GLEBE MATTERS
Working Hard in 2E
2E has been busy at work, planning and setting out
the ground work for our mural. Painting will begin
over the next few weeks!
In our numeracy groups, we have been practising
trading units when we do addition and subtraction.
We used the MAB blocks to help us see the trades we
were making.

Principal’s Message
I can’t believe we are half way through term 4 already. Christmas is coming everyone. Hold onto your hats.
Each week the teachers meet for some professional learning. Much of our focus this term has been on Formative Assessment. Formative Assessment refers to a wide variety of strategies teachers use to check how students are going during a lesson. Most of the professional learning sessions are run by our very own talented teachers here at Glebe PS. If you would like to know more about Formative Assessment Dylan Wiliam is an expert. Technology Day
Peer Support Week 6 – The Best Way to Play During Peer Support this week the children will be looking at how to play in a friendly way in order to maintain friends and build positive relationships. Through various activities children will discover the importance of taking turns and having consistent rules throughout a game. This week help your child practise these skills by encouraging them to play games with siblings, family or friends.
Thank you for putting together a great technology day Year 6!

Our Shared
Vision
To nurture confident,
capable, resilient
students who are
inquisitive about the
world and learn with
meaning and purpose.
Gymnastics Fun
Chinese Club
This term each class is participating in a Gymnastics program run by Got Game.
They are learning lots of new skills, and it’s great fun too.
This week’s Chinese Club had lots of fun. They are making
great progress learning Chinese, both in writing and speaking.
Chinese Club is held every Tuesday at lunch time, and anyone from years 1 to 6 is
welcome to join.

Important Information
Each week a call out for items that the Pantry needs will be listed in Glebe Matters and an invitation for people to donate. People can drop off items to Centipede between 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday's during term. The pantry will be open for access during Centipede opening hours. It's located near the sign in table in Centipede. People can either help themselves to items in the pantry or contact one of the Centipede staff who can put together a bag of items for you. THANK YOU!
Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day was on Sunday the 11th of November, so on Monday, some of the student leaders laid a wreath at our war memorial in memory of those who have suffered in war.
