Welcome to the 21st Annual Spring Fashion Fling to benefit the MS Center at Holy Name Medical Center. This afternoon, we’re raising funds, nourishing partnerships and embracing the multiple sclerosis community in higher numbers and with greater enthusiasm than ever before, during one of Holy Name’s most enjoyable events of the year.

Caring for 2,000 patients from throughout the NY/NJ metro area, Holy Name’s comprehensive MS Center is one of a select few multiple sclerosis centers in the region and the only facility in Bergen County affiliated with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Our full spectrum of services features dedicated neurological specialists, precision diagnosis, innovative treatment options including groundbreaking clinical trials, a wide variety of clinics, support and education. Partnerships with Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Hospital for Special Surgery and Johns Hopkins University give our patients access to today’s most promising research and therapies that can reduce the chances of relapse or progression.

Here’s a roundup of the year’s most notable achievements:

A $1 million gift from the Alfiero & Lucia Palestroni Foundation is providing support for direct patient care and critically important research.

The MS Center’s dedicated infusion suite was expanded and specialized staff added, enhancing the patient experience with greater efficiency and comfort.

The first therapy for progressive MS, Ocrevus – a trial in which Holy Name participated – won FDA approval.

The Center is offering increased social work support.

Yoga classes are provided through a collaboration with Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Together with our Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Center is working to develop an MS wellness program.
