“Thirty-One Gifts, through our charitable program, Thirty-One

Gives, is proud to have a fully integrated partnership with Girl

Talk since 2012. Together we share a mission to nurture and

support girls to become strong, confident leaders. Through

Girl Talk, we’ve been able to build a customized partnership to

invest in girls to reach their full potential.

We’ve found their peer-to-peer mentorship model to be unique

among nonprofit organizations serving girls, and a proven

model to build confidence, develop leadership skills and learn

the value of service to others.

Beyond an annual monetary contribution, our corporate leadership team is committed to

advancing the Girl Talk mission, through collaboration, resource sharing and professional

expertise. We are most proud of our independent sales consultants who have driven unprec-

edented Chapter growth in their local communities across the U.S. and Canada.”

“I envision a world where the confidence crisis among women

and girls no longer exists, a world where girls’ self-esteem never

peaks and a world where women are passionately leading at

least half of all Fortune 500 companies and more. At Girl Talk,

we know that there are so many ways to lead.

As we celebrate our 15th school year, I am humbled to reflect

back to 2002 when 50 girls were being served in Albany, GA.

Today more than 60,000 girls have been served throughout

North America & beyond. I am so proud of the progress that

Girl Talk has made. However, I am reminded that there is much work to be done. There are

more than 13 million girls in the United States alone whom we still need to reach.

And we will. Right now tens of thousands of Girl Talk Girls, Leaders and volunteers are paving

the way to a more confident world for girls. They are proof that when we focus our energies

on something we care about and channel our frustrations into insisting that things change,

then we can make a difference. We can create a world where every girl believes in herself.

Together…we can do this…one girl at a time.”

— Haley Kilpatrick, Girl Talk Founder

TESTIMONIALS

“Girl Talk really made me find my passion for mentorship. It not only made me a better leader but it showed me the real power of helping people and how much of an impact we can have on a person.” — Carmen Alvarez, Girl Talk Leader, 12th grade, Latina Talk Girl Talk Chapter (GA)

“My daughter, Kaelin Moore, has participated in the Girl Talk program for three years now. I have seen the program and leadership help to transform young girls into confident and strong young women full of purpose and zest for a bright future. As a mother I have always appreciated the quote saying that it takes a village to raise a child. The Girl Talk program certainly helps to give my daughter added support as she grows and becomes a woman of worth and great value.” — Angie Pridgen, Mother of a Girl Talk Girl

“A lot of lessons I’d learned, I realized I learned them at college…I had those epiphanies years later during my freshman year of college at the University of Southern California. Society tells us most of the time that there can only be one girl. There’s the prettiest girl, the most popular girl, the smartest girl. And then when you get older, it’s the one girl in the boardroom, the one girl who’s the COO of a Fortune 500 company. And I’ve realized through Girl Talk that there doesn’t have to be one—we can all succeed! One girl being pretty doesn’t make you any less pretty, the same way one girl being smart doesn’t make you any less smart. And I realized when I got to college when I had all of these friends...and I just felt nothing but support for them and when someone achieved something that I didn’t achieve, I had this joy for them. And I realized that a lot of the times I noticed this bitterness in my other friends that I didn’t have because I had been through Girl Talk and I knew that we could all succeed...we can all succeed together!” — Sydney Coleman, Alumna and former Girl Talk Camp Counselor

“My 9th grade daughter Hannah has helped out with the summer camps and has giving her time and talents in a variety of ways but even more important to her mother and me is what she has learned and how she has grown as a young women. That can never be mea-sured nor does it have a price tag but I guar-antee; as life goes on, Girl Talk will have made a huge difference in her life.” — Reide Onley, Father of a Girl Talk Leader, and Girl Talk Board Member

“In my 45 years of educational leadership, I have not witnessed a more productive activity for middle school girls. I only wish that all of the girls at the age level across the country could have the privilege of a similar experience.”— W.T. Henry, Retired Headmaster, Deerfield-Windsor School

“I believe in Girl Talk’s proven and unique model to empower all

young women to develop the confidence and leadership skills

that are needed throughout life. Confidence and leadership

are incredibly powerful tools to learn at that age. This organiza-

tion is in a pivotal position in its lifecycle, and I look forward to

identifying additional partners who are committed to helping us

develop a generation of strong, confident leaders. I am proud

to help lead Girl Talk into this exciting, next phase—where we

will have even greater impact.”
