On the 1st day, Dan & Dionne from the Hairdressing & Barbering Department came along to do some demos - Dionne showed students how to style a ‘Beach Wave’ and ‘Hollywood Curls’ whilst Dan gave lots of tips on getting the perfect skin fade. On the 2nd day Rachel from the Beauty Dept came along to do nail art and hand massages with one of our Nail Services Students. We would like to say a big thank you to our Level 2 Hairdressing Apprentices, Eva & Lewis, and to our Level 3 Nail Services Student Bethan for giving up time on their days off to help us out at the event – you're all stars! If you would like to partake in any future events please let your assessor know. The Aspire Project launched its Opening Event on the 7th March at The Future Inn during National Apprenticeship Week. It was a resounding success with schools attending including a presence from Building Plymouth and multiple employers. The event saw talks from employers around Apprenticeships, the value that apprentices add to their businesses as well as identifying if an apprenticeship could be the right foundation for their career journey.
