Specific A specific goal has a much greater chance of

being attained. Six question to ask yourself:

1. Who: Who is involved?2. What: What do I want to accomplish3. Where: Identify a location.4. When: Establish a time frame.5. Which: Identify requirements and constraints6. Why: Specific reasons, purpose, or benefits of

accomplishing the goal.Example: General Goal “Get in shape” Specific Goal “Join a health club and workout for 1 hour, 3 days a week”

MeasurableEstablish criteria for measuring progress

towards your goal.This helps you to stay on track.

Set target dates.

To determine if your goal is measurable, ask:How much?How Many?

This will help you know if you have achieved your goal.

AttainableTo attain your goal you must possess or attain attitudes, abilities, skills, (and yes financial means) to reach your goals.

You can attain most any goal when you plan your steps.

When you plan for your goals, goals seem to get closer and closer. (within reach)

Planning goals also helps you to see yourself worthy of that goal.

RealisticTo be realistic, a goal must be something you are both willing and able to achieve.

Set high and realistic goals.High goals are frequently easier to

If there is no time frame you have no sense of urgency.If you want to lose 10 lbs., when do you want to lose it by?
