Giving and Earning Respect

Starter Who do you think deserves respect? Why?

Who Do You Respect? You will be identifying the people you respect

and giving reasons why you respect them.

What Does It Mean? As a class, you will be exploring the concepts

of respect and self-respect.

This One Says “Me” You will be decorating your name on a piece

of paper with designs of personal traits that you think make you worthy of respect.

Conclusion Respect can be earned. If you know what traits you respect in other

people, you know what traits you need to demonstrate in order to respect yourself.

People who respect themselves often find that others respect them, too, for the same reasons.
