises 6 and 7:
Dreams means your big life goals, the targets that youve decided topursue
Goals means the sub-goals or major milestones youll reach on your wayto your big goals (your Dreams)
Steps and Tasks make up the detailed plan to achieve your goals anddreams.
Listen to both audios on the website, then
Create a Goals Page for each of your Dreams. Map out the milestones that willhave to happen for you to get to that dream. Print multiple copies of the nextpage, and do this in writing.
Or you can download the Dream Conversion Journal from the website and dothe same thing in Excel.

Exercise 7: Fine tune your daily tasks
You convert your Dreams into Goals. You convert your Goals into Steps. You convert your Steps into Tasks.
The Steps can be thought of as parts or phases of each Goal.
The Tasks are the specific things youll have to do to complete each Step. TheTasks are small enough to actually work on. Review your list of tasks when youdo your week planning (and/or day planning) and schedule them on yourcalendar.
Listen to further instructions at Exercise 7 on the website. You can alsodownload an Excel version of the Goals Sheet and the Steps and Tasks sheet. Ifyour comfortable using Excel it might work better for you than the paper version
because you can add as many rows as you like under each Step to lay out asmany tasks as you think necessary to accomplish each step.
Break down each of your Goals into the Steps and Tasks youll have to take tobring them about.
Print multiple copies of the next page, and do this in writing.

Print out this page and tape it to a wall somewhere where you will see it everyday. Then check of a box each time you review your goals.
