DishaDishaDishaDishaAiming to inspire individuals to actualize their potential, Ghaziabad Management Association, an au-tonomous management association was set up in 1982 as a Registered Society under the aegis of late Shri Sitaram Jaipuria. GMA has striven for management expertise that can synthesize Indian ethos with international management thought and practices since its inception. During the short span of its existence, GMA has taken deep roots in the industrial city of Ghaziabad and has become an important forum of the business executives and other members to share their experiences and ideas to further the cause of management. It is striving to outline the present and future problems concerning manage-ment, while looking for perfect harmony in human relationships, which can take many forms, such as corporate, employers, employees, customers, and the members of the society we live in and facilitate individuals and organizations to include best management programs. It wouldn't have been possible without the strenuous efforts of late Dr. C.B.Gupta, Ex Director of Institute of Management Technology & Founder President of GMA. The activities of GMA got a further fillip after securing the permanent affili-ation to the Apex national body, All India Management Association, New Delhi, and registered under Societies Act.

INTERACTIVE SESSION ON SELF EMPOWERMENT BY Dr. S J RAO on December 21st at Sunder Deep Group

Ghaziabad Management Association, in association with Sunder Deep Group of Institutions organized an Interactive Session cum Guest Lecture on "Self Empow-erment" on 21st December, 2015 from 3:00 PM to 5.00 pm for the students of BBA, BCA, BA LLB and the Resident Engineering students. The speaker on the occasion was Dr. S J Rao, who, for the last three years is engaged in providing Solutions to SME segment in the area of Growth & Future Management applying OD (Organi-zational Development) tools for effective and efficient implementation. Earlier, for about four Years, Dr. Rao was CEO of Samcor Ltd., a joint venture company of Samtel Ltd with Corning International, USA.

2016 was welcomed by all with an element of hope? for a better year.

Even though times have been tough off late, everybody has fought like a warrior to battle the odds.

It will be a pleasure to see Ghaziabad growing amidst economic turmoil.

The infrastructure of Ghaziabad is slated to improve drastically and the citizens are looking forward to major changes.

Prime Minister Modi recently announced a fixed time line for comple-tion of ?widening of NH 24. This move has given a further boost to the infrastructure projects taken up by the UP Government.

The metro line is being built fast and citizens hope that the trains will start rolling in by next year end.

Dear readers, we look forward to get your views, articles and other contributions such as jokes, pictures, and anecdotes to help us keep the newsletter alive and kicking.

Dr Anju Saxena, Executive Director welcomed the speaker and the guests and Mr. Vinay Gupta, Executive Director informed the students and the faculty about the objectives and activities of the GMA and the importance of the topic of the lecture session. Mr. S S Sharma, an Executive Committee member of GMA also shared with the students about links of the organization with AIMA and as to how GMA could be helpful to them.

The presentation of Mr. Rao was very informative and exhorted the students to empower themselves and also explained them how they could achieve success in their goals. The presentation generated a great deal of inter-est among students and this led to a good amount of in-teraction during the session.
