Welcome to a time of Sabbath, rest, and renewal

Glade Matters Shared moments of information and inspiration about our church family

Prelude “Prelude in C Minor” Frederic Chopin

*Opening Hymn “There Is a Name I Love to Hear” #52

*Call to Worship from Psalm 126 L: When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. P: Our mouths were filled with laughter and our tongues with shouts of joy. L: It was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” P: The Lord restored our fortunes, and we rejoiced. L: May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy. P: Those who go out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home

with shouts of joy, carrying their sheaves.

*Opening Prayer (Offered by all) Loving God, we gather here to worship you and to recall the great things you have done for your children. We are aware of times we have cried out to you through our tears and times we have praised you with shouts of joy. We know that you are with us in both and always will be. Amen.

Scripture Readings: Jeremiah 31:7-9; Hebrews 7:23-28; Mark 10:46-52 L: The Word of God, for the people of God. P: Thanks be to God!

Sermon “Let Me See Again” Rev. Amy Dows

*Hymn “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior” #551

The Prayer Jesus taught us Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*Doxology

*Prayer of Dedication Generous God, We know that we have been blessed by your hand and we return to you now only a portion of what you have given. Help us to see the ways you would have us use these gifts to the glory of your holy name. Amen.

*Closing Hymn “I’m So Glad, Jesus Lifted Me” #474

* Benediction

Postlude “Praeludium in E Major” Vincent Lübeck

*Please stand as able in body or spirit
