BASIC COMPONENTS: GN Manufacture Cuttings Dryer as part of a total system. A properly engineered and operated system consists of four main elements: A) Delivery system to move cuttings to the Cuttings Dryer B) GN Vertical Dryer C) “Dry” solids discharge / collection system D) GN Decanter Centrifuge to polish the GN Cuttings Dryer effluent Each piece is crucial to proper operation and must be engineered accordingly.




(4.2B)GN Vertical Cuttings Dryer SystemA) Feed System Size, shape, volume and moisture content of drilled solids can vary greatly. Installing a proper delivery system to deal with the range and volume of material is critical. Normally delivery systems including: • A variety of screw conveyors and chutes • Vacuum transfer systems • Positive pressure transfer systems and B) GN Vertical Cuttings Dryer The GN Vertical Cuttings Dryer processes drilled cuttings to between 3% to 5% wet weight oil. The Dryer has comfortably processed cuttings generated when drilling reached 150 feet per hour in 20-inch hole (46 meters per hour in 508-mm hole). C) “Dry” Solids Discharge or Collection A screw conveyor is usually installed beneath the Vortex Dryer and collects the “dry” solids, which are sent overboard if regulations allow, or are collected for final disposal off-site. D) Effluent Polishing The Cuttings Dryer effluent is typically collected and pumped to a high-volume decanting centrifuge for further cleaning. The decanting centrifuge separates the slurry into fine solids and “cleaned” fluid, which is often sent back to the active drilling fluid system. A portion may be used as dilution for the Dryer. The solids from the centrifuge can be collected in the same vessel or conveyor as solids from the Dryer.

(4.4A)GN Drilling Cuttings Solidification Or Stabilization Unit Description: 1. Cost can be relatively in-expensive for the treatment of both

oil based and water based drilling cuttings and waste.

2. The GN Solidification/Stabilization unit required is easily operated and maintained, also since it’s adjustable preset capacity, it works continuously and automatically, so it needs relatively few man hours, moreover, no chemical waste that requires further treatment is produces.

3. The stabilization /solidification unit provide an effective method for processing oil- base waste and water based waste; In a result, it produces an environmentally safe, dry material that is acceptable for onsite, or land farming disposal at an approved waste facility.

4. Solidification of wastes involves the production of a solid mass having sufficiently high structural integrity to allow transport and /or disposal of the solid without requiring secondary containment. This technology converts hydrologic sensitive liquid and semi-liquids waste in a physical form that can be stored safely.

5. Stabilization involves the immobilization of constituents in wastes by chemical alteration to form insoluble compounds, or by entrapment within the solidified product.




(4.4B)GN Cuttings Solidification Unit Working Process Description: Cost can be relatively in-expensive for the treatment of both oil 2.1) Drilling waste collection hopper collects all the drill cuttings & drilling waste, which is transported to the mixing chamber by the underneath screw conveyor at pre-set capacity.

2.2) Cement storage box is keeping cements powder, through the tubular screw conveyor, powders are sent to the mixer at pre-set capacity.

2.3) In the same way, absorber is kept in a box, then sent to the mixer by tubular screw conveyor.

2.4）There are 2ea 1.5inch liquid inlet, for water feeding, liquid chemical feeding, located beside the mixer inlet.

2.5）The high-shear mixer mixes all the material, and push to the front at the same time. When the solids go to the discharge port, it is already mixed sufficiently, then discharge.

Drilling waste is solidified by our innovative blending technology and can be processed continually on-site. The dosing rates of the absorber and the sludge, cements powder can be adjusted accordingly. After processed, the drilling cuttings are eco-friendly and environmentally safe for disposal.
