Concert Glee has been diligently learning songs to perform for Kanoelani’s Winter Assembly. Music Enrichment students and Grades K-6 will showcase their winter performances and Concert Glee has the honor to close out both assemblies! To ensure a great performance from Concert Glee, we need every member to be at all rehearsals. Please allow your children to stay for the entire rehearsal time every Tuesday & Thursday 2:15-3:30pm.

There will be solo performances within one of the songs. Auditions for the solos will be on Thursday, 10.06.16 between 2:00pm-2:30pm. Solo performance rehearsal will be held Wednesday, 10.26.06 1:30-2:30 in P27.

*Assembly open only to students and school faculty due to limited space.

Greetings Glee Parents, It has been a great start of the year for Concert Glee! Time is going by so fast, that we only have two more months before our first performance at Kanoelani’s Winter Assembly. Your children have been invited to Concert Glee Google Classroom where they can access music resources for the songs that we are currently working on. If they are not able to access it online, a CD has been provided so they are able to practice as much as they can throughout the week and especially during Fall Break! Remember that practice makes permanent! A friendly reminder to parents to please join our “REMIND” app- so that I can better inform you of upcoming events, fundraisers, and other important info. “REMIND” is also the best way to notify me if your child will not be attending rehearsal. Please feel free to contact me for any questions regarding rehearsals and fundraisers, as well as any ideas you may have for Concert Glee! Papa John’s Pizza Card The Papa John’s Pizza Card is a Buy-One-Get-One Free deal. For every medium or large pizza purchased, customer will receive one pizza of equal or lesser value for free. Must present the pizza card to Papa John’s. A pizza card costs $10 and is valid for one year from first day/month of purchase. Each household needs only one card.

Kanoelani Concert Glee members each have a goal to sell a minimum of (3) cards. The card costs $10 each and the students profit $7 per card. Glee member who sells the most pizza cards will get a special prize! You may request for more cards from Mrs. Twinkle.

Each Glee member is responsible for the cards once they are distributed/received. Any lost cards will still need to be paid for. Glee members must turn in any unsold pizza cards and all funds by the deadline. Pizza Cards and/or monies will need to be turned in to Ms. Powell and/or Mrs. Twinkle by Thursday, October 27th at Glee Rehearsal in P27. All funds will go towards expenses for Concert Glee performances and fieldtrips. A portion of the funds will help cover the cost of Concert Glee t-shirts (Glee member will pay $5 towards t-shirt and funds will cover the difference – more info to follow).

Glee members interested in singing a solo for Winter Assembly will need to Audition! Audition is on Thu. 10.06.16 from 2:00-2:30pm in room P27.

October Rehearsal for soloists will be on Wed. 10.26.16 1:30-2:20pm in room P27.

NO SCHOOL!

Glee-ers please take time to practice your vocal parts over the break. Resources are available on Concert Glee Google Classroom (Class Code: 8s26waa) or CD (for those who requested).

Papa John’s Pizza Cards will be distributed to Glee members on Thu. 10.06.16. Each student will receive an envelope with 3 pizza cards and a fundraiser log.

All funds and any unsold cards must be turned in to Ms. Powell & Mrs. Twinkle no later than Thu. 10.27.17.

It is very important that your child be present at all rehearsals for the entire time. If your child will not be able to attend rehearsal please contact Mrs. Twinkle through Remind app or send a note prior to absent date.

If your child will miss more than 3 excused rehearsals and 2 unexcused rehearsals, she/he will be dismissed from Glee. Early releases will be considered as absent.
