Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) is the voiceof Canada’s wood, pulp, and paper producers nationallyand internationally in government, trade, andenvironmental affairs. Canada’s forest industry represents3 percent of Canada’s GDP and exports $40 billion ofwood, pulp and paper annually. The industry is one ofCanada’s largest employers, operating in over 1,200Canadian communities and providing over 900,000 directand indirect jobs across the country.
The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA)is the national trade association of the forest, pulp, paper,paperboard and wood products industry. AF&PA’s membersinclude manufacturers of over 80 percent of the paper,wood and forest products produced in the United States.
The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) is anon-profit organization representing 19 member countries(16 European Union Member States plus Norway,Switzerland and the Slovak Republic, an associatemember). CEPI represents some 900 pulp, paper andboard-producing companies from across Europe throughmember countries.
The main goal of The International Council of Forest andPaper Associations (ICFPA) is to serve as a forum for jointaction in areas ranging from communications to datacollection. ICFPA’s membership includes trade associationsin 43 countries representing industries accounting for morethan 90 percent of the world’s paper and more than 50percent of the world’s wood production.
