Metrologists who are working on R&D and services relating to the technical areas of
temperature and humidity measurement
Theme: Metrology in Length and Thermometry and Humidity (TH)
Dates: June 9 - 20, 2014
Organized by: Global Metrology Academy (GMA), KRISS
The GMA group course has been organized to meet the needs of metrology HRD of the organizations who are responsible for
metrology and related functions of national quality infrastructure of the nation. The course [GMA-GT-2014-03] is the third one
scheduled to be offered in 2014. Its main theme is metrology in Thermometry and Humidity (TH), the elements of which
comprise Mise en Pratique of Kelvin, SPRT thermometry, TWP, realization of fixed-points, radiation thermometry, calibration of
thermometers, humidity standards, humidity measurement and sensors, moisture measurement, calibration of hygrometers,
uncertainty evaluation, etc. It covers the concepts of the traceability and measurement standards in the fields of temperature
and humidity measurement and their practical applications in offering measurement services on site.
With the view to yielding as much benefit as possible for participants, each session is strategically designed that technical
lectures are effectively combined with hands-on practices to follow. By the end of the course, participants will be able to obtain
knowledge, skills, and information as up to dated on the key elements of LDM. In addition, participants will be given a chance
to deepen and renew their knowledge and understanding on selected subjects of metrology in general (MiG), such as: national
standards system - quality infrastructure, QMS, traceability and measurement uncertainty.
Venue: Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), Daejeon, Korea
