Following the JETSET Seminar held in Belgrade on 29th January, organised by GLOBAL

INPUT – LCCI IQ Reps, we would like to thank all the participants for their active

participation as well as for sharing their experience with their colleagues.

The seminar was attended by 40 teachers and directors of studies coming from LCCI

registered centres in Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Serbia. It was an opportunity

to listen to brilliant presentations of Caroline Treitel (JETSET examiner) and Gary Marston

(Qualifications Executive) as well as to raise awareness of new developments within the

extensive range of LCCI International Qualifications: JETSET Level 7 (CEF C2) ESOL

Qualification. The GLOBAL INPUT staff, Daniele Piacenti (Executive Manager) and Snezana

Mitrovic (Didactical Manager) were also present.

Special thanks to Boris Kircanski, who, on behalf of PROVIDA FUTURI, presented their

online application for JETSET practice tests and offered all the LCCI registered centres to

use it free of charge.

We will continue to organise training and seminars for LCCI registered centres and we do

hope to see you at such an event in the future!

JETSET Seminar in Belgrade

We are pleased to announce that EDI has extended its JETSET range of English Language

qualifications to include a Common European Framework (CEF) level C2 equivalent exam -

JETSET Level 7. The syllabus and practice papers are available on the LCCI IQ website and

the first exam will be taken in one of our centres in Rome, Dream in English at the

beginning of April!

Examination Availability

As a result of feedback from our centres around the world, our examination availability

has been reviewed to improve our level of provision and make LCCI International

Qualifications more accessible. Effective 1st January 2011, the following qualifications will

be available in all three world Series as well as On Demand:

• Level 1 Book-keeping, Level 2 Book-keeping and Accounts, Level 3 Accounting (IAS)

• Level 1 - 3 English for Business

• Level 2 &3 Business Statistics

• Level 2 Business Calculations and Level 3 Advanced Business Calculations

• Level 2 & 3 Marketing

• Level 2 &3 Text Production

• Level 2 & 3Business Administration

• Level 3 Advertising

• Level 3 Accounting, Level 3 Cost Accounting, Level 3 Management Accounting

• Level 3 Public Relations

• Level 3 Selling & Sales Management

All other qualifications will be available On Demand only.

MEET OUR CENTRE: ALLIANCE (Sofia, Bulgaria)

Three language schools: in Belgrade (Serbia), Sofia (Bulgaria) and Križevci (Croatia) have at

least one thing in common: all three have been very successful in preparing candidates for

JETSET exams! Meet the three registered LCCI centres!

MEET OUR CENTRE: NIKA School of Foreign Languages (Križevci, Croatia)

Foreign language school "NIKA" was founded in

1992 as the first foreign language school in Križevci.

The school offers English, German, French, Italian,

Spanish and Russian language courses administered

by professional teaching staff. All teachers regularly

attend professional courses, conferences, seminars

and study visits. Age groups vary from kindergarten

courses for three-year-olds to adult courses, and

course levels are in line with the standards defined

by the Council of Europe. Their students have the

opportunity to attend summer courses abroad, as

well as participate in various educational trips and workshops.

"NIKA" has also been organizing numerous humanitarian fund raising activities. Since the

very beginnings, classes have been administered in a

friendly atmosphere with an individual approach to each

student and their needs. Many of them have won first

prizes in various competitions, hold internationally

recognized language certificates and some of them have

even become our colleagues, which makes us extremely

proud and happy. From 1998 to the present day "NIKA"

has also been an examination centre for the English

language JETSET exams.

Alliance is the oldest language centre in the country. It was founded back in 1929 and for

80 years now it has been playing a leading role in the cultural and spiritual life of the

citizens of Sofia. Alliance has been and continues to be at the cutting edge of foreign

language teaching in Bulgaria and is known for its fast expansion, innovative spirit and

client-oriented policy, teaching over 3500 children and adults per year.

MEET OUR CENTRE: ST. NICOLAS (Belgrade, Serbia)

Alliance offers short-term and-long term courses in English, French, German, Italian,

Spanish and Russian in accordance with the standards of the Common European

Framework of Reference for Languages. Alliance is the only language centre that organizes

courses for children from preschool age to 11th grade.

In their evening courses they offer various modules

depending on the needs of their clients – standard,

intensive, specialized, business courses as well as

preparation courses for internationally recognized

exams. Alliance is a registered exam centre of Goethe

Institute and EDI – LCCI.

Alliance is situated in one of the most beautiful parts

of Sofia, right next to the well-known Aleksander

Nevsky Cathedral.

This foreign language centre was

founded in 1999 aiming to provide an

easy and effective way of foreign

language learning for a large number

and different profiles of people.

Thir long and relevant experience in this area of education, high level of pedagogical

approach and enthusiasm of all their teachers as well as the usae of modern educational

methods are guarantees of success for their students. Pleasant atmosphere in their

schools, polite staff and interaction with other students are additional contribution to

efficient and successful language learning.

St. Nicolas’s educational programme is based on the world standards and they apply the

latest innovations from the area of teaching and the programmes of the most prestigious

foreign centres.

Their main goal is to maintain high quality level and to satisfy the needs of their

students.

Working in small groups (3-8 students), each individual is privileged to have a fully

committed teacher as well as to participate actively in class. In order to make it easier for

their clients to reach their aim and acquire the ability to communicate they offer flexible

terms for their lectures and possibility of making any kind of arrangement.

Spoken English for Tourism Examination Procedure

Please be advised that new Spoken English for Tourism Level 1 and Level 2 examination

procedure will become effective from 1st April 2011. The recorder should run without

pause from Part 1 Warm Up to the end of Part 2 Role Play. For more details please view

We are happy to announce that

the final round of the

Kangourou Competition in

English will be held on 13th -

14th May in Mirabilandia, the

biggest fun park in Italy.

1572 candidates participated in

Round 2, which was held on 14th and 15th April. The best 140

candidates will participate in the final round and also have a

chance to enjoy Mirabilandia.
