STEPHEN HAWKING STUDENT ACHIVEMENT Ms. Neyami Mehta was awarded the Best Community Outreach and Development Project 2016-2018.

Women’s Day Celebration GNIMS celebrated Women’s day with lots of fun on March 8, 2018. There were two celebrations for Women’s Day – one by the Male Faculty and one by the Students for the faculty.

INTER-CLASS DEBATE The Fourth Inter-Class Debate was conducted on March 12, 2018 at 12.30 pm in Room No. 202 (postponed from March 3, 2018 to March 12, 2018 as students were not properly prepared). Pawan Verma, Prachi Kesarwani and Prabhjyot Singh, MMS A and Suraj Makwana, Akshata Pawaskar and Harsh Kindaria participated in this debate.

Union Budget 2018 – Realist or Populist was the topic of the debate. Prof. Sameer Salunkhe evaluated the debate. Both the teams participated enthusiastically and were well prepared on budget statistics but still was not able to form a stable conclusion on the topic. Students from all three courses were present as audience, very few students asked valid questions to the participants.

The Fifth Inter-Class Debate was conducted on March 10, 2018 at 12.30 pm in Room No. 202. Karamjeet Kaur, Manasvi Gala, Lalit Singh (MMS A); Prasad Bandi, Kishan Sharma, Hiten Gor (MMS B) and Damini Dubey, Karan Bondre and Priyanka Pande Participated in the Debate. The topic was Does Corporate World provide Equal Opportunities to Men and Women. Prof. Prachi Kulkarni evaluated the debate. MMS B won both the debates. Congratulations to the winning team.

DEAR – DROP EVERYTHING AND READ: March 15, 2018, Prof. Kuljeet gave a presentation to the faculty on Library Website and Library App. They appreciate the innovation of the Library, as the App was developed by the Library Team with the help of the IT Department.

IN HOUSE BOOK DISPLAY: GNIMS Library displayed the In-house books about Strategic Management and Marketing Management 0n March 17, 2018.

Value Add Activity - PGDM Prof. Kuljeet Kahlon gave a presentation about the Library website and Library app to the PGDM Students. They were asked to utilize the app and gave their recommendations to the Library as this App was developed by the Library Team with assistance from IT Department.

LIBRARY ORIENTATION: Part-time students were given an orientation about the GNIMS Library Website and Library App by Ms. Neeta Malik on March 17, 2018.

BOOK REVIEW COMPETITION: GNIMS Library organized a Book Review Competition for PGDM Students on March 24, 2018. They were asked to write a two-page review of the book and were given 5 minutes to present their review. The evaluator for the book review were Dr. Sameer Phanse, Associate Professor, GNIMS and Mr. Rushin Vadhani, A great Book Lover and our Alumni. Dr. D. Y. Patil, Director also attended the event and asked the students questions regarding their books reviewed. Both the evaluators were given a token of appreciation by the library. Chintan Mehta was awarded the First Prize, Shraddha Chavan won the Second Prize and Dilnaz won the third Prize. All the participants were given certificates.

PROJECT VIVA: Viva for the full-time students (MMS and PGDM – Semester IV) was conducted on March 25, 31, 2018 and April 1, 2018.

PAPER PRESENTED AT WORKSHOP: Prof. Kuljeet G. Kahlon, Library Manager and Ms. Neeta Malik, Assistant Library Manger attended the workshop organized by BKC Knowledge Network and hosted by Bai Ratanbai Gharda Memorial Library, Bandra, Mumbai. The workshop was on High Impact Presentation Skills, held on March 16, 2018 from 2.30 pm t0 6.15 pm. Presentation was in the Pecha Kucha Format, wherein one must present their ideas in 20 seconds per slide. Dr. Dhanashree Date, Head, TCS, Mumbai was the Guest Speaker and the Evaluator for the presentations. Prof. Kuljeet anchored the whole event and Ms. Neeta presented her presentation on the GNIMS Library.
