Benefits of Assessments

Here at Snyder PLC, we progress monitor through the use of assessments. The

word “assessment” might sound a bit intense for early childhood education,

however, they are a very important tool in many ways. One of the most

important reasons we assess is to help guide teacher planning. Assessments in

early childhood support the ability to provide individualized and “just right”

activities for students across areas of development that research has shown are

important for later academic learning and life-long success. The next benefit of

assessments is that they help teachers communicate important milestones in

students’ development to families and provides opportunity for teachers and

parents to work together to support children as they grow. Online, there are

several articles on the importance of assessments and the reasons they are used.

Upcoming Events/Policy Changes

We have many activities planned for the Holiday season. Some Holiday activities

that we are looking forward to include our Thanksgiving Feast, a canned good

drive, a field trip to the local food bank, Polar Express on campus, field trip to

sing at a nursing home and much more! Specific information on each of these

events will be announced soon.

Beginning in Summer of 2019, we will no longer offer part time programs. We

will be a full time only facility. Please note that this change will not take effect

until SUMMER of 2019.

Drop off/ Pick up Policies

It is unlawful to; park under the portico at any time during our operating hours. It is

a child care law that there should be no idling cars and it is also a federal fire safety

law. There are designated parking spots for your use and that is where you should

park anytime you drop off or pick up your child. Parents, please be mindful that we

are a Christian facility and loud music coming from your car can be offensive to other

families and their children. We will have several signs posted around the facility

with reminders of these policies within the upcoming week.
