PrefaceTurning a Magazine into a Book

The origin of this book is a magazine – Global Outlook Issue #11, Spring/Summer 2006 – of which 12,000 copies were published on May 26, 2006. Three and a half months later we were sold out and wondered what to do, considering that there was still a steady demand for more copies. Many readers had already referred to that issue as a book and therefore it was a natural transition for us to turn the magazine into a book in order to meet further demand, get broader distribution in book stores and be available on Amazon.com. The major difference is the inclusion of a bonus 80 page transcript of the New York City 9/11 Citizens’ Commission held September 9, 2004, which we consider a ‘truly independent’ investigation into the events of 9/11. The current US government’s version of what happened on 9/11 is that 19 kamikaze Arab hijackers – with the help of Osama bin Laden from a cave in Afghanistan – used planes as bombs to attack America because “they hate our freedoms.” These so-called al Qaeda terrorists apparently sailed through the most formidable defense system in the world as if everyone in charge was caught completely off guard! Absurd as this may sound, a majority of Americans, up to now, still accept this explanation. However, a Zogby Poll of 1200 respondents held in May 2006 reveals that over 70 million voting age Americans distrust the official 9/11 story. Poll results indicate 42% believe there has indeed been a cover-up (with 10% unsure) and 45% think “Congress or an International Tribunal should re-investigate the attacks, including whether any US government officials consciously allowed or helped facilitate their success” (with 8% unsure).

In this publication, we reveal a multitude of discrepancies between the proven facts and the many myths put forth by the Bush-Cheney White House regime concerning 9/11. We also point out the serious implications to all of us living on this vulnerable planet of letting a majority of the American public remain in the dark about what really transpired – both humanity and Mother Nature will be the victims of the Bush-Cheney agenda for an endless ‘war on terrorism’.De-constructing the Official Story for 9/11

President Bush once said, “Let us not tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories about September 11th.” However, we mustn’t forget that the official story is a conspiracy theory, in that there was a conspiracy by a certain group of people to ter-rorize America on 9/11. Plus the White House’s explanation is only a theory unsubstantiated by any solid evidence.

For example, on June 5, 2006, FBI spokesman and Chief of Investigative Publicity Rex Tomb said: “The FBI has no hard evidence connecting Osama bin Laden to 9/11.” Not only that, but take a look at the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list (at www.fbi.gov./wanted/toptenfugitives/laden.htm) and you will see that “Usama Bin Laden”, as he is called by the FBI, is still not accused of the 9/11 attacks after almost five years! Does that not indicate that the official story is suspect?

The official explanation, in fact, has the least amount of evidence to back it up compared to any other explanation that has been offered so far by serious 9/11 researchers, as you will see in these pages.Eight Chapters in this Book Debunk the Official Story (which States or Implies):1. That the US government would never orchestrate a fake attack in order to create a pretext for war and that it would

never plan to kill its own citizens as a means to an end – see Chapter 1 – Historical Background to 9/11.2. That the US Air Force wasn’t notified in time by the FAA due to ‘miscommunications’ – see Chapter 2 – The Flights.3. That the Twin Towers collapsed because two commercial airliners crashed into them and the jet fuel caused such hot

fires they totally weakened the steel and precipitated a progressive (pancake) collapse – see Chapter 3 – The Towers.4. That 19 Arabs were competent enough to hijack four commercial planes and crash them into 3 out of 4 targets without

being shot down and that all 19 of them died in the attacks – see Chapter 4 – The Patsies.5. That four 9/11 whistleblowers within the US government were wrong about their suspicions that their superiors (in the

FBI) tried to prevent them from uncovering the 9/11 plot before it unfolded – see Chapter 5 – The Moles?6. That The 9/11 Commission Report “provided the fullest possible account of the events surrounding 9/11” and its

conclusion, that “9/11 was a failure of imagination”, is satisfactory – see Chapter 6 – The Biggest Lies.7. That the “war on terror” is justifiable as retaliation for the 9/11 attacks and is meant to bring freedom and democracy

to the rogue nations of Afghanistan and Iraq – see Chapter 7 – Geopolitics.8. That the mainstream media have done a fair and honest job of reporting on 9/11 – see Chapter 8 – Media Coercion.9/11: The Greatest Crime of All Time

If even one of these eight chapters convinces a few more open-minded citizens that the US government was lying about what really happened on 9/11, then we will have succeeded in our mission. If, collectively, we can prove to a majority of Americans that there was indeed an insidious conspiracy hatched in the basement of the White House prior to 9/11, by some greedy cabal of neo-cons who were willing to sacrifice the lives of 3000 innocent people that day, in order to pave the way for an Orwellian New World Order, then 9/11 will sooner or later become known as the greatest crime of all time … and so it should!

At the end of the film United 93, when it appears Flight 93 has crashed due to an act of hero-ism, the silver screen goes blank and the audi-

ence gasps for air. Very powerful stuff – Hollywood at its best. Then these ominous words appear: “At 10:18 a.m., the President authorized the military to engage hijacked aircraft. Fearing an accidental shoot down, the military command-ers chose not to pass the order to pilots in the air.” You can practically hear everyone in the audience gulp and say to themselves: “Damn it... too bad!”

But was it true or was Hollywood twisting the facts (like The 9/11 Commission Report did before it) to help the White House solidify its “Legend of 9/11”?

“United 93” – Based on Fact or Fiction?A front page story in the Washington Post written by

Dan Balz and Bob Woodward on January 27, 2002, called “America’s Chaotic Road to War” (excerpted here, bolding added) contradicts this timeline:

After Bush’s statement at Booker Elementary School [on 9/11], his motorcade raced back to Sarasota Braden-ton International Airport. As Bush boarded Air Force One, a Secret Service agent, showing a trace of nervous-ness, said, “Mr. President, we need you to get seated as soon as possible.” The plane accelerated down the runway and then almost stood on its tail as it climbed rapidly out of the airport. It was 9:55 a.m.

Once airborne, Bush spoke again to Cheney who said the combat air patrol needed rules of engagement if pilots encountered an aircraft that might be under the control of hijackers. Cheney recommended that Bush authorize the military to shoot down any such civilian airliners – as momentous a decision as the president was asked to make in those first hours. “I said, ‘You bet,’” Bush recalled. “We had a little discussion, but not much.”

Bush then talked to Rumsfeld to clarify the proce-dures military pilots should follow in trying to force an unresponsive plane to the ground before opening fire on it. First, pilots would seek to make radio contact with the other plane and tell the pilot to land at a specific location. If that failed, the pilots were to use visual sig-nals. These included having the fighters fly in front of the other plane.

If the plane continued heading toward what was seen as a significant target with apparent hostile intent, the US pilot would have the authority to shoot it down. With Bush’s approval, Rumsfeld passed the order down the chain of command.

Within minutes, there was a report that a plane had crashed in southwestern Pennsylvania – what turned out to be United Flight 93, a Boeing 757 that

had been hijacked after leaving Newark International Airport. Many of those in the PEOC [Presidential Emergency Operations Center] feared that Cheney’s order had brought down a civilian aircraft. Rice de-manded that someone check with the Pentagon.

On Air Force One, Bush inquired, “Did we shoot it down or did it crash?” It took the Pentagon almost two hours to confirm that the plane had not been shot down, an enormous relief.

Several other news sources, including The New York Times, ABC and CBS news, corroborate the Washington Post’s version of what happened: that the shoot down order came at about eight minutes before Flight 93 crashed (at 10:03).

A revealing quote in Richard Clarke’s book, Against All Enemies (p. 8), states that Clarke was told by Cheney’s aide at around 9:50 a.m.: “Air Force One is getting ready to take off, with some press still on board. ... Tell the Pentagon they have authority from the President to shoot down hostile aircraft.”

These and other versions of what happened cast serious doubt on the official version of when the shoot down author-ity was given and whether or not a shoot down actually did occur. (See Chapter 2, Flights of Fancy, by theologian David Ray Griffin, p. 35.)

Dispelling the Myths – Revealing the TruthHow many other fictions are buried within the plot of

United 93? Or, for that matter, in The 9/11 Commission Report – which is the main piece of propaganda upon which the 9/11 legend is built? That is the subject of this book.

The truth is leaking out and the White House, in cahoots with Hollywood and the corporate-controlled mainstream media, are doing everything they can to plug the holes in the official story. But the American public is wising up to all the inconsistencies, distortions, omissions and bald-faced lies.

An August 3, 2006 Scripps Howard / Ohio University poll which surveyed 1,010 adults across America found that 36% of respondents overall said it is ‘very likely’ or ‘some-what likely’ that federal officials either participated in the at-tacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon or took no action to stop them “because they wanted the United States to go to war in the Middle East.”

The poll also found that 16% of Americans speculate that secretly planted explosives, not burning passenger jets, were the real reason the massive Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed. After examining all the evidence contained here, in this book, I hope that you, too, will be convinced that the official story of 9/11 is one big pack of lies and that the “The Legend of 9/11” will have a very short run. ▄

Actor Charlie Sheen has joined a growing army of other highly credible public figures in question-ing the official story of 9/11 and calling for a

new independent investigation of the attack and the circum-stances surrounding it.

Over the past two years, scores of highly regarded in-dividuals have gone public to express their serious doubts about 9/11. These include former presidential advisor and CIA analyst Ray McGovern, the father of Reaganomics and former Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury Paul Craig Roberts, BYU physics Professor Steven Jones, former Ger-man defense minister Andreas Von Buelow, former MI-5 of-ficer David Shayler, former Blair cabinet member Michael Meacher, former Chief Economist for the Department of Labor during President George W. Bush’s first term Morgan Reynolds and many more.

Speaking to The Alex Jones Radio Show on the GCN Radio Network, the star of current hit comedy show Two and a Half Men and dozens of movies including Platoon and Young Guns, Sheen elaborated on why he had problems believing the government’s version of events.

Sheen agreed that the biggest conspiracy theory was put out by the government itself and prefaced his argument by quoting Theodore Roosevelt in stating, “That we are to stand by the President right or wrong is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

“We’re not the conspiracy theorists on this particular issue,” said Sheen.

“It seems to me like 19 amateurs with box cutters tak-ing over four commercial airliners and hitting 75% of their targets, that feels like a conspiracy theory. It raises a lot of questions.”

Sheen described the climate of acceptance for serious discussion about 9/11 as being far more fertile than it was a couple of years ago. “It feels like from the people I talk to in and around my circles, it seems like the worm is turning.”

Suspicious Collapse of BuildingsSheen described his immediate skepticism regarding

the official reason for the collapse of the Twin Towers and Building 7 on the day of 9/11.

“I was up early and we were gonna do a pre-shoot on Spin City, the show I used to do, I was watching the news and the North Tower was burning. I saw the South Tower hit live, that famous wide shot where it disappears behind the building and then we see the tremendous fireball.”

“There was a feeling, it just didn’t look any commercial jetliner I’ve flown on any time in my life and then when the buildings came down later on that day I said to my brother ‘call me insane, but did it sorta look like those buildings came down in a controlled demolition’?”

Sheen said that most people’s gut instinct, that the build-ings had been deliberately imploded, was washed away by the incessant flood of the official version of events from day one.

Sheen questioned the plausibility of a fireball traveling 1100 feet down an elevator shaft and causing damage to the lobbies of the towers as seen in video footage, especially when contrasted with eyewitness accounts of bombs and ex-plosions in the basement levels of the buildings.

Regarding WTC 7, which wasn’t hit by a plane, Sheen highlighted the use of the term ‘pull’, a demolition industry term for pulling the outer walls of the building towards the center in an implosion, as was used by Larry Silverstein in a September 2002 PBS documentary when he said that the decision to ‘pull’ Building 7 was made before its collapse. (See sidebar p. 55.) This technique ensures the building col-lapses in its own footprint and can clearly be seen during the collapse of WTC 7 with the classic ‘crimp’ being visible.

The highly suspicious collapse of Building 7 and the Twin Towers has previously been put under the spotlight by physics Professor Steven Jones and Kevin Ryan of Un-derwriters Laboratories, the company that certified the steel components used in the construction of the World Trade Center towers.

“The term ‘pull’ is as common to the demolition world as ‘action’ and ‘cut’ are to the movie world,” said Sheen.

Sheen referenced firefighters in the buildings who were eyewitnesses to demolition style implosions and bombs.

“This is not you or I watching the videos and speculating on what we saw, these are gentlemen inside the buildings at the very point of collapse.”

“If there’s a problem with Building 7 then there’s a problem with the whole thing,” said Sheen.

and his location at the Booker Elementary School in Flor-ida. Once Andy Card had whispered to Bush that America was under attack why didn’t the secret service immediately whisk Bush away to a secret location?

By remaining at a location where it was publicly known the President would be before 9/11, he was not only putting his own life in danger, but the lives of hundreds of school-children. That is unless the govern-ment knew for sure what the targets were beforehand and that President Bush wasn’t one of them.

“It seems to me that upon the revelation of that news that the secret service would grab the President as if he was on fire and remove him from that room,” said Sheen.

The question of how Bush saw the first plane hit the North Tower, when no live footage of that incident was car-ried, an assertion that Bush repeated twice, was also put un-der the spotlight.

“I guess one of the perks of being President is that you get access to TV channels that don’t exist in the known uni-verse,” said Sheen.

“It might lead you to believe that he’d seen similar im-ages in some type of rehearsal as it were, I don’t know.”

The Pentagon IncidentSheen outlined his disbelief that the official story of what

happened at the Pentagon matched the physical evidence.“Show us this incredible maneuvering, just show it to

us. Just show us how this particular plane pulled off these maneuvers. 270° turn at 500 miles an hour descending 7,000 feet in two and a half minutes, skimming across treetops the last 500 meters.”

We’ve not been able to confirm that a large commercial airliner hit the Pentagon because the government has seized and refused to release any footage that would show the impact.

“I understand in the interest of national security that maybe not release the Pentagon cameras but what about the Sheraton, what about the gas station, what about the Depart-ment of Transportation freeway cam? What about all these shots that had this thing perfectly documented?

Instead they put out five frames that they claim not to have authorized; it’s really suspicious,” said Sheen. (See photos p. 108.)

Sheen also questioned how the plane basically disap-peared into the Pentagon with next to no wreckage and no indication of what happened to the wing sections.

Concerning how the Bush administration had finalized Afghanistan war plans two days before 9/11 with the amass-ing of 44,000 US troops and 18,000 British troops in Tajiki-stan and Uzbekistan, and in addition the call for “some cata-strophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor,” as outlined in the PNAC documents, Sheen stated, “you don’t really put those strategies together overnight, do you, for a major invasion? Those are really well calculated and really well planned.”

“Coincidence? We think not,” said Sheen and he called the PNAC quotes “emblematic of the arrogance of this administration.”A Real Investigation

Sheen joined others in calling for a revised and truly inde-pendent investigation of 9/11.

Sheen said that “September 11 wasn’t the Zapruder film, it was the Zapruder film festival,” and that the inquiry had to be, “headed, if this is possible, by some neutral investigative committee. What if we used retired political foreign nationals? What if we used experts that don’t have any ties whatsoever to this administration?”

“It is up to us to reveal the truth. It is up to us because we owe it to the families, we owe it to the victims. We owe it to ev-erybody’s life who was drastically altered, horrifically, that day and forever. We owe it to them to uncover what happened.”

Charlie Sheen joins the rest of his great family and notably his father Martin Sheen, who was lambasted for opposing the Iraq war before it had begun, yet has now been proven right in triplicate, in using his prominent public platform to stand for truth and justice and we applaud and salute his brave efforts, remembering Mark Twain’s quote:

“In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated, and scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.”

Actor Charlie Sheen made history when he first questioned the official story of 9/11, calling it the “biggest conspiracy theory of them all.”

Sheen’s comments sent shock waves across the alternative media and have been one of the biggest stories on the Inter-net for weeks. The story also garnered prime time coverage by major news outlets including CNN, FOX News, and hun-dreds of newspapers worldwide.

Following his brave step into the spotlight over his 9/11 questions and the ensuing backlash of attacks and hit pieces, Sheen issued an e-mail state-ment to the media demanding that he be challenged on the facts instead of junior high name-calling. Not one single main-stream media outlet has had the nerve to take Sheen up on his challenge.

Only a few days after Sheen’s story broke in the mainstream press, sources within FOX News and CNN told Alex Jones off-the-record that there was a concerted effort from their companies’ management to ‘kill’ the Sheen story and to end any favorable coverage of the 9/11 Truth movement. Producers were given this dictate despite the record high rat-ings and positive audience feedback that was received from coverage of the Sheen 9/11 story.

On Friday, April 14th on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live talk show, Sheen once again brought forward his questions about the official story to tens of millions of Americans. When asked by host Jimmy Kimmel about the statements he made on The Alex Jones Radio Show, Sheen succinctly remarked, “I just had questions, I had a lot of questions.”

He went further, decrying the media’s treatment of his statements, noting that “[the mainstream media] didn’t really take a look at any of the stuff I was asking them to look at, any of the evidence or any of the stuff that generated those questions ...”; instead they spun it into the story of whether or not he was ‘qualified’ to question the government.

“I felt the only real validation that I needed was being a tax paying citizen that loves my country,” Sheen expressed to a powerful round of applause from the studio audience. Sheen continued, “What happened to the time in this country when we were entitled, when we had a constitutional and a God-given right to be curious about things that didn’t make sense.”

When asked by Kimmel what had brought him to pose his questions about the official story, Sheen replied, “I’ve done a lot of research,” then referred to the growing number of high-profile individuals who have already bravely stepped forward to ask questions about 9/11, stating “... it’s not just me, its the people that have come before me – the experts and the engineers, the physicists and the scientists and the scholars, that raised a lot of these things and I took a look

at their research and said yeah, it doesn’t add up, a lot of it doesn’t add up, hence these questions.”

Before Kimmel moved the discus-sion to another topic, Sheen was careful to remind the audience, “There are two areas: Building 7 and the five frames from the Pentagon. Don’t listen to me, do your own research.”

Following the broadcast of the Jim-my Kimmel Live show, Alex Jones spoke with Sheen about his views concerning the interview. Sheen made the following statement:

“This is a landmark moment in the 9/11 Truth movement. We have fired a flaming arrow into the heart of the myo-pic propaganda posing as the irrefutable official story. Come one, come all, the floodgates have opened! Reveal your pa-triotism.”

In response Alex Jones stated, “In my 12 years of broad-cast, I have broken hundreds of stories that have gained na-tional attention, but none have captured the imagination of the people like Charlie Sheen’s statements on 9/11. Univer-sally people recognize that his courageous stand has smashed the floodgates and the tide has now turned. The 9/11 Truth movement saw its birth over four and a half years ago and it witnessed an unprecedented infusion when Charlie Sheen spoke out.”

“The bottom line is that people resonate with Charlie Sheen’s courage. The average man or woman understands that Sheen is taking a risk by saying aloud what they have only thought about in secret: 9/11 was an inside job and the foundational event for the police state growing in America and the pretext for the ongoing wars for global empire.”

I n law, fraud is a “false representation of a matter of fact whether by words or by conduct, by false or misleading allegations, or by concealment of

what should have been disclosed that deceives and is intend-ed to deceive”. In contract law, fraudulent misrepresentation is when “the representation is made with intent to deceive and with the knowledge that it is false.” The prosecution of Zacarias Moussaoui for the attacks of 9/11 fits these defini-tions completely.

This trial of the only person the government has con-nected to the 9/11 myth was fully sensationalized. Focusing on the deaths that occurred that day, the families’ agony, the testimony of Rudy Giuliani, were all designed to open the still raw emotional wounds felt by our collective psyche. It is utterly amazing what extraneous information was used. The prosecution brought in pictures of bodies found in the Pentagon. They raised the drama level by playing the voice recorder tapes, which had only been listened to by a few family members before this point. Parts of cell phone calls were brought in as evidence, despite the evidence that exists which disprove they were even possible. Furthermore, the prosecution strategists must have known they would have a difficult time pinning 9/11 on Moussaoui, since one of their attorneys, Carla Martin, actually tried to influence aviation witnesses and was subsequently removed from the trial.

In all the drama, there are two central points that were totally missed. First, prosecuting Moussaoui for 9/11 was baseless because the government’s account is itself a mon-umental fraud. Its story is unproven and unprovable. Sec-ond, senior FBI officials clearly obstructed attempts by field agents Coleen Rowley and Harry Samit who were tracking Moussaoui and desperately trying to obtain a FISA warrant to investigate him. Instead of being fired, these senior of-ficials named David Frasca, Michael Maltbie, and Marion ‘Spike’ Bowman, were promoted. They were rewarded for making sure Moussaoui wasn’t detected and his laptop com-puter wasn’t analyzed. When the laptop was finally looked at after the attacks, it was discovered that it contained infor-mation which could have led agents to others in the ‘patsy network’. Instead, they remained protected.

Let’s add in the fact that one of 70 memos submitted by Harry Samit in his desperate attempts to clear the way to investigate Moussaoui was edited by Michael Maltbie with key details deleted, according to LA Times staff writer Jason Serrano. Samit later described the senior official’s actions as ‘criminally negligent’, yet another crime. In fact, another Minneapolis agent’s e-mail stated that senior officials were “setting this up for failure.”

Now let’s add in the fact that Moussaoui wasn’t taken seriously by high ranking al Qaeda operatives, according to an Associated Press article on March 26. He was portrayed as a misfit who refused to follow orders. Can anybody think he would ever be capable of flying a commercial airliner after a

few flight lessons? Yet, the media treatment of Moussaoui has served to spread the evil hijacker myth in calculated fashion.

Although the government would have us believe Moussaoui wasn’t investigated prior to 9/11 due to FBI in-competence and bureaucratic bungling, only people stuck in the worst kind of denial or naïveté can be satisfied with that conclusion. Despite numerous mainstream articles revealing crimes of obstruction within the FBI, the media and Ameri-can public have remained in a state of invincible ignorance, and blind to yet another smoking gun.

Now that the verdict of life in prison has been deliv-ered, many family members will still not be satisfied until all secrecy gets lifted, and there’s full exposure of what really happened on those planes.

Citizens need to make the case that the true orchestra-tors of the attacks have not been brought to justice, and the prosecution of one dubious patsy character in no way can dispel the myths we’ve been fed. Let’s demand that the in-formation held by the Pentagon be released now.

Let’s expose this fraud. Justice must be persistently pur-sued until the wall of deception gets pierced or falls of its own weight. This could happen at any time. There are signs showing that momentum is on our side.

penalty phase is o�er, I certainly hope that the information will be flowing freely to the American people. For four years, I and many other 9/11 family members ha�e fought �ery hard to ha�e information released to the public, information about go�ernmental failures. We were always told that we couldn‘t ha�e that information because it would harm Moussaoui‘s right to a fair trial.

[2.] Ha�ing said that, I would appreciate someone asking either Senator Biden or former Mayor Giuliani, if their standard for [the] death [penalty] is: “withholding information from the FBI that could ha�e pre�ented the 9/11 attacks” — how then, are we excusing FBI agents Maltbie and Frasca, who were accused (or allegedly accused in the Moussaoui penalty phase itself) of being criminally negligent with regard to [not] giving a FISA warrant?

How would you explain George Tenet, who withheld informa-tion about two of the 9/11 hijackers for 18 months from the FBI – in-formation that certainly would ha�e gone a long way into pre�enting those attacks? And I’d like to know, where are we drawing the line here? What is the threshold? Why are we not holding those types of people in our own government accountable? And I think they’re going to ha�e a lot of explaining to do in Congress and at the White House when that information flows to the American people and the American people start asking similar questions.[For more on Moussaoui see pp. 108-109, Breitweiser’s photo p. 72.]

I n the beginning was 9/11, shortly followed by the Big Lie. Then from mainstream and alternative media came three years of lies reinforcing the

official 9/11 story, leading up to the release of The 9/11 Commission ‘Report’ – the official lie in book form. Now, with the Hollywood movie United 93, we get the lie in cinema vérité.

This version, like the others, is easily demonstrable as a falsification. It features the same impossibilities, absurdities and contradictions as the lie in its other forms. As such it con-tains the seeds of its own destruction.

The 9/11 Commission’s strategy of making the FAA the fall guy for the ‘failures’ that day is embellished in United 93. “We’re getting no clearance from the FAA to get those birds over Manhattan,” complains a NORAD com-mander playing himself. Since when do the military await orders from the FAA?

Within the movie are anomalies that should make au-diences laugh out loud, except that the frenetic pace of the hand-held camera work precludes critical thought by the un-prepared. At one point we are introduced to a passenger who is a pilot. He offers: “I’m a pilot. I’ve been flying all my life. There’s something wrong here.” This would make sense except that his line comes after the plane has been hijacked by a screaming man who bares a home made bomb strapped to his abdomen and holds aloft a detonator switch with wires running to the bomb. Yep, something’s not right here – this pilot, the dialogue, the whole movie. We see four cell phone calls made, none of which would be possible at that altitude over rural countryside lacking cell phone transmitters. The fact that debris from Flight 93 was found over 13 square ki-lometers, indicative that it was shot down, finds no place in this movie, which has the plane going straight down into that ‘crash site’ where no bodies and not a drop of blood were found.

The movie, according to executive producer Paul Green-grass, is “based on fact” and spun out in the ‘real time’ Flight

93 was aloft. This combination will prove its Achilles heel. For instance, long after all the four airliners have allegedly been hijacked by terrorists, the FAA and the military are en-gaged in patently absurd dis-cussions about “getting some birds up there.” In the real world, interceptors are scrambled in three minutes or so.

United 93 is a con job, a particular form of psychologi-cal warfare. The night I saw it, the stunned silence that fol-lowed the end of the movie suggested to me that perhaps the audience had swallowed it hook, line and sinker. If so they have swallowed state-sponsored propaganda embed-ded within a meta version of information warfare. Is it co-incidence that the alleged conversations captured from the cockpit voice recorder of Flight 93 were released by the state 1,670 days after the events of 9/11? On April 13, at the show trial of Zacarias Moussaoui? Just 15 days before release of this movie? That the movie’s dialogue follows the released alleged conversations perfectly? Either this is sheer coinci-dence or high-level planning.

As usual, the mainstream media remain oblivious to such facts and questions. Mainstream reviewers universally praised the movie for its verisimilitude, becoming effective tools of the state psy-war planners. Maclean’s magazine movie critic Brian D. Johnson accepts United 93 as a documentary, some-thing even the movie doesn’t claim. “There’s something re-assuring to have the pieces of the puzzle put together. It’s very true to reality,” he said on TVO’s current affairs program Studio 2, on April 28, the day the movie opened.

United 93 presents another opportunity for the 9/11 Truth movement to reveal another pastiche of lies and thereby a

cover-up, this time on cellu-loid. United 93, the movie, will eventually crash like Flight 93. It’s up to us to shoot it down, using ammu-nition drawn from the mov-ie itself. “Nobody’s going to help us. We’ve got to do

Venezuelan Government Urged to Launch an International 9/11 Investigation

Rodriguez this week embarked on a groundbreaking trip to Caracas Venezuela in which they met with the President of the Assembly and will soon meet with Venezuelan President himself Hugo Chavez in anticipation of an official Venezuelan government investigation into 9/11.

Rodriguez was the last survivor pulled from the rubble of the North Tower of the WTC, and was responsible for all stairwells within the tower. Rodriguez represented family members of 9/11 victims and testified to the 9/11 Commission that bombs were in the North Tower but his statements were completely omitted from the official record.

Jimmy Walter has been at the forefront of a world tour to raise awareness about 9/11 and has still yet to receive any re-sponse to his million dollar challenge in which he offers a $1 million reward for proof that the trade towers’ steel structure was broken apart without explosives. Rodriguez said he was told that an FBI agent had asked the hotel where he and Walter were staying to turn over a list of names of residents. Upon hearing this, the National Assembly provided Walter and Rodriguez armed military protection for the entirety of the trip. In addition, Walter said that CIA agents were seen surveilling the beach on which he and Rodriguez had handed out free DVDs a day earlier.

The US government attempted to sabotage the trip by placing Rodriguez, who was decorated by George Bush at a White House ceremony, and Walter, on a no fly list.

Rodriguez and Walter (pictured here) are educating top Venezuelan officials on the evidence that 9/11 was a self-in-flicted wound carried out by the military-industrial complex. They have also appeared on every Venezuelan television and radio station, both private and state owned, and have given

huge presentations to ma-jor universities.

Upon visiting, Rodri-guez said that the President of the Assembly Nicolas Maduro’s home was brim-ming with books, videos and documents about the 9/11 cover-up. Maduro, Venezuela’s top legislator, intoned that he was ready to create an international investigative committee, to look into the “interna-tional crime scene” that is 9/11, and that this would be structured via Hugo Chavez’s government.

Rodriguez and Walter are also set to appear on Hugo Chavez’s weekly broadcast Alo Presidente – which is often subsequently the source of major international headlines. If this event receives no coverage in the US, we will know for

sure that a blackout order is in place.Rodriguez and Walter offered their

full support for Charlie Sheen’s recent public stance on 9/11 and were heart-ened by his efforts. The potential of a government-level inquiry endorsed by Hugo Chavez dovetails with Sheen’s call for an independent investigation to be carried out by political foreign nationals.

Though the establishment media in the US will no doubt seek to de-monize Chavez as a militant with an axe to grind, this is an exciting devel-opment and the next step on the road to a genuine investigation that will seek to uncover the truth rather than hide skeletons and whitewash facts, as was witnessed with the staged 9/11 Commission Report by the Kean com-mittee.

Some Recent US Government Cover-Ups and Dirty TricksThere are dozens of historic instances of US government deceptions, lies, corruption and cover-ups, especially since WWII. Here are but 8 examples. Is 9/11 part of the pattern?

Kennedy’s Assassination – The official story states this was the deed of lone gunman Lee Harvey Oswald, who shot from the rear. “No conspiracy, foreign or domestic.” One reasonable doubt can shatter the official view. Here are two: “Nearly 100 persons believed that the shots … came from the knoll,” Mark Lane reports. Dr. Kemp Clark, Chief of Neu-rosurgery, Parkland Hospital, testified Kennedy’s throat bullet wound was from the front.(This according to: 1. Anthony Lewis, Preface, Report on the Warren Commission; 2. Mark Lane, Rush to Judgment, 1966; 3. Mark Lane, Plausible Denial: Was the CIA involved in the Assassination of JFK? 1991.)

The Pentagon Papers – The Pentagon Papers refers to a 7,000-page, top-secret US Department of Defense history of the US’ political and military in�ol�ement in the Vietnam War from 1945 to

1971. Most of the Pentagon Papers were ‘leaked’ to The New York Times in early 1971 by DoD employee Daniel Ellsberg. They re�ealed that the go�ernment had deliberately expanded its role in the war, well before the American public was told that such actions were necessary ... even while president Lyndon Johnson had been promising not to expand the war.

Mÿ Lai – The Mÿ Lai Massacre was a massacre committed by US soldiers of hundreds of unarmed Vietnamese ci�ilians, mostly women and children, on March 16, 1968, during the Vietnam War. It prompted widespread outrage around the world and reduced American support at home for the war in Vietnam. The soldiers in one platoon killed from 347 to 504 Vietnamese ci�ilians – primarily old men, women, children, and babies. Some were tortured or raped. Dozens were herded into a ditch and executed with automatic weapons.

The King Assassination – The official story states this was the deed of lone gunman James Earl Ray. No conspiracy. However, a month-long civil jury trial into King’s death (led by William Pepper who represented the King family) involving a jury consisting of six blacks and six whites, was held in Memphis, Tennessee in 1999, with 70 witnesses. The �erdict: “Guilty against (among others) co-conspirators … US Go�ernment, Memphis Police Department, Earl Clark, Frank Liberto, J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI, Richard Helms and the CIA, and the military.” The King family was awarded $100 as a symbolic gesture in this landmark ruling.

Watergate – The term ‘Watergate’ refers to a series of e�ents, spanning from 1972 to 1974, that began with US President Nixon’s administration’s abuse of power – in�ol�ing the bugging of the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee in the Watergate Hotel – in order to undermine political opposition within the public anti-war mo�ement and the Democratic Party. With the prospect of certain impeachment, Nixon resigned on August 9, 1974. Indirectly, Watergate was the cause of new laws leading to extensi�e changes in campaign financing and amendments to the Freedom of Information Act in 1986.

Iran-Contra – The Iran-Contra Affair took place during the 1980s involving several members of the Reagan administration who engaged in the sale of arms to Iran, an a�owed enemy, and used proceeds from the sales to illegally fund the Contras, a right-wing guerrilla group in Nicaragua. President Reagan appeared before the American public and told a national television audience that the US had not sold weapons to Iran. Later he admitted it had.

Oli�er North and John Poindexter were indicted on multiple charges (March 16, 1988).

The Savings and Loan Debacle – The Savings and Loan crisis of the 1980s was a wave of savings and loan association failures in the US in which o�er 1,000 sa�ings and loan institutions failed. The ultimate cost of the crisis is estimated to have cost the US government about $125 billion. Fraud and insider abuse were the worst aggravating factors in the wave of S&L failures. Charles Keating’s conviction led to the ‘Keating Five’ political scandal, in which five US senators were implicated in an influence-peddling scheme to assist Keating.

Monicagate – The Monica Lewinsky scandal was a political sex scandal emerging from a short-term sexual relationship between US President Bill Clinton and a then 22-year-old White House intern. The news of this extra-marital affair and the resulting in�estigation e�entually led to the impeachment of Bill Clinton in 1998. Taxpayers ended up paying $40-million for Ken Starr’s investigation into the affair and President Clinton’s Whitewater real estate deals. (Compare that to the $15-million given to Kean-Zelikow Commission to in�estigate the 9/11 attacks which followed.) – Staff Report ▄

I was 8 years old when President John Kennedy was shot to death in Dallas in

1963. If grace favors me, I’ll be 62 when documents related to the assassination are released to the public, and 84 when the Warren Commission’s investigative files into the tragedy are finally opened.

That’s a long time to wait for a chance to evaluate the purported truth.

It’s a blot on the presumed sophisti-cation of the people of the United States that any aspect of an event so dramatic and shocking should be kept from us. Perhaps it’s true, to abuse the line from A Few Good Men yet again, that we can’t handle the truth. But there cannot be genuine resolution as long as such criti-cal information remains concealed.

Transformed by 9/11Since Kennedy’s assassination,

Americans have lurched between de-manding to know and plugging their ears: The Pentagon Papers, Mÿ Lai, the King assassination, Watergate, Iran-Contra, the savings-and-loan debacle, Monica-gate. Lately, however, it would seem the public’s verdict is in: Don’t tell us. Keep us in the dark. We don’t want to know.

This is the worst possible time for probe-ophobia to grip us. Our nation was irretrievably transformed by 9/11 – and yet there remain troubling questions about what really happened before, during and after that day. Rather than demanding a full and fearless vetting to home in on the truth and silence the conjecture about 9/11, many Americans remain unwilling to peer into the microscope.

An online cottage industry of theorists, theory debunkers and debunker debunkers has flourished since 9/11. Sometimes the flimsy theories are easy

to spot – come on, if the four passenger jets didn’t crash where it appears they did, where did they go? More often, though, the cases aren’t so obvious.

A group of experts and academi-cians “devoted to applying the prin-ciples of scientific reasoning to the available evidence, letting the chips fall where they may,” last week accused the government of covering up evidence that the three destroyed New York City buildings were brought down that day by controlled demolition rather than structural failure. The group, called Scholars for 9/11 Truth, has a website, www.st911.org. [See members p. 44.]

Unanswered QuestionsThe reflexive first reaction is incre-

dulity – how, one asks, could anyone even contemplate, never mind actually do, such a barbaric thing? But before you shut your mind, check the resumés – these aren’t Generation X geeks sub-sisting on potato chips and PlayStation. Then look at the case they present.

“I am a professional philosopher who has spent 35 years teaching logic, critical thinking and scientific reason-ing,’’ group cofounder and University of Minnesota professor James H. Fetzer told me. “When I come to 9/11, it’s not hard for me to determine what is going on. This is a scientific question. And it is so elementary that I don’t think you can find a single physicist who could disagree with the idea that this was a controlled demolition.’’

The group asks, for example:

• How did a fire fed by jet fuel, which at most burns at 1,700 de-grees Fahrenheit, cause the collapse of the Twin Towers, built of steel that melts at 2,800°? (Most experts

agree that the impact of airliners, made mostly of lightweight alumi-num, should not have been enough alone to cause structural failure.)

• How could a single planeload of burning jet fuel – most of which flared off in the initial fireball – cause the South World Trade Center tower to collapse in just 56 minutes?

• Why did building WTC 7 fall, though no aircraft struck it? Fire alone had never before caused a steel skyscraper to collapse.

• Why did all three buildings col-lapse largely into their own foot-prints – in the style of a controlled demolition?

• Why did no US military jet intercept the wayward aircraft?

• Why has there been no investi-gation of BBC reports that five [or six] of the alleged 9/11 hijackers were alive and accounted for after the event? (See p. 76.)

Our current probe-ophobia is due in part to the political landscape: When one party holds all the cards, any call to investigate an alleged abuse of power or cover-up – no matter how valid – will look like a partisan vendetta. Those in power never want to investigate themselves.

Maybe that’s politics – he who holds the hammer drives the nails. But the outrage of 9/11 transcends party af-filiation.

We need all the outstanding ques-tions answered – wherever the chips may fall.

Host: Andreas von Buelow (AvB) was a member of the German Parliament for 25 years. He served in the Cabinet of former Chancellor Helmut Schmidt and was the Minister for Research and Technology.

Andreas, thank you very much for joining us here this morning on The 9/11 Show. Could you give our listeners a sense of your background and of your work with the German Parliament?

AvB: I was in the German Parliament from 1969 to 1994. For four years I was Parliamentary Secretary for Defense and for two years Minister of Research and Technology. Before that I was on the committee which had to oversee the secret services.

Host: What was it that first led you to raise some questions about the official story about what happened in the events of September 11, 2001?

AvB: I have written a book about the techniques of the CIA running covert foreign-policy, which should normally not be known by the government and by the population, in all the countries which are important for the United States. I spent a lot of attention on the dealings of secret services and when 9/11 happened with these horrible pictures that came out, I thought, to whom does this bring any opportunity? My first answer was especially not for the Muslim world. I just observed what was going on and said that it was nearly impossible for such young guys looking as they did, to be able to steer these air machines directly into targets like the two towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

So I observed everything that hap-pened and said that finally the American government had to clear up the whole criminal case. But instead of this came secrecy and not being able to tell what was really going on. For example, not finding the black boxes; not finding the voice recorders; not showing the video-tape of these 19 so-called suicide terror-ists entering the aircraft, and so on.

Then you might remember with this picture of those horrible aircraft flying into the towers and with all the tragedy you could imagine there behind all this, that there was also broadcast this pic-ture of all these laughing Palestinians. Over the next weeks I sought to find the background of these laughing Palestin-ians. I found out that the Israeli news-paper Haaretz reported that the Vice Buergermaster of Jerusalem and the Israeli Defense Minister were visiting and giving out sweeties in the market-place and there was laughter all around. But this type of picture was taken from then and immediately injected into the broadcasting around the world of the 9/11 images, which irritated me.

Then finally I found a lot of things which are not clear and hint that a secret service operation might perhaps be behind this.

Host: Are you insinuating that perhaps the events of 9/11 may not in fact have been done by 19 hijackers, but were a covert operation of the CIA or some similar organization?

AvB: Yes, that is one of the options of how to get clarity on the whole process. One option is the one the Bush administration is telling everybody: that it was a strike out of the blue, we didn’t know anything beforehand. But then within minutes they have a list of terrorists and said it was al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

The second option is they can say, “Well, we had a lot of information about this but unfortunately some was with the CIA, the other was with the FBI, and they couldn’t come together because they have turf fights against each other. It wasn’t negligence in organization but these things can happen.”

The third option would be that somebody said, “Well, let it happen, it helps us to organize the world. After all, we are the only superpower left after the Soviet Union breakdown.”

And the fourth option is that it was a covert operation. The 19 were there, they were prepared to take the blame, but they were not the real organizers of this thing.

But now you have to look at the evidence and you have to find out what evidence is clear, what is unfakeable and what evidence you can manipulate. The interesting thing is that all the hard facts are taken out of the picture. For example, the steel cannot any longer be analyzed. The engineers looking at this were upset about the handling of this. It was all recycled into Japanese and Chi-nese steel, and so on.

They can’t produce videotapes. You don’t find any Arab names on the passenger lists of all four aircraft. And everybody asks, what was the back-ground? For example, I think in 67 cases before 9/11 when something went wrong with the Federal Aviation Agen-cy’s dealings with pilots and aircraft, immediately fighter aircraft went up and found out what was going on and forced the pilots down to the airports. But on 9/11, four times the same procedure was not observed and no-one can give an ex-planation for that.

Host: You’re making some very strong allegations here with respect to the intelligence communities. … What evidence have you been able to bring into the research?

AvB: Well I don’t have evidence, I have questions. If I were an American I would ask my government, as indeed the relatives of those who died in New York are asking, how could this happen? And these questions are not being answered. So these are not only my questions.

S peaking to The Alex Jones Radio Show on the GCN Radio Network, Von Buelow said that “the official story is so wrong, it must be an inside job.”

Von Buelow discussed the special software programs that allow the CIA to track suspicious stock market movements in real time. Record put options placed on United and American Airlines in the week before 9/11, a speculation that the stock would crash, clearly indicated inside foreknowledge of the impending attack.

“If the stock market has very strange movements imme-diately they take care of this and they had a lot of tapes and the lawyers told the people to destroy these tapes.”

“The Bush admin-istration is in a deep defensive [mode] and probably they would like to come out with a new offensive,” said Von Buelow as he considered whether a new staged false flag terror attack could be launched to further an interventionist agenda.

“I would hope that one ‘new Pearl Harbor’ is enough,” said Von Buelow, “but I cannot be sure.”

Von Buelow commented on the disputed identities of the named hijackers.

“The names of these nineteen [hijackers] never came up in the official passenger list, until now there’s no proof they were on the planes.”

Von Buelow also pointed out how the alleged hijackers’ flight instructors told investigators that they couldn’t even fly Cessnas, never mind complex large commercial airliners.

Von Buelow also touched upon the implausible collapse of the buildings.

“The towers came down in the velocity of free fall which is totally impossible, they fall down in 8, 9, or 10 seconds, the pancake theory is ridiculous,” he said.

Von Buelow also highlighted the fact that there were 67 successful intercepts of errant aircraft in the year of 2001 be-fore 9/11 and yet four planes were allowed to veer wildly off course without any being intercepted on that one day.

Mayor Rudy Giuliani opened a $13 million Emergen-cy Command Center (pictured) on the 23rd floor of World Trade Center Building 7 in June 1999 in part to respond to and manage terrorist attacks.

Von Buelow referenced the command bunker in WTC 7, calling it the ‘optimal place’ to run the attacks using remote control technology to guide the planes in and then destroying the crime scene by imploding the building.

“There were two procedures, one was flying in the aircraft the second was the explosions,” he said.

When asked precisely which parties carried out the attack Von Buelow said it must have been a “very small group” within the CIA with the help of Saudi Arabian and Pakistani secret service.

Von Buelow outlined his view that one reason for the execution of 9/11 was to provide the justification for US military bases in the near and Middle East to be built in an-ticipation for a future confrontation with China, whom the neo-cons believe have grown too powerful and need to have their geopolitical wings clipped.

F or many Americans, there is a deep psychologi-cal desire for the 9/11 tragedy to be over. The shock of the day is well remembered and ter-

rorist alerts from Homeland Security serve to maintain last-ing tensions and fears. The 9/11 Commission Report gave many a sense of partial healing and completion – especially given the corporate media’s high praise of the report. There is a natural resistance to naysayers who continue to ques-tion the US government’s version of what happened on September 11th, 2001. This resistance is rooted in our ten-dency toward the inability to conceive of people we know as evil; instead evil ones must be others, very unlike ourselves.

We all remember, as young children, scary locations that created deep fears. We might imagine monsters in the closet, dangers in a nighttime backyard, and creepy people in some abandoned house down the street. As we get older we build up the courage to open the closet, or walk out into the backyard to smell the night air. As adults there are still dark closets in our socio-cultural consciousness that make it difficult to even consider the possibility of certain ideas. These fearful ideas might be described as threshold concepts, in that they may be on the borders of discoverability, yet we deny even the potentiality of implied veracity – something is so evil it is completely unimaginable.

A threshold concept facing Americans is the possibility that The 9/11 Commission Report was on many levels a cover-up for the failure of the US government to prevent the tragedy. Deeper past the threshold is the idea that the report failed to address sources of assistance to the terrorists. Investigations into this area might have led to a conclusion that elements of various governments – including our own – not only knew about the attacks in advance, but may have helped facilitate their implementation. The idea that someone in the government of the United States may have contributed support to such a horrific attack is inconceivable to many. It is a threshold concept that is so frightening that it brings up a state of mind akin to complete unbelievability.

Philosophy/Religion professor David Ray Griffin has recently published his findings on the omissions and distor-tions of The 9/11 Commission Report. Griffin notes that the 9/11 Commission failed to discuss most of the evidence that seems to contradict the ‘official story’ about 9/11 – for exam-ple, the report by Attorney David Schippers that states that some FBI agents who contacted him had information about attacks several weeks prior to 9/11, along with evidence that several of the alleged hijackers are still alive. Griffin’s book brings into question the completeness and authenticity of the 9/11 Commission’s work. Griffin questions why extensive advanced warnings from several countries were not acted upon by the administration, how a major institutional inves-tor knew to buy put-options on American and United Air-lines before the attack, and how an inexperienced terrorist

pilot could have con-ducted a complicated descent into an unoc-cupied section of the Pentagon.

Additionally, Grif-fin notes questions re-main on why the 9/11 Commission failed to address the reports that $100,000 was wired to Mohamed Atta from Saeed Sheikh, an agent for Pakistan’s In-ter-Service Intelligence (ISI), under the direction of the head of ISI General Mahmoud Ahmad. General Ahmad resigned his position less than one month later. The Times of India reported that Indian intelligence had given US officials evidence of the money transfer ordered by Ahmad and that he was dismissed after the “US authorities sought his removal.”

Also, The 9/11 Commission Report failed to address the reasons for the collapse of World Trade Center (WTC) Building 7 more than six hours after the attack. WTC 7 was a 47-storey, steel frame building that had only small fires on a few floors. WTC buildings 5 & 6 had much larger fires and did not collapse. This has led a number of critics to speculate that WTC 7 was a planned demolition.

Overall concerns with the official version of 9/11 have been published and discussed by scholars and politicians around the world including: Jim Marrs, Nafeez Ahmed, Mi-chael Ruppert, Cynthia McKinney, Barrie Zwicker, Webster Tarpley, Michel Chossudovsky, Paul Thompson, Eric Hufschmid and many others (see: http://www.911forthetruth.com). The response to most has been to label these discus-sions as ‘conspiracy theories’ unworthy of media coverage or further review. Pursuit of a critical analysis of these ques-tions is undermined by the psychological barrier about 9/11 issues as threshold concepts – too awful to even consider.

We may be on the borders of discovery regarding the possibility of a great evil within our own government, and perhaps others outside as well. We must step past the threshold and have the courage to ask the questions, demand answers, and support research into all aspects of this American tragedy. Perhaps the closet isn’t as dark and as fearful as we envision. If we don’t courageously look and search into the deepest regions of our fears, how can we assure our children and ourselves a safe and honest future?
