Dear Stakeholder,
After a 60 day lockdown which most of us could never have imagined in our lifetime, the Ministry of Home Affairs and respective State Governments have initiated some easing of economic activity.
As the Golf Industry Association we are thrilled that the various efforts made by us and the support we received from the media, various government agencies and even individuals has ensured that we are one of the first sports that has seen a reopening.
Clearly the game will be played with many changes which will become the new normal and it is critical that all our member clubs and the others adhere strictly to the various safety norms as this will ensure both the end user ie the golfer and the staff are protected.
We have been delighted to see many of the major clubs produce a detailed guideline for this post lock down opening but for the others we are sharing what we have collated from the most respected associations of the world the R&A and USGA.
We hope you would find this small brochure useful.
Best Regards,
Brandon de SouzaPresidentGIA
