As we enter into the Christmas Season we find Twenty-Seventeen rapidly drawing to a close and churches gearing up for the many ministry events uniquely available during this time. I want to encourage you
carve out the special moments to spend quality and quantity time with family and friends. More importantly, keep your focus on honoring Jesus Christ and celebrating the abundant life He has so richly bestowed on us all. As you retell the Christmas story this season take the opportunity to share not only about the birth of Jesus, but to present others with “the future and the hope” that only Jesus can give. Thank you so much for your continued interest, involve-ment, support and especially your prayers for your association. This past year presented its share of challenges, but together we experienced a wonderfully productive year and anticipate a host of new and exciting ministry opportu-nities just ahead. We rejoice that God has blessed us with an abundance of faithful churches, missions, pastors, staff, associational leaders, and the many volunteers who make our two associations some of the finest anywhere. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and an extraordinary New Year! May the Lord shine the light of His amazing love along every path you take in the coming year.
With Sympathy
Love and sympathy are extended to Kirk and Sherrie Albritton, Cody and Christina Albritton and family in the death of Kirk’s father and Cody’s great uncle, Troy Albritton. Sherrie serves as children’s minister at Fair Park, West Monroe. Cody serves as college pastor at North Monroe, Monroe.

Great progress is being made on University Avenue as the construction of the new BCM facility continues at a great pace. November has seen the enclosure of windows and brick work added to the outside of the building. It is an exciting time as BCM hopes for an early spring date of completion to move back home to a permanent location on campus. A great way you and your church can help is through the BCM memorial brick program. BCM is selling engraved stone pavers that will form the walkway from BCM front door to the sidewalk on University Avenue. These bricks will be engraved with individual or church names along with a personalized message (graduation year, Bible verse, etc.) Bricks are available for purchase for alumni, friends, churches, businesses, or anyone who would like to help pave the way for the next generation of Warhawks. Information can be found at: www.brickmakersusa.com/donors.bcm.hmtl or by contacting [email protected].
