The PetroAfricanus Club
Focused on Africa’s upstream, the Club provides a unique global networking forum and social program for corporate and state players in Africa’s petroleum industry, across the value chain.
The primary mechanism for this high-quality network interface is through our regular annual program of Club receptions (with Guest Speakers) and dinners:
•Annual Program of Club receptions held in London, Paris, Windhoek, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Lagos, Geneva, Marrakech, Nicosia and Tunis by-invitation only.
•The annual PetroAfricanus Dinner in Africa held in Cape Town during our landmark Africa Oil Week.
Private Club Setting
Members and Guests are invited to meet in a private setting under Machiavelli’s Rules (No Press or reportage). Membership is not normally open to private consultants, advisory groups, media, and academia, unless so invited.
Members
Membership is typically made available to senior executives within Africa’s oil and gas industry – including inter alia: oil and gas operators, state oil and energy companies, Ministers and Ministry officials, service-supply players, and those engaged in Africa’s oil, energy law, oil and gas banking, investment and finance. Individual members are confirmed by invitation on a complimentary and gratis basis. Around 4,500 Members and Guests have been attending our Club dinners and receptions over the last decade.
Sub-Saharan Africa Petroleum Exploration Society
Sapex is an initiative of the African Institute of Petroleum. Its Secretariat is managed by Global Pacific & Partners.
Sapex brings together explorationists and geoscience on the continent through an alliance of companies, state oil and gas entities and members.
Membership is gratis to individuals in geoscience and technical fields, and to companies active in Africa’s upstream industry.
Aims:
• Broaden relationships amongst Africa’s industry and geoscience communities
• Act as an interface for members inside and outside Africa
• Encourage Geological Societies in Africa to affiliate to Sapex
• Provide a focus for knowledge and technical content sharing
• Host a dedicated e-Conference for technical presentations
• Manage an online “Africa Deal Flow” Forum• Host a Technical-Exploration Panel at Africa Oil

African Institute of Petroleum
The African Institute of Petroleum established in 1996 acts to foster the growth and development of the African upstream industry. It provides insights, knowledge and networks to build relationships and understanding across the African continent between private companies, state oil and gas entities and governments.
Conrad Gerber Award
The Conrad Gerber Award for Research and Intellectual Contribution to Africa is awarded annually at the Africa Oil Week in Cape Town.
Aims
• Promote investments by operator/partner companies across Africa’s oil and gas upstream industry
• Communicate company and investor interests in Africa to state agencies, Ministries and Africa’s Governments
• Make accessible selected research, studies and insights
• Monitor the state of Africa’s upstream industry
• Build linkages between corporate players and Africa’s state oil firms and inter-state entities

Our worldwide senior executive industry network brings together invited corporate and state officials from around the global oil, gas-LNG and energy industry to interface and connect in a private and confidential manner, within a closed and exclusive forum managed by the senior partners of Global Pacific & Partners.

Membership is restricted to senior-level industry executives, by invitation only or on request, with Right of Admission reserved by Global Pacific & Partners, and closed to Press & Media.

Global Oil Executive Network
Global Women Petroleum & Energy Club
The Club recognises of the ascending and significant role of women in global oil, gas and energy, in key roles, and is exclusively open to women.
The Club formed in 2001, launched two major conferences, one on women and energy in Africa, held in Johannesburg, and another on global women in oil and gas, held in London.
It published the path-breaking report in 2002 (Women Executives in Global Oil, Gas and Energy), and was the pioneer of championing the interests of women in geoscience, management and at board level within the worldwide oil, gas and energy.

Membership is open to women professionally engaged in the oil and gas industry, including inter alia: oil and gas operators, state oil and energy companies, ministries and officials, service-supply players, and those engaged in oil, energy law, oil and gas banking, investment and finance.

Global Oil Press Club
The Club is hosted by Global Pacific & Partners to facilitate worldwide relations within the upstream industry for the benefit of companies, governments and media.
Members
The Club is designed for Press, Media and Public Relations professionals in the world oil industry, whether corporate, government, service/supply, institutional, investment banking, finance or legal – including journalists, publishers and editors.
The Club is a private group, by invitation only, or on request, with Right of Admission reserved by Global Pacific & Partners.

Origin
The Association was formed at an inaugural meeting in London in 2009 to build relationships worldwide between licensing agencies, regulators, ministries and national oil companies engaged in the marketing and management of acreage and assets.
Modus Operandi
The Association is a pro bono initiative founded by Global Pacific & Partners to build world-class acreage strategy, marketing and asset transaction conditions across the global upstream industry, including best practices and roadshows to connect with corporate oil players worldwide.

Our Young Professionals in Oil, Gas & Energy initiative was launched in 1999 and for well over a decade Global Pacific & Partners has supported a wide range of Young Professionals to connect with the global oil industry.
Aims
The Club facilitates opportunities for young professionals to meet and learn from corporate and state players in the worldwide oil industry, as a means to build the next generation of leadership. Equally, the Club links young talent to companies for potential training and employment.
