FSG Acro-Geneva Club, who is celebrating its 25th Anniversary, approved by the Swiss Federation of Acrobatic Gymnastics (FSGA), by the Swiss Federation of Gymnastics (FSG), with the support of the city of Geneva, the city of Vernier, Geneva's Canton and with the help of the Geneva Association of Gymnastics (AGG) are pleased to organize the

17th Geneva International Acro Cup

This competition will take place in Switzerland in the city of Geneva between

May 10th to May 12th 2018.

This tournament is opened for National Teams as well as for Club Teams. The competition is being prepared in accordance with the Swiss and the FIG regulations and rules in the following age groups and categories :

SUI1-N SUI2-N 7 years to 15 years FSGA SDP-8 2018-2020 Rules Height deduction

SUI-YOUTH No limit of age FSGA SDP-8 2018-2020 Rules No height deduction

The Sports Complex is located near the Geneva International Airport/Railway of Cointrin.

Invited all national and regional teams and clubs.

29 countries which have already participate in previous GIAC (16 editions) and/or in FIG Acro World Cups (2 editions) :

Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great-Britain, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Monaco, Netherland, Poland, Portugal, Porto Rico, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, United State of America and Wales.

5. DELEGATION SIZE________________________________________________________________________________

Each delegation may include :

! 1 Head of delegation ! 1 Team manager ! 1-3 Coaches ! At least 1 judge is required for 5 pairs/groups participating

A second judge is required for more than 5th pairs/groups (No judge = penalty fee of CHF 300.— and number of pairs/groups participating limited to 3) International FIG judges have 20% discount in the meals package. Such discount will be calculated on the final invoice.

SENIOR : FIG Senior regulations and rules in accordance with FIG CoP 2017-2020 Age : minimum 11 years old / Height deduction Qualifications : 1 balance of max. 2’30’’ and 1 dynamic exercise of max. 2’00'' Finals : 1 combined exercise of max. 2’30’’ (starts from zero)

For the finals : top 6 if 1 to 8 pairs/groups top 8 if 9 to 16 pairs/groups top 12 if more than 16 pairs/groups

All the following FIG rules considered as valid in 2017 : Technical Regulations New Code of Points (2017-2020) SAWAGG Rules (latest version)

Each athlete can take part in the tournament only in one of the disciplines : pair or group and category.

9. REGISTRATION DEADLINES________________________________________________________________________________

! Provisional registration (no payment) : as soon as possible but at the very latest January 12th, 2018. First come, first serve !

! Nominative registration : by March 12th, 2018 (100% meals package + 100% entry fee are to be paid)

All registration must be sent on time to the OC : [email protected].

10. ENTRY FEE________________________________________________________________________________

! CHF 40.— per gymnast when meals package is taken. ! CHF 60.— per gymnast when meals package is not taken.

At the time of the nominative registration (March 12th, 2018) 100% of the entry fee must be paid to the OC.

The entry fee is not refundable.

11. MEALS PACKAGE________________________________________________________________________________

The meals package will be organised by the OC and includes :

! Thursday dinner ! Friday lunch + dinner ! Saturday lunch + farewell ticket

All the meals will be served at the Competition Hall except the banquet. Meals hours will be provided at accreditation. The farewell party will be organized and will be followed by disco in the Geneva Starling Hotel ****. All delegations that have booked and paid the accommodation package costs to the OC are invited to participate without additional payment. The delegation may purchase additional banquet tickets for CHF 60.— per person through the OC by March 19th, 2018 only.

The total amount must be paid with the Nominative registration by March 12th, 2018.

Meals package : CHF 110.— per person :

Thursday’s lunch and Sunday’s meals are at the expense of the participant (several restaurants close to the competition hall and the different accommodation place).

Breakfasts are to be booked with the hotel. Furthermore, drinks and snacks can be purchase at the competition hall (in Swiss Francs only).

12. ACCOMMODATION_________________________________________________________________________________

Upon your arrival at the hotel, ask the front desk to offer you the "Geneva Transport Card" that allows you to use public transport in Geneva free of charge during your stay and for your return to the Airport. Make sure all members of your team will keep their “Geneva Transport Card” with them at all times.

The Organiser suggests the following 4 hotels which are all located close to the competition hall :

The Suite Novotel and Ibis Budget Hotels are located at the same place and managed by the same Director. They are joined together by the “Swissbistro” restaurant (internal access from one hotel to the other). They are on the bus line between the Geneva Airport “Cointrin” and the City Centre. Approximately 15-20 minutes walking distance from the competition hall and close to the banquet hall. Across the street there is a shopping mall with many stores and restaurants “Balexert”.

The Ibis and Ibis Budget hotels are located at the same place and managed by the same Director. They are joined together and they share the restaurant “Swissbistro”. These two hotels are close to the competition hall, about 5 minutes by bus and 15 minutes by bus from the shopping mall “Balexert”. This hotel is not at walking distance with the competition hall.

All bookings must be made directly with the respective hotels.

13. TRANSPORT________________________________________________________________________________

All travel and transportation expenses are at the expenses of the participating clubs.

At your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by members of our OC. You will then be escorted by public transportation to your accommodation place or to the Sports Complex for accreditation and training according to the schedule.

Public transportation is free of charge for all persons arriving at the Geneva Airport.

A machine delivering free bus tickets is available in the arrival zone of the airport at the baggage collection area. Make sure the bus tickets have been taken before leaving the luggage collection zone (only 1 ticket per person). No more free bus tickets possibility after having passed the custom area.

Please issue your tickets at this machine before leaving the luggage collection zone :

The timetables and plans of the buses lines to be used from the hotels to the Sports Complex will be given to all the heads of delegation at the accreditation.

14. VISA________________________________________________________________________________

Please verify with your travel agent or the Swiss Embassy or Consulate in your country if a visa is required for your travel to Switzerland.

The OC will be happy to assist each delegation member with an official invitation letter, provided that the request is made before March 1st, 2018 to the OC.

The request must include the function, full name, gender, date of birth, citizenship and passport number, passport expiry date, the arrival and departure dates of the delegation member as well as the city the visa application support letter must be sent to.

15. INSURANCE_________________________________________________________________________

All participants are responsible for having the necessary coverage against accidents and illness.

The OC will verify the certificates of insurance of all delegation members upon arrival at accreditation. All accredited persons who cannot provide proof of adequate insurance coverage will not be allowed to compete.

16. ACCREDITATION________________________________________________________________________________

In order to accelerate the accreditation procedure, a photo of each delegation member is required and must be sent to the OC together with the Nominative registration by March 12th, 2018.

At accreditation, the Head of Delegation must :

! check the correct names of their complete delegation ! hand in the music CDs of the competitors (one CD per exercise with its cover correctly identified with the names

of the competitors, the event, the routine and club/nation ! hand in the tariff sheets that would have been modified and not yet communicated by mail to the OC before your

departure to Geneva (only 1 copy) ! verify with the Organizer all payment issues.

The Head of Delegation will receive a copy of all information and documents. All participants and officials are required to wear accreditation cards all the time.

17. TARIFF SHEETS - NEW SYSTEM________________________________________________________________________________

The GIAC 2018 will use a new application « Acro companion » to make tariff sheets and not the e-mail« suijudges » anymore. This application will be the only way to make a tariff sheets.

Acro Companion will be available from March 19th, 2018 until the end of the competition.

The deadline to send in your tariff sheets is Friday 27 april 2018.

To use « Acro companion » for the GIAC 2018, please follow the next steps :

1. As soon as you did the nominative registration (deadline March 12th, 2018), please send an e-mail [email protected] with:a. The email of the coach/coaches who will use the applicationANDb. the number of tariff sheet you will need (1 exercise = 1 tariff sheet).This information is needed to give every coach/all the coaches access to the application.Attention : giving you access can take us a few hours.

2. To start making your tariff sheet as a coach, go to the following browser link :https://www.acro-companion.com.

3. You can sign up to the application in three ways on this page:a. Sign up with a facebook account which is linked to the e-mail address you provided to Mathi Pascali.b. Sign up with a gmail account which is linked to the e-mail address you provided to Mathi Pascali.c. Sign up with the e-mail address you provided to Mathi Pascali and a password of your choice.

4. After signing up you will be taken to one of the following pages:a. If signing up with e-mail address, you will be asked to verify your e-mail address by clicking a link in an e-

mail which will be sent to your e-mail address.b. If you see an ‘unauthorized’ page, this means your e-mail address is not known to the application. Send an

e-mail to Mathi Pascali for support.c. If you are taken to a ‘create’ page you will be asked to define your category and the names of your team.

Here you have to select as competition: GIAC.After clicking ‘Create sheet’, you can start filling in your tariff sheet!

In case of any issue, you can contact Mathilda Pascali by mail ([email protected]).

18. FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS________________________________________________________________________________

The delegations are responsible for covering their accommodation and travel expenses.

! 100% of the total amount of the meals package AND entry fee must be paid with the nominative entry by March 12th, 2018. The entry fee is not refundable.

! Payments in Swiss Francs (CHF) only.

! No cheques, only bank transfers will be accepted.

19. MUSIC_________________________________________________________________________________

The music CD’s must be given to the OC upon arrival at accreditation : 1 copy for each routine for every pair/group.

In order to avoid a large amount of CD's, we kindly ask you to ONLY use DROPBOX or WETRANSFER to register and send all your music in MP3 format (with good quality) specifying :

the category_discipline_exercise_names of gymnasts_club/federation_country

example : AG1_W3_BAL_WHITE-RED-BLACK_ACRO-GENEVA_SUI.mp3

Categories abbreviations to be used : S1N = Swiss 1 National 7-15 S2N = Swiss 2 National 7-15 YOU = Swiss Youth AG1 = Age Group 8-16 AG2 = Age Group 9-18 JUN = Junior 10-19 SEN = Senior min.11

Please send your link to the music email address : [email protected], at the very latest March 12th, 2018.

This way the music sequence for podium training will be already set and it is easily managed in a few seconds, but also it prevents and reduces the number of errors and stops during the competitions.

20. JUDGES MEETING________________________________________________________________________________

The Judges meeting will be held on Wednesday 10th at 19:00 at the Sports Complex. All the judges must be present during this meeting.

21. LIVE STREAMING________________________________________________________________________________

The three days of competition will be filmed and can be followed on the official website of the Organizing Geneva Association : www.acrobaticsgeneva.ch - “Live Streaming”.

22. MEDAL AWARD CEREMONIES________________________________________________________________________________

The gymnasts are requested to participate in Medal Award Ceremonies and to appear in competition attire. Top 3 will receive medals and all gymnasts will receive a souvenir.
