Roominess and Simply Clever Features

ŠKODA has an umbrella compartment in both front doors. The compartments are

made of water-resistant material to prevent any moisture leaking into the vehicle.

The compartments are also designed to drain any water outside the car.

Electrically-controlled 5th Door opens and closes automatically without

you having to touch it – especially handy in unfavorable weather. Just swipe

your foot underneath and it will open. You may also adjust the upper door

position to suit your needs.

Even though the individual ŠKODA models belong to various car classes, they all have something

in common. In their categories they all off er unmatched roominess.

Sophisticated concepts and solutions implemented by our engineers bring all our customers maximum

comfort, exceptional room for luggage and practicality for business and leisure.

Green Ice Scraper, mounted on the fuel cap, is within reach if you need it and it‘s

no problem to place it there when wet. Another simply clever solution is protection

against incorrect fuel fi lling, designed for cars with diesel engine.

Removable LED Flashlight on the left side of the luggage compartment, which

recharges automatically when the engine is running, is equipped with a magnet

so it can be easily mounted on the car’s body.

Plastic Protectors on all four side doors prevent scratches to the paintwork

of your car and the vehicles next to you. You’ll appreciate this effi cient solution

in tight parking spaces.

If You Need More Room for Your Luggage you can easily fold any or all of the

rear seats. Increase the variability of the luggage compartment and prevent

movement of the transported items with the net program. The top up for roominess

is the Jumbo box practical storage compartment located in the adjustable armrest

between the front seats. It is easily accessible and has a tablet holder.

Multi-function Camera is one of numerous comfort functions providing tangible

added value to customers. It is located in the rear-view mirror and enables the Lane

Assist, Travel Assist and Traffi c Sign Recognition functions and the light systems.

When Long Becomes too LongThe drive alert sensor tracks how long you have been on the road. It also monitors

the driver’s behavior and assesses the degree of fatigue and, if necessary, warns

of the need for a break and rest.

Safety and Assistance TechnologiesThe term safety has a broad meaning in connection with cars. It can mean both

a strong body, excellent driving characteristics or many other features and

accessories that in some way enhance the safety of the crew

Blind Spot DetectorSensors on the rear bumper monitor movement behind the vehicle and give

a warning about cars in the blind spot when the driver intends to move from

one lane to another.

Multicollision BrakeIf the car is involved in a traffi c accident, this safety feature activates the braking

system. It brings the vehicle to a standstill and prevents the damage from piling up.

Car Takes Over When You Can’tIf no steering wheel movement or other driver activity is detected for a defi ned

period of time, a warning signal sounds. If the driver fails to react, the system

initiates a brief swerve. If there is still no reaction from the driver, the vehicle

is automatically brought to a complete standstill, while the hazard lights are

automatically activated.

Crew Protect AssistThis system combines multiple features to minimize the consequences of critical

situations. In case of loss of driving stability, the system automatically closes

the windows and tightens the seatbelts. The system cooperates with the adaptive

cruise control and the frontal sensors.

Area ViewWant to know exactly what’s happening around the car? The Area View system

monitors the space around the car with cameras with wide-angle lenses

and displays them on an onboard monitor.

Front AssistIs a sensor-based security system which constantly monitors the space in front

of the car. If the distance from a vehicle in front reduces too much, the system

automatically initiates a visual or acoustic warning. When there is a danger

of collision, the system applies the brakes.

Speed LimiterIs a function which prevents a previously set speed being exceeded and also

recognizes road signs. For security reasons this function is temporarily switched

off when the gas pedal hits the fl oor.

Travel AssistThis helper uses co-operation between the multifunctional camera and the

navigation system to recognise and display on the Maxi DOT and navigation

displays certain traffi c signs.

Park AssistMinimise the hassle of parking in tight spots with Park Assist. It automatically

selects an appropriate parking place in a row of parallel or perpendicularly

parked vehicles. During parallel parking, it only needs a space 80 cm longer

than the car itself.

Traffi c Jam AssistThe function is designed to facilitate the driving of DSG-equipped vehicles

in traffi c jams. By controlling the engine, brakes and steering, it makes the vehicle

pull away, brake and turn to copy the movement of the surrounding vehicles

(at speeds of up to 60 km/h).

Rear Traffi c AlertThis assistant, which comes as part of the Blind Spot Detect system and uses

the same radar sensors, helps you reverse safely from a parking space during poor

visibility. It can even engage the brakes automatically if it detects an imminent

danger.

Manoeuvre AssistUsing the sensors of the Park Assist this system off ers protection from obstacles

within driving distance of the car (at speeds of up to 10 km/h), both when reversing

and when driving forward. If an obstacle is detected, based on the distance from

the obstacle and the car’s speed, the system initiates the emergency brakes.

Adaptive Cruise ControlUsing a radar device in the front grille, in addition to its basic cruise control

function, this assistant system maintains a safe distance from vehicles in front

of you.

Auto Light AssistYour Light Assist will switch to high beam and back automatically, increasing

comfort and safety in traffi c.

Comfort and Connectivity

Dynamic Chassis ControlDynamic Chassis Control provides a more dynamic driving experience. It makes

it possible to adapt the steering and the suspension depending on whether

the Comfort, Normal or Sport mode has been selected.

ŠKODA ConnectŠKODA Connect consists of three service packages. The Infotainment Online package

delivers completely new information and navigation services, while the Care Connect

package lets you control certain vehicle functions with your smartphone (Remote

Access) and provides a connection to the service partner of your choice (Proactive

Service). The third service, an integral part of ŠKODA Connect, is the Emergency Call.

Emergency CallThe connectivity includes a dedicated SOS line. This emergency system is activated

by pushing a red button located on the roof above the front seats. In case of a crash,

the emergency call is made automatically.

Phone BoxThis practical phone compartment, located in front of the gear stick, creates

an amplifi ed signal for your mobile device. At the same time, it wirelessly charges

your phone while driving.

MyŠKODA AppMeet Paul, the interactive assistant of the MyŠKODA App (for Android or iOS

systems) who can be helpful in a variety of daily situations. For example, you can use

him to access information about your car or for a complete description of meaning

of each indicator lamp, etc. What’s more, Paul can also keep an eye on the dates from

your planner. Not only will you never forget a meeting, but your assistant will also

advise you on how to get there.

COLUMBUS systemCOLUMBUS system off ers a 3D navigation system which can be used when

connected to high-speed LTE internet. Apart from the standard equipment of a touch

color display, SD slots, Wi-Fi and SSD, ŠKODA Media Command and a SIM slot can

also be installed optionally.

VarioFlex systemVarioFlex system in KAROQ consists of three separate seats, which can be

individually adjusted and the seats can also be completely removed – and the SUV

is then converted into a van with a maximum load capacity of 1,810 liters.

SmartLink+With the SmartLink+ system (ŠKODA Connectivity bundle supporting MirrorLink®,

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), the car’s infotainment system enables the driver

to safely use the phone while driving. Plus, all installed applications that are certifi ed

as safe for vehicles are compatible with MirrorLink®, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

The SmartLink+ system also includes the SmartGate function. It enables you

to connect your smartphone to the car via Wi-Fi to access interesting data about

your drive, like driving economy, driving dynamics or service information.*

The Extended layout, which features a large display in the middle that can show the

map, for example. To the left, right and above the map there is space for additional

customised information. This could be the current speed, a navigational display with

Seven markets and one winner: The new

ŠKODA KAROQ belongs to the most

valuable SUV vehicles in Europe in terms

of RV forecasts. Five independent studies

(Autovista, CAP, Audatex, Quattro Route

and DAT) valued the new ŠKODA SUV ahead

with its direct competition. The car to market

evaluation study covered Germany, Italy,

France, Spain, Poland, Great Britain and the

Czech Republic.

The Car to Market study of 7 mentioned

countries revealed that the future forecasted

residual value of the new ŠKODA KAROQ

would lie between 42% and 61% (after 3 years

and 90,000 km).

A further study in Great Britain from CAP

forecasted a residual value of 44.6%

(after 3 years and 90,000 km). The following

models were reviewed in the latest studies

next to the new ŠKODA KAROQ: Kia

Sportage, Hyundai Tuscon, VW Tiguan, Seat

Ateca, RenaultKadjar, Peugeot 3008, Nissan

Qashqai. The model constellation varied by

market, the result however, was always the

same.

The new KAROQ along with KODIAQ

and SUPERB are the winners in residual

value forecasts.
