Be inspired, get connected and be part of something greater! Our All Kids Swim program serves children

ages 5-12. Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of death for children ages 1-14 in the U.S. (Safe kids

Pima County). In response, the Y is offering All Kids Swim, a free drowning prevention program. Last

year, more than 5,000 children learned valuable water safety and swim skills at the Y. The YMCA has

been teaching children to swim for over 100 years.

We need your support to provide children valuable water safety lessons!

“All Kids Swim helps keep kids safe in the water. I have three kids close

in age and it has been extremely difficult for me to take one-on-one

time to teach them to swim. The YMCA provided the swimming lessons

necessary to teach all three of my kids to swim! Than you for your help

I’m going to sign up for a membership to the YMCA

HEALTH INNOVATION AT THE Y

Y Diabetes Prevention Program The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps overweight adults reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by taking steps to improve their overall health and well-being. The 12- month program is offered in a supportive classroom environment where participants work together to learn about eating healthfully, reducing their body weight by 7% and adding up to 150 minutes of physical activity to each week. It can be offered in any community location as long as participants meet qualification criteria.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA is a small-group program that helps adult cancer survivors reclaim their health and well-being following a cancer diagnosis. Through this program YMCAs are creating communities among cancer survivors and guiding them through safe physical activity, helping them build supportive relationships, and reducing stress – leading to an improved quality of life.

Enhance Fitness Enhance Fitness is an evidence-based group exercise program for older adults that uses simple, easy-to-learn movements that motivate individuals (particularly those with arthritis) to stay active throughout their life. Each class session includes cardiovascular, strength training, balance, and flexibility exercises and the fostering of strong social relationships between participants.

STEWARDS OF CHILDREN

JOIN THE MOVEMENT TO END CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE! The Y and the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona

started a movement of epic proportions. One with a vision to end one of the most devastating epidemics

facing children today - child sexual abuse. One in 10 children will face this traumatic experience that

steals their innocence, usually alone, without any adult help. Studies show that training 5% of a

community in the awareness and prevention of child sexual abuse can move the needle on the epidemic.

With your help, we can do just that and train 50,000 southern Arizonans in the next five years!
