Boyertown Museum of Historic VehiclesThe Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles will spend 2015 staging a year-long celebration of its 50th Anniversary. Founded in 1965 by Paul and Erminie Hafer, the Boyertown Museum preserves and educates about our state’s rich road transportation history. The Hafers had a dream to open a museum that displayed vehicles originating from Berks County, collecting every type of road vehicle, from horse-drawn sleighs and carriages to bicycles to trucks and cars. They opened their collection to the public on December 12, 1965, and soon expanded the geographic scope to include all of Southeastern Pennsylvania. The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is now Pennsylvania’s Transportation History Museum.
• Wheelchair accessible • Ample free parking
• Facilities for meetings, parties, and special events
• Always free admission and shop discounts to members, plus free admission to anyone arriving in a 1965 vehicle!

Daniel Boone HomesteadDaniel Boone was much more than the man who settled Kentucky. His exploits as an explorer and frontiersman made him a legend in his own time. Boone also served in the Virginia Legislature, and fought in the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. The homestead is the birthplace of this famous frontiersman and tells the story of his youth in Pennsylvania’s Oley Valley and illuminates the daily lives of the region’s 18th-century settlers.
In addition to tours of the historic area, the site is situated on over 500 acres and has 2 picnic areas available for group rental as well as open space and trails for hiking.
There are many events throughout the year when our living history interpreters demonstrate life during colonial times and provide hands-on activities.
Group discounts available. Reservations are required.
Check out our website for hours of operation and details on the many special events throughout the year.
