MH&A attended by 200 patients

by 305 patients; 95 glucometers provided to patients

GOAL: Deliver on partners needs and Osler’s interests
through service delivery, training and education
The Tour team is tasked with:
• Deepen engagement with partners

• Understanding local context (healthcare delivery, challenges
and needs) to provide appropriate training and

Tour Team Composition & Positions
• 1 Senior Leader (pre-selected)
• 1 Physician or Nurse from any department
• 1 Physician with Emergency Medicine experience
• 1 Nurse with Emergency Medicine experience
• 1 Physician with Mental Health & Addictions experience
• 1 Nurse with Mental Health & Addictions experience
• 1 Social Worker with Mental Health & Addictions experience
• 1 Tour Coordinator (open only to non-clinical staff with communications
experience)
Goal: At least 50%
of team comprised
of front-line staff
Who should apply?
Tour Members, must be:
• Able to travel to India and Pakistan from March 23rd – April 7th, 2017
(approx. 35C)
• Able to share learnings and insights obtained during the tour across the
organization and our community (via presentations or media interviews)
• Able to fulfill role of Global Health Ambassador, championing global health
and health equity at Osler
• Able to adapt to new cultures and environments
• Have experience in the area of expertise and demonstrated achievements
• Sponsored by a member of Osler’s leadership team
• In good standing with governing college and Osler
• Comfortable using online communication technologies (e-mail, Skype and
web chat) and participating in video blogs
• Eligible for Visa requirements in India and Pakistan

resume, sponsor endorsement letter

• All successful candidates complete briefing and meetings

Financing & Time Away From Work
All costs are covered (e.g. flight, ground transportation,
accommodation, food, and Visa, covered) with exception of
personal purchases; all existing Osler policies apply
Coverage for time away from work:
Staff:
• All attempts to ensure no loss of regular pay
Physicians:
• Unpaid time off (e.g. mini-sabbatical)
• Investigate CME credits for physicians
