“Virtual” coupling-drawbar system

the MoDULette® is operated by means of the so-called “virtual” coupling drawbar system.

normally, the trailer is pulled using the coupling of the towing trolley over the drawbar of the trailer. to improve the running gear geometry of several linked trailers these conditions are vice-versa in the “virtual“ system, i.e. the coupling of the MoDULette® is connected to the drawbar of the towing vehicle.

this provides an enhanced follow-up movement of the trailer and allows manoeuvring around tight corners.

Coupling the MODULette® to a tractor

Before commencing with towing operations, check whether the MoDULette® meets the following requirements:

the base is firmly fixed the running gear is in working order the lockable swivel castors are latched into place the locking system has been released

take the drawbar and insert it into the coupling on theMoDULette®.
