Development of Ministry National Guard’s Strategy:

Development of the MNG Health Affairs’ Strategy:

This project aims to study and assess the current state of the MNG, define the strategic approach which includes the mission, vision and objectives and creating an operating model for the ministry for the coming years.

This project aims to design and operate an Enterprise Project Management Office that ensures compatibility with strategic objectives and projects governance.

2.0To maximize the benefit of the existing knowledge and make it the primary source for strengthening the Ministry of National Guard, we continue working as one team, sharing thoughts, and unifying our efforts. MNGDP team has worked on the following activities:

The Development Program team at the Ministry of National Guard has defined the scope of work for eight major projects related to the deep dives phase streams, three of these major projects fall under the Health Services stream. Each of these projects will study the gaps and design appropriate solutions aligned with the newly developed strategy.

The MNGHA Strategy Development Project team continues to conduct workshops aiming to review the project’s outputs and discussing the process of alignment with relevant government entities.

The Enterprise Project Management Office 'EPMO' team continues to work on the second phase (Design) of the project. The team is organizing workshops with employees and leaders of the Ministry of National Guard and Health Affairs with the aim of discussing the design of the operating model for the Enterprise Project Management Office. The team is also looking into international best practices to find the optimal design that is in line with the Ministry's needs.

Discussions continue in regards to the future Operating Model of the Ministry of National Guard

Various meetings are being held with stakeholders to present the executive summary of the current state and discuss the design of the Operating Model for Health Affairs at the Ministry of National Guard

After determining the deep dive streams and analyzing the gaps, preperations will be made to launch several projects:

The next streams of the program’s journey will be the launch of the deep dive streams. A total of six main streams emerged from the two strategy development projects of the Ministry of National Guard and Health Affairs, from which several projects known as "deep dive projects" will be launched, as shown in the chart below:

The deep dive streams are a set of paths that contain projects revolving around studying the current state in a detailed and

accurate manner and aiming to analyze improvement areas, understand the future design and find the best solutions to reach

the desired results.

4.0The Ministry of National Guard Development Program launches multiple initiatives in all regions of the Kingdom, which includes the following:

To ensure the involvement and participation of individuals within the Ministry of National Guard, MNGDP started by involving registrants in Himmatk. The Development Program organized 11 discussion sessions with the aim to get acquainted with registrants through the discussion of various key topics, to take their suggestions and to hear their thoughts on the areas of improvement within the Ministry. Attendance at the sessions reached 300 people with individuals attending in person and virtually.

The Development Program launches its virtual educational platform the "Digital Library":

In order to spread knowledge and participate in the development journey of all sectors of the Ministry of National Guard, the MNGDP launches its educational platform, the "Digital Library". It is a digital platform that contains the latest studies and research on aspects of development, in addition to readable and interactive materials such as: virtual webinars that involve the participation of a group of Saudi and foreign consulting companies.

It is worth noting that the Digital Library will soon launch its virtual webinars through the electronic platform "Zoom". The aim of the webinars is to raise awareness of the development and its journey in all sectors for all Ministry employees.
