Abstract

The main objective Know the glacier area loss using hydrological and remote sensing techniques in order to determine their influence on water yield of the basin of the river Quellcayhuanca using space remote sensing techniques , and evaluate specific year average rainfall and hydrological characteristics , wet and dry Quellcayhuanca river subbasin. Evaluate losses glacier area through GIS and Remote Sensing techniques in order to determine the evolution and glacier retreat rate and determine the water intake for loss of glacier area using hydrological techniques. Method was applied GIS, Index Normalized Difference Snow and regional hydrology yielded information glacial losses. We determined the evolution of the snow in the period 1987 to 2012, finding that the loss of snow in this period is 11.80 km2, representing a loss of 0.50km2/año The flow performance variation by snow for dry years 2.2m3/seg averages.
