Approach

• In2017and2018Fyffesrevieweditsoverallapproachtosustainabilityandconsultedwidelyacrossthewholecompanywithemployeesfromarangeofrolestocreateanewglobalsustainabilitystrategy.Ourgoalwas:

• toaccelerateeffortstobecomeasustainablebusiness,remainingrelevantandsuccessfulwhileaddressingandleveragingurgentenvironmentalconstraints,increasingstakeholderrequirements,andashiftingglobaleconomyandevolvingconsumerpreferences

• Fyffesconductedseveralinternalandexternalstakeholdersconsultationsthroughworkshopsandone-on-oneinterviews,aswellasbenchmarkingandresearch.ThisworkresultedintheGlobalSustainabilityStrategywhichhasalongtermtimelineto2030inlinewiththeUnitedNationsSustainableDevelopmentGoals(UNSDGs)butwithaninitial3yearroadmap

• TheUNSDGsFyffeshaschosentofocusonare;3 goodhealthandwellbeing,5genderequality,6 cleanwaterandsanitation,8 decentworkandeconomicgrowthand12 responsibleconsumptionandproduction

• Fyffeswillworkinpartnershipwithlocalandinternationalcivilsocietyactorstorealise oursustainabilityobjectives17
