From the 13 driftsondes flying at around 20km altitude, ~640 dropsondes were dropped over Antarctica and the surrounding seas, coincident with Metop overpasses. Additional measurements performed at other stations in Antarctica: Dumont dUrville, Concordia and Rothera.
