Global warming is anincrease in

temperature on the

Earth¶s surfaces andoceans.

The Earth¶s

temperature has

increased 0.3 -0.6CÛover the past100 years.

Global warming is caused by greenhouse effect and

fossil fuel emissions.

Most of it is from human activities such as factories,

cars, and pesticides being used. Other Factors includes littering, and wasting

resources.

The rise in Earths temperature will cause the

North Pole to melt.

There will also be more severe weather

because the climates will change.

We might not be aware but global warming has

caused many damages to our Earth over the past

century.

Global warming meanswarmer sea temperaturewhich will cause moreintense storms.

An example of anintense storm isHurricane Katrina which

 brought major damages

to New Orleans,Louisiana in august2006.

As you can see from the picture to the left, a bigchunk of Greenland hasmelted in just thirteenyears.

The heating of the Earthwill continue to melt the

ice and bring a bigimpact on us in thefuture.

Global warming will

 bring heat waves to

many areas and it will

kill the crops. As of October 12, 2010,

United States is

experiencing drought

conditions in many areaswhich is caused by

global warming.

Global Warming will bring us many major

damages in the future.

If we do not stop global warming, global

warming will stop us.

Every ten years, sealevels rise about oneinch and it will notstop.

In the future, the cityof San Francisco willbe flooded becausethe sea water will rise

above the city¶selevation and we mustleave the city.

Many animals will diebecause of the

climate change.

Not all animals canadapt to their newclimate of warmer

weather.

Disease can alsospread due to

migrating insects.

The population isincreasing everydaywhich means moreresources such asenergy and wood arebeing used.

If we continue to buildnew houses and cars,

global warming willworsen and causemore damages.

Global Warming can be prevented from many

different ways.

We can all help out and save our beautiful

Earth from damages.

Recycling can save trees

and many other resources.

All we have to do is to put

our trash into the correct

bins.

Reusing grocery bags can

save plastic which can

damage and pollute our

Earth. When you go to

Safeway, use your old bagsto put the groceries into.

San Francisco is a

bicycle friendly city

with 45 miles of bike

lanes and 35 morecoming soon. There is

even a bicycle traffic

signal. We should use

this advantage toride our bikes to

work or school

instead of driving.

Global Warming is damaging our Earth every second

and we must try our best to stop it before it becomes
