SUBSIDIARY CONFIGURATIONNAVIGATION GIS ADMIN: SETUP.INTERCOMPANY.SUBSIDIARIES
Getty Images will need at least one subsidiary for each legal entity that will perform inter-company
accounting. A subsidiary is associated with one balancing segment value or Company. There will be eightsubsidiaries created initially US, Seattle, Photographers, Inc, Canada, UK, France and Germany.
A subsidiary with parent privileges can review and approve transactions for any subsidiary. If this box is notcheck, the subsidiary can only review and approve its own transactions. The US and Inc subsidiaries will begiven the parent privileges. Only subsidiaries with parent privileges can run the program to delete oldapproved and transferred inter-company transactions.
Access Partner Lines allows a subsidiary to view its own as well as the Receivers transaction lines.
The following table identifies the appropriate configurations for each of the subsidiaries created in theOctober 2001 Oracle application rollout project. In future releases similar entries will need to be created fornew subsidiaries.

INTERCOMPANY TRANSACTION TYPES
Intercompany Rev Split
NAVIGATION GIS ADMIN: SETUP.INTERCOMPANY.TRANSACTION TYPES
Transaction types are required before you can enter intercompany transactions in GIS. Allow Auto-Approvecheck box allows transactions of this type to be approved automatically if the subsidiary also allows auto-approval. The Allow Interest Accrual, Allow Invoicing, and VAT Taxable options are not yet available.
Three transaction types will be configured initially, Inter-company Rev Split to be used exclusively for Inter-company Revenue transactions, Long Term to be used for the rare long term inter-company transaction, and Other to be used for all other inter-company transactions.
Transaction types are shared among all the subsidiaries so only need to be setup once.

If you this isnt done, the ICA process will fail.

CROSS-VALIDATION RULESNAVIGATION GL USER: SETUP.FINANCIAL.FLEXFIELDS.KEY.RULES
Sales and Cost of Sales figures would be misrepresented if a Brand were attached to Intercompany sales
and cost of sales transactions. Therefore, the cross validation rules need to be modified to allow for ONLY a000 - NULL Brand value to be assigned to all Intercompany sales and cost of sales transactions. Rule GL03will need to be modified as displayed below.
An additional rule will need to be created to limit the brand available for Intercompany Sales and COGS.
